My son's and I just completed a trip of a lifetime on the Himalayan Glacier Highlights of Nepal tour. Our guide, Dipesh, was fantastic being knowledgeable, enthusiastic about his culture, and extremely accommodating to the needs of our group. Many times, as we wandered through an historical site, listening to his explanations of its history or significance, we remarked at how much we would have missed if we did not have Dipesh as a guide.
Dipesh and our expert driver Deb ensured we got to see the fantastic sites safely and securely
I can fully recommend Himalayan Glacier for their professional and accommodating approach from the initial organisation, the personalised itinerary through to the final farewells.Thank you to everyone at the company, especially our guide and driver!

We just completed ten days exploring cultural and heritage sites from Kathmandu to Pokhara (and back!). It was a wonderful experience seeing Stupas and lakes, caves hidden in the middle of a city, temples, royal palaces and, of course, magnificent views of the Himalayas. Our guide, Dipesh, was the perfect leader for our little expedition - knowledgeable, enthusiastic about his culture, and extremely accommodating to the needs and interests of our group. Leading five Aussie blokes might be a tough job for some, but Dipesh quickly caught on to our humour and we all got along famously. Many times, as we wandered through an historical site, listening to his explanations of its history or significance, we remarked at how much we would have missed if we did not have Dipesh as a guide. Invaluable!
The highlight of the trip was definitely the second last day, when we went to Nagarkot and the weather developed to a crystal clear afternoon. Dipesh and our expert driver Deb, took us to a viewing spot where we got magnificent 180-degree views of the Himalayas, including the tip of Everest!
I can't recommend Himalayan Glacier enough. From the moment the first email for information was sent, to the farewell dinner at the end of the trip, they were helpful and professional. The hotels have been comfortable (and sometimes well above what we expected), the places recommended to eat at were delicious, and the itinerary packed with wonderful experiences. It has been the trip of a lifetime. Thank you to everyone at the company, especially our guide and driver!

For/ before my 50th birthday, I wanted to trek to Everest Base camp. I contacted Himalayan Glacier and was attended to by Sriju Karki, who was professional & informative, arranging a custom 15-day trek with overnight at EBC for our family of 5.
We were met at Kathmandu airpot by Shankar Bhatta, our guide for the duration of our trek. Shankar was fantastic: we clicked and he was always ready with an answer; we spent a lot of time comparing our two countries and exchanging information (Nepal & South Africa). His main concern was to ensure that we reached EBC and therefore he went out of his way to check that we were acclimatising (oxygen & heart RPM taken each evening), well rested & fed and accommodated comfortably. We enjoyed biscuits & nuts for afternoon tea and fresh fruit after dinner (all brought up from Kathmandu) and entertained each other by talking, joking and playing UNO & Ludo.
Having our flight to Lukla cancelled due to bad whether, we opted for a helicopter flight to Surke to avoid cancelling the whole trek (this helicopter flight is something to consider when planning a trek, as most trekkers were stuck at Kathmandu or Ramechhap airport for many days due to bad weather). In Surke, we were joined by Bhakta Rai, our assistant guide. Bhakta lead at a comfortable, acclimatising pace from the start and especially the kids, who were always out in front, bonded well with him. He attended to our every need at the overnight accommodations, making sure our rooms & luggage were in order, taking our food orders & serving them.
Our Sherpa porters Jiban, Charbhadur & Machindra were responsible for our luggage and although seldomly seen, made sure that our belongings were in place when we arrived at our lodgings. When my one son had to leave us due to altitude/ mountain sickness, Jiban guided him and made sure that while he was getting better, he was still entertained with short hikes around Namche Bazaar.
The trek was fantastic and well organised - there was nothing that we needed, as everything was arranged for - the overnight at EBC was amazing! Overall the trek is moderate to difficult, as the altitude does seep one's energy, but the sights & people made this trip unforgettable! Be prepared to take tonnes of photos too!
Thank you again to all involved, especially Shankar and Bhakta, who made this experience one to cherish forever!

From my initial inquiry to being dropped off at the airport at the end of my climb, Himalayan Glacier delivered everything I needed to successfully climb Kilimanjaro. My guide, Amedeus, and his crew were wonderful and very helpful during this 6 day climb. They made sure that I was comfortable and healthy during my journey and gave me the confidence to successfully reach the top. I highly recommend Himalayan Glacier for anyone interested in climbing this iconic mountain.

Trekking with Himalayan Glacier was a pleasant and seamless experience from beginning to end.
My adventure specialist Sriju was excellent. I had very particular parameters for my solo trek; Sriju ensured every aspect was met and at a very reasonable price. She was very knowledgeable about her company and its products and her communications were always clear and precise. She was readily available to answer my many questions (an impressive accomplishment given a 12 1/2 hour time difference). It was a pleasure working with Sriju.
I was met at Kathmandu Airport by my guide Deu Ghale and never had to be concerned about an administrative detail from that moment on through the entire trip. Deu Ghale was incredibly knowledgeable, informative, interested in my well-being yet was also respectful of my privacy and my interests on this solo trip.
Trekking in the Himalayas can obviously be a very dynamic experience due to weather and many other circumstances. My time in the mountains was no different. Both Deu Ghale and Himalayan Glacier were excellent in adapting my itinerary to address a number of unexpected occurrences and they kept my entire trip intact.
My sincere thanks to Deu Ghale, Miss Sriju and Himalayan Glacier.

We enjoyed our trek with Himalayan Glacier.
They took care of every detail in this very memorable trip of ours. Very professional.
Our guide Shankar was the best, very resourceful and made things happen from choice of our food to arranging a birthday at Namche.
I highly recommend Himalayan Glaciers if you are wanting to trek in the Himalayas.
Sagar Pandey the owner of the company is very helpful and listens to all the feed back and makes things happen. He goes an extra mile to make sure you have come to the Himalayas and to achieve the goal you have set yourself at.
If I were to trek again in the Himalayas I would always choose Himalayan Glacier.
They took care of every detail in this very memorable trip of ours. Very professional.

Working with Himalayan Glacier was an exceptional experience! I will absolutely be joining them again for my next trek. I originally was unsure as to which of the trips offered I wanted to take, so I reached out to them with some questions. They went above and beyond and actually made me a custom itinerary combining all of the stops I was interested in, and gave me a discount on it. Fantastic experience with their office, and communication was excellent.
The trek itself was an unforgettable experience. I ended up doing Everest Base Camp, Gokyo lakes, and a Lobuche Peak climb. Nurbu Sherpa was an excellent guide and adapted to my pace and requests perfectly. We ended up doing a sunset trek to Kala Patthar which was a highlight with beautiful golden hour light over the Everest Range and Khumbu valley. The Lobuche climb was incredible as well. They always use 2 Sherpas for climbs to ensure safety, which was very nice. I’m a more experienced mountaineer, so they adapted to my skills very quickly, allowing me some more independence to set my ascender and rappels, but still always double checking and assuring my safety.
Overall, I cannot recommend this company enough. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly professional and helpful, and Nurbu Sherpa and the others I met throughout were all amazing. I will be coming back at some point and I’m very much looking forward to trekking with them again.

We enjoyed the 10-day Highlights of Nepal driving tour with our helpful and accommodating guide Sudarshan and driver Ram. We visited UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, saw a rhino up close and personal in Chitwan National Park, were rowed around a beautiful lake in Pokhara, saw sunrise over the Himalayas from Sarangkot and Nagarkot, and visted the historic cities of Patan and Bhaktapur. From my first emails with Himalayan Glacier, the staff was kind and gracious. The hotels ranged from very comfortable to luxurious. All were in super locations. We finished the tour with breakfast with the company's founder and president. He said he tries to talk with departing clients to learn from their experiences. No wonder Himalayan Glacier has been successfully serving travelers since 1992!

We had an amazing experience with HImalayan Glacier on our EBC trek. All my questions and concerns were answered promptly during the booking process. Sriju Karki went above and beyond to explain the whole itinerary, lodging arrangements and all other questions regarding the trip. (Great job Sriju).
Sagar the owner of the company, actually attended the pre climb briefing and explained a lot of details, through his personal experience and what he had learned from previous clients. So thank you Sagar for taking your job/business personally, that is what makes you so successful and special.
Once our trip started, Shankar Bhatta, our Head Guide was there for us 24/7, if we needed anything, he took care of the entire trip very efficiently. Him being in this job for over 10yrs, was definitely a big advantage for us. He has great knowledge of the mountains and how to deal with AMS. He personally kept an eye on each and everyone of us, and monitored our physical and mental well being. (Great job Shankar bhai, wouldn't have been able to do it without you).
I also want to give a big applause to our assistant guides Bir, Jeevan and Bhakta. These guys were amazing, the service they provided us, before and after the hikes each day, was praiseworthy.
Last but not least a big thank you to all our porters, who carried our extra luggage and had it in our rooms even before we got their each day.
Sagar, Shankar & Sriju, you have made Himalayan Glacier company, something that I can definitely recommend to everyone. Great job guys.

I just completed the Mount kilimanjaro climb organized by Himalayan Glacier. I was supported by a fantastic guide Fromance. He ensured my safety and took me on several additional walks at the various huts where we stayed. We had fun and very interesting adventures. The rest of the team included a fantastic chef, Yona, who created spectacular dishes including a celebratory cake for us after finishing the climb. I would highly recommend anyone considering this climb to go with Himalayan Glacier
