Professional & Experienced Budget Friendly Tour Operator - Mr Mani & Team

When me + my friend from Bangalore wanted to trek ABC (via Poon Hill), we explored a lot of operators in Nepal (Himalaya Hub, Trek Himalayas etc) before zeroing down on Mr Mani from The Great Adventure Treks & Expedition.

Mr Mani gave us the best recommendations, keeping in mind our safety & health (which IMHO is of utmost importance) and befitting our budget limitations. Starting from the day we landed, he and his team (guide Mr Sandeep) ensured that we had a Memorable Experience in the Himalayas, probably one of my best treks in my lifetime so far :)

I am already planning my next family trip to Nepal with Mr Mani and I would strongly recommend his services to everyone who is planning a Nepal visit in the near future.

Unforgettable moments with The Great Adventure Treks & Expedition

In Kathmandu we stayed at the Everest Nepal Hotel. At The Great Adventure Treks & Expedition office, we bought a private day trip to the sunrise to Nagarkot and on the way back to visit the city of Bhaktapur. The trip was great. In Nagarkot the views were beautiful. We found a cloudless sky and that meant a beautiful panorama of the Himalayas. Then transfer to Bhatkpur, breakfast in the main square and sightseeing. The guide was very knowledgeable. Time passed imperceptibly and we returned to the hotel. The trip provided an unforgettable experience. The office and hotel service is fully professional. Mr. Mani, thank you very much for the wonderful moments.

Chitwan - Poon Hill Tour

We first met with Mr Mani (the manager of The Great Adventure Treks & Expedition) with the intent to book a trekking in the Annapurna region.
After some considerate talk we ended up booking with him other of our plans, making it a package deal: Chitwan National Park (accomodation, food, activities), Poon Hill trek (guide, porter, accomodations, food), and one day in Katmandu, including all the transportation between locations (tourist buses and taxis). Mr Mani was very helpful and made us feel very comfortable during our trip, reflecting his long years of experience.
The highlight for us was the four days trek to poon hill. We had an amazing guide (Sandeep) who was always very reliable. His experience of the Annapurna region allowed to smoothly navigate the perfect itinerary and also helped us understand a bit more of Nepal’s culture and traditions.
Couldn't recommend them more! It was a pleasant experience with some of the kindest people.

One of the best trekking experiences

We did a 10 day hiking trip with The Great Adventure Treks, it was one of the best hiking trips iv done so far.

It was our first time in Nepal and Mani the owner made our trip a memorable and unforgettable one. He was very helpful when we asked about the trip before coming to Nepal and assisted us in any request we had once we got to Nepal even if it wasn't included in our itinerary, he went above and beyond He made us feel welcome and took very good care of us.

The staff on the trip were fantastic as well. Raj our guide did a fantastic job guiding us and explained everything well and prepared us for our hikes by giving us briefs beforehand. Ghanesh our porter was very nice and also assisted us in anything we needed and made our journey very enjoyable. It was a pleasure to meet them and get to know them.

I will definitely be doing my Everest basecamp with them in the future, as they took really good care of us and made us feel feel welcome and safe through out our trip.

A very reliable company

I booked a trip with this company to the Everest Base Camp that I had to cancel due to personal reasons. I didn’t have the chance to actually travel with them.
Mani, the manager/owner of the company was EXTRAORDINARY nice, professional, responsible and prompt throughout air interaction that lasted about 2 months.
They refunded my deposit very promptly.
In my opinion this company seems to be very reliable and trustworthy.

Manaslu Circuit

We booked a 12-day itinerary, which we customized with Mr. Mani to fit our needs. He was really helpful and provided us with all the information and equipment we still needed (sleeping bag, crampons, etc.).
Our guide, Santosh, is a really great guy, and we had so much fun with him. During the trek, I became sick and had to rest for two days. My friend wanted to proceed onwards for some side trips, and Santosh gave me his spare SIM card so we could keep in contact. I eventually caught up, and Santosh was very caring and conscious of our needs and safety.
After our guided tour, we wanted to proceed on our own to Annapurna, and Santosh provided us with all the information we needed and even arranged further transport for us. We could also keep the equipment we borrowed, and Santosh let me keep his SIM card as well. He was very knowledgeable about all the questions we had on the trek, whether they were about the landscape or Nepalese culture.
We are very thankful for the experience and the great time with our guide and can definitely recommend The Great Adventure Treks to anyone. You will be in good hands!

Truly a Great adventure!

With great adventure treks and expedition, it was hassle free and very smooth from the planning, to the trek itself.

Our guide, Sudam, was knowledgeable and very friendly throughout the hike, and had many contacts along the way, showing that he has the necessary experience and was the right man for the job. With him, it felt very safe as he knew the right routes to take and was very approachable, even helping to serve our meals whenever possible. It has been a joy having him as our guide!!

Our porter, Ganesh, was always joyful and really impressed us with his jokes and catchy phrases, helping make the trek more enjoyable. When one of us fell sick, Ganesh also helped with taking care and making sure he felt comfortable.

Overall, a very enjoyable experience with The great adventure treks and expedition. Will definitely recommend this experience and this company to others!

Excellent trekking experience

If you want to discover one of Nepal’s hidden gems, I strongly recommend the Nar Phu Trek with The Great Adventure Treks & Expeditions, a Nepalese company that did an excellent job organizing our trip.

The company was highly flexible in adapting to our interests and abilities. The company manager, Mani, has been a pleasure to deal with, always responsive and helpful, starting every communication with “Namaste”, a respectful greeting in Nepalese culture.

Our guide, Prakash, and porter, Ramesh, worked as a cohesive team to make our trek comfortable, fun, and safe. They shared insights on local culture and treated us to masala tea as we sat around the fire warming our bodies after a long day of hiking. Nothing was too much trouble for this dynamic duo— good natured, kind, and gracious.

Located in one of the country’s most remote areas, the Nar Phu trek offers spectacular views in every direction. The trekking was challenging at points but the incredible scenery and the hospitality of the tea houses made it all worth it. If you’re looking for an adventure off the beaten path, then this is the trek and the company for you!

A wonderful 7 day trip to Nepal

We cannot thank Mr. Mani enough. He helped us to plan our trip in such a way that it was not too physically exhausting. He took into account that we had my mom (68 years old) with us and helped us to schedule the trip in such a way that we could cover all the important places in Kathmandu and Pokhara while making sure that my mom gets enough rest. I would like to specially mention Mr.Ramesh ,our driver who was a delight. We really enjoyed our trip there. All the best!!!

Best travel agency for your Nepal tours🇳🇵

Among all local agencies, my boyfriend and I decided to arrange our 12-day tour in Nepal with The Great Adventure Treks and Expedition given all the positive reviews we read on the Internet as well as because the email exchange with Mr Mani, the agency’s founder and owner, was smooth, clear and professional in all its parts from the beginning. Now that the trip is over, I can definitely say we couldn’t have made a better choice: Mr Mani and his staff not only organised the tour in the most perfect way possible; they offered even more than agreed, exceeding all kinds of expectations we had and making our trip memorable. Mr Mani chose the best guides for both our Kathmandu sightseeing tour (Rajan, such a knowledgeable and pleasant person) and Upper Mustang tour (Shubham, the perfect trekking guide who’s always there to support you), as well as a trusted driver for the Mustang region and the best accommodation choices we could have asked for. Mr Mani proved to be a great professional and above all a special, kind-hearted person: after our Mustang tour, he took us out for lunch and he even surprised us with some local gifts. It was a real pleasure getting to know him better and knowing all the great things he is doing for the local communities.
