About Vespa Valley
The Vespa Advantage; Apart from being uber cool, there's no better way to really experience where you are. You're not wrestling for a view from the back of a car or bus - you're right there in the hustle and bustle, sun on your back, wind in your hair.

The tour with Ritesh was super fun! I had a great day and came back with a huge smile on my face! Ritesh was a very good and safe driver - so no need to be afraid of going into the Kathmandu traffic on the back of a bike. You will not sit on the bike for 6 hours straight but go wander and learn a lot about the city and its sights. One important thing: I couldn’t book through the website, but had to use Facebook Messenger to get in touch with Vespa Valley. Once I did that everything went smooth. Just do it, you will definitely yourself!

I’m in my 50s and rather plump and wanted to find a way of engaging my teenage son in the wonderful culture and history of Kathmandu. I was nervous before we started but our guides – Ritesh and Niraz – were so lovely and patient, I was completely at my ease within a few minutes. We felt totally safe throughout our time on and off the bikes and Ritesh and Niraz looked after us brilliantly. We did the mo-mo-mania tour at the beginning of our holiday which was an excellent start. It gave us the chance to explore the crazy city of Kathmandu and enjoy the culinary delights of mo-mos, lassi and massala tea with our lovely, knowledgeable and fun guides. (The mo-mos were excellent but I loved the local tea house best of all – we went back on our own the next day to enjoy it again.) We had such an amazing time zipping through tiny back streets, navigating the medieval mayhem of Asan Tole and chatting with Ritesh and Niraz, that we booked up to do the Villages of the Valley tour at the end of our holiday. This was even more fantastic fun than the mo-mo tour! Ritesh and Niraz were great to spend time with and helped us buy souvenirs at a fraction of what they would have cost us alone. We visited a “secret” Newari restaurant in Kirtipur which was an amazing experience. It’s worth looking at the menu – eyeballs, ears and other such ingredients on offer, but Ritesh and Niraz looked after our vegetarian requirements perfectly. Taking a tour with Vespa Valley not only enabled us to see many hidden gems of life in the Kathmandu Valley, but more importantly it enabled us to understand what we were seeing. Through Ritesh and Niraz we were able to appreciate both the historical culture and what it means to grow up in Nepal today. It was an unforgettable experience and I wish we could have postponed our flight home so we could have gone out on the bikes again… and again … and again. Our time spent with Vespa Valley was easily the most fun experience of our whole wonderful trip to Nepal.

The trip was highly enjoyable via Vespa. We got around traffic in the city pretty quickly and definitely safe! Ritesh and his co-rider ensured our safety at all times. We definitely enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant in Kirtipur. The place comes highly recommended by Ritesh and we certainly can understand why. It was a culturally different experience. We ate from biodegradable plates made from leaves and sat on floor mats. If it weren't due to rain, we would have many more photo opportunities. The view of Kirtipur village from the entrance was one of it's kind. Our tour was well organised and had a certain level of flexibility. The organisers were thoughtful to provide face scarf against dust and advised us to wear long sleeves and took into consideration our diet restrictions. I would recommend this tour! Thank you Ritesh for putting this together!

If you are in Kathmandu and don't include a Vespa tour of the city, you are missing out. I recently did the Villages of the Valley tour with Ritesh and my experience was fantastic. Not only was the tour a great way to see more of the city/surrounding areas, but Ritesh was a great guide with knowledge of the history of the city and country that gave a great perspective during the ride. There wasn't a question I had that he didn't have the answer to. If/when I go back, I am definitely going on another tour with this company,
