Dec 2019 • Friends
Sorry for late review as visited in December 2019.

Me and a friend did a short tour of Nepal taking in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan.

Before visiting we did a lot of research on tour companies and found Nilam and Asian Heritage Tours to be the absolute best in terms of requirements, inclusions, price and response times. Although there was a time difference, before, during and even after travel Nilam was extremely prompt, friendly and helpful.

Throughout the tour all hotels were well located, clean and comfortable, all tours and activities ran like clockwork, the transfers between places/airports were all on time and our driver was also friendly and helpful.

We were ill for 1 day whilst in Pokhara so had to cancel that day’s activities. Nilam kept in touch with us throughout the day to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything, medical attention etc which went above and beyond a normal tour guide.

Nilam also took us for a lovely meal in Kathmandu and we had a wonderful evening chatting with him about everything and anything.

It was so nice at the end of the tour too (before heading to the airport) meeting Nilam’s family, office and workforce all of whom were exceptionally welcoming, helpful and friendly

Would highly recommend this tour company to anybody and would not hesitate to use this company again. We had an excellent holiday and a lot of it is down to the seamlessness and ease of this tour and the exceptional service and hospitality of Nilam!

This was a personalized trip within Kathmandu (4 days)and 2 days in pokhra. We were lucky that the monsoons were not there yet. We loved the services offered. The hotels were nice and decent since we didn't intend to spend much time indoors as we spend most of the time site seeing. We covered most of Kathmandu. The site seeing was not too stressful since we stuck to 3-4 places per day. The guides were very warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We were provided with a vehicle n driver all through the trip. The restaurants suggested by the staff were very good. They had a nice ambience and good to spend time with family. We spent about 2 days in pokhara. The only hiccup was that we decided to travel to pokhara by car. The roads are not in good condition and it took about 9 hours to reach pokhara from Kathmandu. While returning we booked a flight to Kathmandu from pokhara. Travel time was just 20-25 mins and it was comfortable. So if the weather is nice, it is better to take a flight to and from pokhara. We could customize our trip during the trip. It was suggested by our guide that chandragiri was a good place to go. With a short notice, trip to chandragiri was arranged and it was quite memorable. Also the guides were knowledgeable about the local artisans and shops offering authentic souvenirs. On the whole I would highly recommend this tour company. They are very warm, friendly and take all suggestions in good spirit and ensured that our travel, stay and sightseeing were as comfortable as possible. Also regarding the rates they offered, it felt reasonable when compared to other tours as well. Overall it was a memorable tour. Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Nilhari Bastola aka Neelamji for inviting us for dinner on the last day and sharing with us his experience in the tourism industry and about Nepal in general. It was very insightful.

We had a very well organised trip in Nepal. Our first days we were in Kathmandu. Our driver showed us the magnificent sites in and around Kathmandu. After that, we went from Kathmandu to Lukla. From there we did a trekking to Namche Bazar. with a private guide (and porter). He was a very kind and attentive man and we felt very safe. We would go to Tengboche but the weather let us down. After the trekking our driver took us to Pokhara via Bandipur where we stayed a few nights. At the end of our trip we flew back to Kathmandu. All in all a memorable trip thanks to Asian Heritage travel & treks

The 12 days journey was a great experience! I would recommend this travel agency to everyone because they will adapt the travelling until every traveler is happy! All guides including Nabaraj Ghimire and Phuyal Rohit were very informative and friendly - as was the office manager Devi! Although we booked as group tour my friend and me ended up having a private tour. Everyone truly did an amazing job - thank you for this unforgettable journey!

A couple years ago we enjoyed a real cooking class from Nilam and Mina, we were cooking traditional Dahl Bat and momos. Last month we participate in an online cooking class and that was an amazing experience. It was a flashback to our time during the real cooking glass. The food tasted a little bit different than the other time but it was still really delicious.

Freshly landed in Kathmandu in September 2018 for a stay of 3 months, a very happy chance put us in touch with Nilam and his agency "ASIAN HERITAGE TREKS" ... and it was our lucky day !

My husband and I wanted to organize a 60 days trekking to discover the Solu-Khumbu region. It was important for us to spend time in the remote areas, protected of mass tourism, and continue our adventure by joining the Everest base camp and the Kala-Patthar viewpoint through the traditional trekking trails.
We wanted above all to discover the reality of the Nepalese people, their life and their traditional culture, off the beaten path. Walking these remote areas on foot has allowed us to discover and share some of the hard reality of Nepali life in the countryside, where everything is done by hand. We have especially discovered the kindness and smiles of this people who has always opened the doors of their home with so much kindness.

Nilam and his agency : From our first meeting, it became clear to us that a good relationship of trust had naturally established with its director Nilam. In excellent professional very friendly and caring, Nilam has created an agency in his image : Beautiful !
Always listening to us, he immediately understood our expectations, he also very well perceived and reassured our fears to launch "just the feeling" in such a great adventure. With all his team, he has concocted a magnificent program of personal trekking program, leaving plenty to adventure and improvisation day by day, according to our favorite places, our physical abilities and our adaptation.
We realized our trek from October 2nd to November 31st 2018

Naresh, our guide : Walking together for 60 days, we had the time to get to know each other ! As a very experienced guide, Naresh has made this extraordinary trip a moment of sharing and happiness of great depth.
He loves his job, it's obvious !
Very professional, excellent communicator and very endearing, Naresh has a great mastery of his profession and a perfect knowledge of this whole region. He quickly understood how we worked, knew how to adapt to our pace of walking, and compose our itineraries and stages according to our physical form of the day. As he knows very well all the possibilities of lodging, he always did the best for our comfort and our well-being.
He also knows, and it is vital, to perfectly prevent and identify all the problems caused by acute mountain sickness. He also managed very smoothly his team of 2 porters, the very nice and happy Harry and Krishna !
Thanks to his charisma and talent, he gave us the gift of an exceptional and fascinating stay. He knew how to weave between our different cultures a family link always very happy, where everyone had to discover the other and make us forget our status of "customers"
Conclusion, Naresh is a must guide !

OUR MOST SINCERE THANKS to Nilam, Naresh and all your very professional teams : with the perfect organization of this extraordinary trek ... you have made a wonderful and extraordinary gift.
The success of this trek is our success to all of us, together !!!

The Asian trek team did an excellent job of organising a special trip for us. Reaching ABC on Christmas day. The trek offered lots of ups and a few downs and on occasions it took a lot of courage to keep moving up the steps. The scenery along the route was varied and very interesting. There is also lots to know about the geology of the area. It is a region that is rich in mineralisation. Considered as a moderate difficulty in terms of effort the trip is well worth it.
