Sitting in my hotel room in Kathmandu. I just left Ayurveda Health Home Nagarjuna after a 28 day Panchakarma retreat. I came here after 2 years of increasing serious health issues and a growing chronic pain level in my body. I had to stop working 6 weeks ago and I was desperate about the situation that nobody could realy help me. I remembered my first contact with Ayurveda and the Health Home in Kathmandu in 2014 when I only had 2 short treatments during a pilgrimage in the Kathmandu valley. I thought when anyone could help me then it would be these professionals down in Nepal.
I can not describe how I am felling now. I am totally overwhelmed about the warm hearded professionalism I found in this place. From day to day I could feel how my health improved on so many levels. The pain was draining out my body and already after 10 days of my 28 days I was nearly pain free. The mobility and flexibility improved so much that I found myself in doing movements on a way I could not do for years. I had a knee surgery 2 years ago and before my stay here I was still missing 60 degrees of bending and I had given up all the hope that I would be able to bend my knee completely again. Now I would estimate that only 5 degrees are still missing. I can walk upstairs, downstairs, uphill, downhill without problems. Its a complete different level of live quality the I had before.
The care these people take for you in this clinic is hardly to describe because I never felt this kind of warm care taking before! I'm so thankful to all my doctors and therapists in the Nagarjuna Health Home.

I would highly recommend AHH. From the first communication to receiving a copy of the notes from the practitioner at the end, my experience was pleasant. The facility was easy to find, (via Google Maps), clean, and professional. I went with my partner and we were kindly greeted, handed a pair of sandals to wear (because no shoes inside), and offered tea while we waited for our appointments. The intake form was brief and straightforward and referenced throughout the consultation. The consultation B was thorough, and Dr. Sabina was attentive, friendly, non-judgmental, caring, professional, and open to questions. I had a previously studied Ayurveda, but with my basic knowledge, she helped me get a better understanding of the ayurvedic principles and how they relate to me and my daily life. She gave specific advice for lifestyle changes, as well as herbal supplement recommendations. We did not make use of any of the other offerings, but we will likely be back for another check up and to check out the other options :).

I must admit that, being a medical doctor, i was somewhat sceptical about spending some time in a wholistic healing centre, but obviously open minded enough to try to do it. The experience was extraordinary, from the moment I started inquiring about the centre and treatments, through organising my visit (I've had several last minute changes in my plans, but nothing was too complicated for the team to sort it out), welcome at the centre and professional medical examination, and outstanding treatments and guidance provided by doctors and support team. The procedure is very individual, and therefore varies, but it is planned and executed to cater to your personal needs and preferences, and the medical team will adjust it if you have any concerns. My only problem, and this is more of an issue to think about in the future than to complain about, is that upon my request and due to time constraint, I did have quite an intensive treatment plan, and there were moments where I would have liked to rest a bit before starting new treatment. This was entirely my fault, but good learning for the future, as one needs time for the experience to settle down and sediment, and one should not rush through the centre, rather give yourself enough time to benefit from the treatment and care offered. I will be back as soon as I can, and will make sure to spend more time in the centre next time.

I enjoyed my massage with Huma. She was a skilled masseuse! Our ninety minutes together was a perfect length of time to get a total massage! It was a great start for a Himalayan trek that was starting shortly!
I would recommend her services!

I chose the 28 day detox of PanchaKarma in Pokhara.

I stayed in the Home which is recommended by them, but to me it was essential in order to absorb and appreciate what is actually happening to the body.
The accommodation and food is perfect for the treatments prescribed (125 therapy sessions in 28 days).
No TV, internet, telephone, texting, facebook, instagram, iPads is suggested in order to be able to hear and listen to what the body's messages are. Perfect peace and tranquility. A real retreat.

If you really want to experience the true therapy with excellent Doctors and Therapists look no further.
I cannot recommend this centre enough. I will also be returning.
The high standard of excellent care is orchestrated throughout the programme.

I have become vegetarian, lost 7.5kg, and controlled my high cholesterol to a safe level (after struggling to do this in the UK for 2 years) all within a month.
More importantly I have no inclination to return to my previous lifestyle and eating habits.

Thank you Dr. Rumee and Staff!!!

I went to Pohkara one here. I start with 7:00 am Yoga class and had breakfast, then choose Ayurveda treatment of my whole body and finishing with shirodhara. You can choose the treatment from three menu and I took the treatment which was recommended by the staff. Whole the treatment with really satisfied one. One negative thing is, it took a long time to pay with the credit card. (The machine didn't work for a long time.)

I come regularly when in Nepal for an ayurvedic check up.
Ayurveda was taught originally by Dhanvantari. AHH certainly live up to the ancient medical practise brought by the Avatar of Vishnu.
Rumen does a wonderfull consultation and gives great advise on all aspects of your health.
In my mind all people should avail themselves of ayurveda along with regular check ups by A conventional MD.
Thanks AHH.
