We arrived at Kathmandu airport with only the plan that we wanted to do the 3 passes trek, we hadn’t actually organised anything, and were even thinking we would only need a guide for parts of the trek. Milan met us at the airport by chance, rode with us in our taxi to our hotel and said he’d be happy to help us with the whole trek, but without forcing us to use his company. We don’t regret a thing - we paid one very good price which included a guide from Kathmandu for the whole trek, the flights to and from Lukla, accomodation in lodges and teahouses and 3 meals a day. Milan even included paragliding, bunjee jumping and white water rafting in this same price.

The trek was stunning, lucky enough to have perfect weather for the most part. We also couldn’t have asked for a better guide, Rajan was perfect for us, took us at our pace and taught us so much about Nepal and the culture that we never would’ve been able to learn without him. He became not only a brilliant companion but a good friend who we hope to see again. Once we arrived back in Kathmandu after the trek he even took us to his sister’s home and we were given a perfect home cooked Dhal bhat - a real treat after all the mountain food we’d been having.

Overall, Himalayan Spirit Adventure has turned out to be a very good find, and Milan an excellent organiser and very fair businessman. He’s even taking us out to dinner tonight! We are very pleased and happy that our 2months in Nepal has started so well. Thank you Milan and the team!

We had an unbelievable trip to the Himalayan mountains & booked our guide through Himalayan spirit adventures once we arrived in Kathmandu. Milan was very helpful & we managed to get a really good price, definitely recommend booking with this company for a reasonably priced trek. Only thing to note was the guide didn’t have great English but this wasn’t the end of the world. Overall great experience. We even got a free helicopter upgrade on the way there!

Mister Adhikari created a fantastic tour package for 18 days. I showed him places of interest and he came up with a package that turned out amazing. I recommend setting up tours with him because he is experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly. We enjoyed all of our personal guides and the drivers were very professional. We bonded with the 2 major guides, Laxman and Ganesh. We enjoyed Laxman as one of our guides. He is experienced in trekking, so I would ask for him as a trekking guide if you want someone who is personable, funny and knowledgeable. We had Ganesh as our city guide. He was always making us laugh and once he figured out our interests, he accommodated us. Before signing up, research the places to make sure you are able to see the places you want. They should easily accommodate you.

We were recommended to use Himalayan Spirit Adventures by our hotel and two days before we started the trek we met with Milan to organise our logistics. He was quite distracted by other permits he was putting through which made it a bit tricky. We met our guide the day before our trek. We did ask him how many times he’d done the Manaslu, however I would recommend asking your guide when they last did it. It’s also good to check that they speak really good English as this was something that was a challenge at times. We had an amazing time on the Manaslu Circuit and found our guide good most of the time. We just found it hard to communicate with our guide sometimes and didn’t find that he was very clear at times. He often wasn’t sure which was to go and we sometimes asked other guides questions in order to gain clarification on things.

The Manaslu circuit itself is an amazing hike and I’d recommend it. We also did the Tsum Valley and a day hike to Rui La (the Tibetan border).

Decided on where I wanted to trek and after contacting Himalayan Spirit Adventures I was able to start the following day. Everything was organised and my guide Dhubar was outstanding, really helpful and adaptable, when I changed a bit of the itinerary part the way through the trek, it was no problem. Would highly recommend them.

We've had a great experience with the Himalayan Spirit Adventure Agency.

Planning the trip inside the office was great, even though we had a rather small budget, they managed to arrange a good route and a great guide for our trip. Everything was included: ride to Pokhara, hotel, tea houses, food, permits, costs for the guide and a jeep to get back down. Compared to other very unserious offers, this agency is trying to plan for a good experience instead of just making money. I would highly recommended these guys to everyone coming to Nepal.

A big shout-out to our guide, whom we just called " the machine", probably the most humble, calm and well organised person i've ever met.
One day before the start of the track, one of the guys damaged his knee. Our guide postponed the trip for one day and took our hurt friend to the hospital. He dealt with everything and made sure our friend got the best medical support possible. After that he replanned the entire trip, he had to call every tea house and rebooked everything, so at least 3 guys could start the trip the next day.

On the first day of the trip one of our friends got altitude sickness. So the guide had to cancel the trip again and managed to get everybody down before dawn. Taking care of our sick friend the entire time.

He stayed calm and humble even though it was probably very stressful for him.
We managed to enjoy the last days with him organizing a little boat trip on the lake and having a couple drinks in some local bars. He got us safely back to Kathmandu and even invited us to enjoy dinner with him and his family even though us five german fools made him so many problems.

This guy is just amazing.

One little note for people who think about going trekking in the Himalayas:

be prepared even though tracks like poon hill might be declared good for beginners, they are harder then most tracks in Europe. You should at least get a certain amount of trekking experience and you need a good physical shape to not endure the same issues as we did, altitude sickness is no joke!

I participated in the 8-day Langtang Valley tour.

① Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by bus

② Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

③ Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley

④ Langtang Valley to Kenjin Gompa

⑤ From Kenjin Gompa, we were supposed to climb further and spend the night there, but we had to descend due to altitude sickness. We went to the riverside just before Lama Hotel

⑥ Riverside to Syabrubesi

⑦ With the extra day, we explored the town of Syabrubesi and visited the hydroelectric power plant.

⑧ Syabrubesi to Kathmandu by bus

Our guide, Dhurba, was very kind and flexible when I suddenly felt unwell. He even gave us discounts on the WiFi at the accommodations along the way and at souvenir shops without us even realizing it. At the Jambelbesi power plant, smartphones are not allowed, so I think it was a place that foreigners probably could not enter on their own, so it was a valuable experience.

At first glance, the tour may seem a little expensive, but considering the quality of the service, I think it is a reasonable and conscientious intermediary company.

I recently completed the Sundarijal-Chisapani-Nagarkot hike with Himalayan Spirit Adventure Treks & Expedition, and it was an unforgettable experience! We had two overnights along the way with comfortable accommodations, which added to the overall enjoyment. Dhurba, my guide, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the trek, ensuring everything went smoothly.

While the weather was foggy and obscured the Himalayan views, the hike was still incredibly rewarding. Walking through lush forests, charming villages, and enjoying delicious local food along the way made it a memorable journey. I also booked the Himalayan mountain flight with this group, which was breathtaking. There was a small hiccup with transportation at one point, but the team rectified the situation and assured me that it would not happen again which it didn’t.

I know it can feel risky to trust someone with your money when you’ve never met them, but I decided to roll the dice with this company, and I was not disappointed. Himalayan Spirit Adventure Treks & Expedition exceeded my expectations with their professionalism and organization. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a well-planned and authentic trekking adventure. I can’t wait to return and take on another trek—hopefully under clearer skies next time!

Milan and his team are amazing! They took care of everything, they really did listen to my needs and never ever tried to oversell me. In fact, they were quick to offer refunds (e.g. when I took a helicopter instead of a plane back from the Himalayas to Kathmandu).

They really know what they’re talking about, they’re kind, and they made my time in Nepal so much more enjoyable and hassle free.

They helped me rent a motorcycle and plan my trip to Bandipur and Pokhara. They organized the best hotels for the best prices. And, they helped me get my flights and trek ready for my hike to Everest Base Camp. And, they were constantly checking in with me! That’s superb service!

If you go to Nepal, make sure you get in touch with Milan and his team!
