I did a little bit of research prior to the trip and found a few people recommending to go in early December in order to miss the heavy crowd and get the best weather (if you're not scared of a little snow). However, because of a string of unexpected events I ended up arriving in Nepal on the 18th of December, starting the trek on the 19th, and finishing right on NYE.
Chandra was amazing to deal with from the start to finish, from planning my itinerary, to sorting our all of my permits prior to my arrival. I had Bashu as my guide and Umesh as my porter, and honestly couldn't have asked for better trekking companions.
It was my first time travelling solo, my first time in Nepal, and also my first time doing a trek of this scale. I was severely underprepared for this trek and weather conditions, however Bashu and Umesh both did their best to make sure I felt safe and comfortable all throughout my journey.
Some days you push your body to its absolute limit, but every single day you are rewarded with sceneries that are absolutely out of this world. Definitely a trip that will stay with me for life, and something I'll be recommending to everyone. Thank you Chandra, Bashu and Umesh for making it a smooth sailing journey for me! Can't wait to make my way back to Nepal and trek other parts of the Himalayas <3

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek - Oct/Nov 2022
This was my second trek with HimalayaGuideNepal and as expected our Manaslu & Tsum Valley trek was fantastic from start to finish. Arranging the entire trip with Chandra via email was extremely easy and once we arrived all our needs were met from the time we were picked up at the airport until we left Nepal. Chandra also arranged for our group of five to go on a two-day guided tour of Kathmandu prior to our trek and we visited the old parts of the city along with many Buddhist and Hindu temples. Great two days of exploring the city. I can’t say enough good things about our trekking guide Bashu. He took great care of us and made sure we had an absolutely wonderful time throughout our entire trek. After trekking with Himalaya Guide Nepal two times, I highly recommend them for anyone considering a trip to Nepal. They are simply the best.

Spectacular!! Between Oct-November I was part of a 5-man group to visit Nepal and trek the Tsum Valley and Manaslu circuit. Spectacular in every way. This was my first experience in Napal and the Himalaya Guide Nepal service, by Chandra was exceptional and took care of all of our arrangements for the entire trip which improved the experience so much more not worrying about the details. The trip was flawless, the friends terrific, and our guide Bashu outstanding.
Chandra’s management of the process was perfectly prepared and executed from the moment we landed in Katmandu till we arrived back at the airport to return home. Chandra arranged sightseeing with guide Manraj for two days that left my mind spinning with so much information on the city and more importantly the cultures of Nepal. Just an amazing experience for two days.
Our trekking guide Bashu was spectacular. He looked out after every detail of our trek and made sure we had a safe and very enjoyable trip. Bashu shared his knowledge of so much along the way and helped us enjoy the local cultures which I love to do. His compassion for us was so evident and his demeaner so gracious. We all enjoyed each other’s company. As my partners on this trip have said, I can’t say enough about Bashu. He made this a trip I will never forget.
The Nepali people are so gracious and wonderful. Everywhere we went we were met with incredible graciousness and caring. So many great memories because of the people.
I hope to return some day for a different trek and will absolutely call on Himalaya Guide Nepal for their excellent services. I absolutely recommend them.

We planned this trip in April 2023. From the beginning we could ask anything, suggest and adjust everything. First we had a videocall on WhatsApp with Chandra Gurung which gave us a good feeling of trust and possibilities. We read good things about guide Denish Gurung and he really went above our expectations: dedicated, flexible, interested, always looking for the nicest and best possibilities for our group. We realise what a huge responsability he took for us. We had nice talks and interesting conversations. (Dinesh even has a master degree English literature). Prices are fair, no discussions along the way, you know what is included and what is not included. I don't think there is a better choice if you want to go on a Manaslu Circuit trekking. The side trip to Serang Gumba was worth the 3 days extra! Thank you so much Dinesh and Chandra, Rason and Govinda for everything!!

We made a fantastic trekking around the Manaslu. We looked for a local organisation and found Himalayan Guide Nepal offering competitive all inclusive formulas and possibilities for side tours and specials. After a live WhatsApp contact we felt confidedent, and Chandra Gurung organised specifically for us a side trip with visit and meditation in the Syarang Gompa, one of the Five Hidden Valleys monasteries. Chandra could also provide our guide, at our request, his brother Dinesh. He knows and speaks English very well, and he is a dedicated, careful and caring, concerned and very responsible guide, leader and teacher. He looked out for the best spots to stay, rooms with the nicest views and sanitary wherever possible. The daily briefings were correct and he offered us also possibilities for small adaptations. On our acclimatisation day in Samagaun he gave us the opportunity to reach the Manaslu base camp. Great ! When we were tired in Bimthang we changed our planning after consultation and consideration of the options. He such a nice guy, taking good care of us and the porters. Always very dedicated, eager to help, and comforting when necessary. He made our adventure to a fantastic stressless experience without , as we could always trust Dinesh. Top guide in top organisation.

I have just completed a trek to Upper Mustang with Himalaya Guide Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and it was a very positive experience. The reason I chose this company from several others was due to the quick and professional responses from Chandra, the head of the company, and their reasonable pricing.
The organization of the trip was impressive, starting with a seamless airport pickup. On the trek, my guide Dinesh, who is local to Upper Mustang, provided an insightful experience. His knowledge of the local dialect, culture, and lesser-known trails enriched the journey significantly. He was pleasant and professional, making the trek enjoyable. He also gave me invaluable advise on food, so I have never had any problems with stomach (which I afraid at the beginning of my trip).
My porter, Binod, also added greatly to the experience. His handling of the luggage was efficient, and his positive demeanor, including occasional humming of folk songs, brought a unique charm to the trip.
This trek was memorable, and I am considering returning to Nepal for the Annapurna Circuit.

Kanchenjunga Trekking from 5th to 30th October 2022, first we walked from Taplejung to North Base Camp and then we crossed the Selele pass to South Base Camp. WE went back through Yamphudin (beautiful village and comfortable lodge), and in Kebang we took a jeep to reach the road to Ilam and Badhrapur
This the second time I deal with Chandra (Himalaya Guide Nepal), first time was Manaslu and Tsum Valley Trek, and I did the right decision of choosing them.
Everything ran well during the trek, the HGN guide Bashu and the porters Lapka and Govinda were good people, reliable and friendly, which made easier to spend almost three weeks walking in the mountains.
This the second time I deal with Chandra (Himalaya Guide Nepal), first time was Manaslu and Tsum Valley Trek, and I did the right decision of choosing them.
Everything ran well during the trek, the HGN guide Bashu and the porters Lapka and Govinda were good people, reliable and friendly, which made easier to spend almost three weeks walking in the mountains.

Langtang Gosainkunda Trek 2023
This is our 5th trek in Nepal and every time with Himalaya Guide Nepal PVT Ltd.
The trek was wonderful with spectacular scenery but made all the more special with our amazing guide Kumar and porter, Basing. The trek was harder than we expected with a lot of relentless uphill (especially the first couple of days) and I think we’ve got a bit slower now we’re in our late 60’s. Despite this we still had a lot of laughs, an enjoyable time and were held in awe of the many incredible views. I struggle to find words to express my gratitude to Kumar and Basing. Kumar is a very talented young man (if you get an opportunity make sure he plays guitar and sings - you’ll be most impressed), kind, caring and thoughtful apart from being an expert guide. Because we could trust him implicitly it made a relaxing trek for us since all our worries were completely taken care of. As for Basing, even though he carried a heavy load he was never short of a smile or helping hand. Needless to say I highly recommend Himalaya Guide Nepal PVT Ltd for all trekking in Nepal.

We made a fantastic Manaslu Trekking Tour in October 2023 thanks to Mr. Chandra and his team. Our guide was Mr. Dinesh, the brother of Mr. Chandra.
Everything was perfectly organized. It started from the very beginning and the early preparations 6 months ago: we had several mail exchanges and a live WhatsApp meeting to discuss the program. Mr. Chandra listened very well to our expectations and tailored the trip exactly to our needs and possibilities. He also facilitated the support to a local school, which was very impressive.
From our arrival at the Kathmandu airport untill the end of our adventure we were guided by Dinesh. He did this in such a great way: highly responsible, extraordinary friendly, very skillful (he teached us a lot about the mountains, the local culture, the nature,...), attentive and patient, encouraging when necessary (the trip is sometimes challenging), ... He managed every day of the trip in a perfect way. We felt so well supported and perfectly safe. We are so thankful to Dinesh and the 2 helpers, Govinda and Rajan !
We ended our fantastic 3-weeks travel in Nepal with a sightseeing day in Kathmandu. Unfortunately our time was up, as 1 day is far too short to visit this fascinating city. Also this day was perfectly organized and very relaxing and interesting.
We have made several travels in many countries, and Himalaya Guide Nepal is definitely one of the best travel organizations we experienced yet. We are so thankful for the great experience and friendship.

The manaslu circuit treck was great! Well organised by Chandra in the weeks before coming to Kathmandu. Our guide Dinesh and porter Birsing where flexible during our treck. They adjusted the itinerary due to knee problems, therefore the entire family was able to complete the trail. The company provided us with down jackets and good sleepingbaggs which was great during the colder evenings and nights. Dinesh and Birsing took care of us by providing fresh fruits and giving us information about the nature and nepali culture. Would certainly recommend himalaya guide Nepal!
