I did a little bit of research prior to the trip and found a few people recommending to go in early December in order to miss the heavy crowd and get the best weather (if you're not scared of a little snow). However, because of a string of unexpected events I ended up arriving in Nepal on the 18th of December, starting the trek on the 19th, and finishing right on NYE. Chandra was amazing to deal with from the start to finish, from planning my itinerary, to sorting our all of my permits prior to my arrival. I had Bashu as my guide and Umesh as my porter, and honestly couldn't have asked for better trekking companions. It was my first time travelling solo, my first time in Nepal, and also my first time doing a trek of this scale. I was severely underprepared for this trek and weather conditions, however Bashu and Umesh both did their best to make sure I felt safe and comfortable all throughout my journey. Some days you push your body to its absolute limit, but every single day you are rewarded with sceneries that are absolutely out of this world. Definitely a trip that will stay with me for life, and something I'll be recommending to everyone. Thank you Chandra, Bashu and Umesh for making it a smooth sailing journey for me! Can't wait to make my way back to Nepal and trek other parts of the Himalayas <3

Wow what a trek! We booked to go in December - after hearing that the weather was clearer, there were less hikers (& less vehicles on the roads) & it was the only time we could visit. Unfortunately we could not complete the circuit as there was too much snow up at Thorung La Pass at the time (it improved a few days after we headed back but we didn't have enough time to wait for the snow to dissipate). However, we had the most amazing journey!. Every day was different & spectacular walking through quaint villages nestled among the Himalayas - we had hot sunny days at the start, to misty subzero snowy days in Manang. With regards to Himalaya Guide Nepal - they made this trip what it was. Prior to arriving in Nepal, Chandra (the manager) was responsive to our questions via email - organising permits, accommodation & our guide. We were welcomed at the airport by our brilliant guide Ramesh. He was very friendly & always made sure we were comfortable & safe. I trusted Ramesh with our safety & on retrospect, every decision that he made (particularly in the snow) was the right one. Finally, all the tiny details - whether it be good accommodation for the night, best places to stop for a teabreak, visiting hotsprings etc was the cherry on the cake & did not go unnoticed. I certainly recommend Himalaya Guide Nepal (& Ramesh) if you're thinking about a trek in Nepal!

Amazing experience with Himalaya Guide Nepal completing the Annapurna Circuit. My brother and I decided to use this locally based company rather than a larger organisation for a more authentic experience. Chandra was very responsive to all our questions prior to the trip. He and our guide, Bashu, were fantastic throughout our trek. Bashu and the porters were very familar with the circuit having done it many times before. They were able to provide us with good information about our surrounds and the trek ahead of each day. Bashu and porters were very easy to communicate with and happy to talk to us. I encourage all to use Himalaya Guide Nepal...I will be using them on my next trek in the region.

I booked in the Annapurna Circuit trek during off season time in mid to late December. The trek was absolutely amazing with stunning views and excellent guest houses, food and amazing Nepali people. My guide was Pratap from Himalaya Guide Nepal and I can’t be more happy with how well he looked after me. I always felt cared for and all my needs were met. Pratap is an amazing guide, he is very experienced and super friendly, kind and fun to trek with. I felt like I not only had a guide but a friend too, he even taught me some Nepali! I can’t recommend this company enough, you won’t be disappointed. I am already looking forward to booking my next trip with them - Upper Mustang !
