The Forbidden Ride is a fantastic adventure deep into Upper Mustang with wildtracksnepal. We were a group of three bikes guided by the knowledgable Mr Sherap on a custom itinerary from Kathmandu to Lo Manthang via Manang. Aside from the wonderful mobike ride, cultural highlights include ancient temples, monasteries, forts and palaces plus the sky caves of Chhosar. Many memorable interactions with friendly locals all along the way. Special treats incl the best momos, fresh Tibetan bread, mustang coffee and hot butter tea - all part of the journey.! All bookings, comfy accoms and special permits were taken care of by Mr Sherap. wildtracksnepal is highly recommended 10/10 👍🏼 more pics on #motopasta

We have now traveled with Wild Tracks Adventure twice and are hoping to make it a third time. Not only is Sherap an excellent rider and guide but he is also very knowledgable about his country and culture. He is always enthusiastic and ready for wherever the day may take you. He is incredibly accommodating to his guests. After only a few days into the trip you will feel like family. When traveling with Sherap you can always rest assured that you'll be well taken care of.

There was 7 of us going for a tour from the 8th of June to the 3rd of August and after giving Sherap a broad outline of what we wanted to do he organised everything for us. We did the Himalayas from Manali to Srinagar on Royal Enfields which was the most incredible experience with many challenges but so wonderful. Then side trips to Jaipur and Agra as well as sight seeing around Delhi. The trip was amazing and I would highly recommend Wild Tracks Nepal and this won't be the last trip we do with them. 10/10 Sherap.

Beep-beep.....Toot-toot.....Tee-too-tee
These are the sounds that greet you while fighting your way through the crazy traffic in and out of Kathmandu. They are replaced by the tranquillity of turquoise rivers and snow-capped mountains in the distance and hills covered in lush vegetation - and of course friendly villagers, as well as a dog or two chasing the bikes!
My boyfriend and I did the "Road to Mustang" trip on two Royal Enfield motorbikes. We were accompanied by our excellent tour guide, Sonam, and mechanic Raju.
Our first night was spent in a luxurious new hotel in Pokhara. From day 2 onwards we exchanged tar roads for the more adventurous dusty ones. There was sand...and more sand, and huge rocks, uphills and downhills, and hairpin curves with a combination of all those mentioned, but never far from beautiful vistas of the Annapurna mountains and rivers with suspension bridges adorned with colourful prayer flags.
In Tatopani we could already sense we were entering the remoter parts of Nepal, and stopping over for lunch in Kalopani made us realise we were finally living our dream of riding in Mustang. We travelled all the way up to Muktinath (3800m and well above tree-line) and were surrounded by snowy mountains, gravel roads, and colourful houses. Seeing all the colourful yak wool shawls and ladies busy weaving them, we couldn't help but stop and buy gifts to take home. By now the temperature was also well below zero. However, we always had the comfort of hearty Nepali dishes
or Western food like pizzas and pastas or burgers to choose from. We also had the privilege of free wifi at the lodges we stayed in, to send pictures to our friends and families back home in South Africa.
In every village we were always greeted by curious, sometimes shy, laughing children - Muktinath, Marpha, Jomsom, and Kalopani especially. Books and colourful pens, socks and neck warmers (buffs) are welcome gifts for these young children.
Reaching the outskirts of Kathmandu again after 8 days of riding made us want to turn back. We will most definitely return to Nepal, to ride Upper Mustang and more.

Sherap Sherpa provides a great tour. The bike i rode was a Royal Enfield Bullet Machismo 500. It was a great bike. Barely skipped a beat (broke a clutch cable on day 2 but was easily fixed by Sherap).
The hotels we stayed in were great. Very clean, great service. We travelled from kathmandu to gorkha, bandipur, tansen, pokhora, lumbini, chitwan and back to kathmandu.
Lunch on the road was one of the highlights. Eating at various roadhouses along the way. Mainly eating dahl bhat but also going for great momo in pokhora aswell as pork BBQ.
Sherap is a true enthusiast of enfields, nepali cuisine and most nepali culture. He's very friendly and i can't wait to start organising my next tour with him.

Motorcycling in Nepal is hard. From the utterly insane traffic in Kathmandu, to the muddy, slippery and pot-holed roads out in the mountains. And that's why you need people like Sherap and his fleet of indestructible Royal Enfields to get you out there to enjoy this astonishing experience! I didn't have much time in Nepal, so I opted for one of Sherap's overnight rides. We did almost 100Km to get to our destination over fantastically challenging roads (for a spoiled highway-biker like me).
This is a fully-inclusive service: meals, accommodation, fuel, maintenance: everything was included in the cost, allowing me to just relax and enjoy the riding. The bike was in fine condition and - to my relief - had a left-foot gear shift! (Basically, if you can ride a Honda, you can ride the Royal Enfield.)
Sherap was also great at communicating during the pre-trip period, replying to e-mails quickly and answering all my questions.
I can't recommend this enough. If you can ride a bike, have a little bit of a sense of adventure, and want to see a side of Nepal that nobody else will see, Wild Tracks is the answer!

In May this year, a few friends and I embarked on a journey of a lifetime with WildTracks. We were extremely fortunate to find Sherap, who was a wonderful host on this gruelling yet rewarding trip from KTM to Mustang bordering Tibet. He was a great host, proud and knowledgeable host to Nepal, and someone who we now consider a good friend. We are now planning our next expedition with him to Tibet. Highly recommended.

Sherap is the person to look for! Wildtracks Adventure Kathmandu. He not only guided me through and through, he gave us so much other extra services. He gave us a really reliable bike Himalayan Royal Enfield. From explaining how its done, weather forecast, and with really his care, me and my wife was confident to hire 7 days from him. This company also arranged a the documents needed for us. We have search for almost 5 companies before we decided to engage him and trully, u can trust Sherap. Thank you again Wildtracks Adventure for such a great service. We are coming back for more!
