I book this company for my solo trip to Ghorepani Poonhill trek. This is my first ever trekking experience in the mountain regions. The mountain view from Poonhill view point was simply breathtaking. Big thank to Mr. Ratna, my guide who was very helpful in many ways. Thank you.

From the first day we had contact with Nava Raj Dahal (owner of Nepal Environmental Treks & Expeditions), we were truly impressed with how he accommodated us and arranged everything. Even after the earthquakes he was so helpful and kind to change our whole itinerary and nothing was ever too much trouble. Then at the end when it was just us 2 South African ladies, of an initial group of 6, who continued with our visit to Nepal, Nava ensured us that he will give us a guide and porter that will look after us. Our expectation was blown away, as Dinesh, our guide and Gopal, our porter, treated us as queens and our happiness was the most important thing to them. They made a life-long impression on us and we treasure the time we spend together on the trek. The trek it self was absolutely beautiful and every day was just so wonderful. To see and experience Nepal on a trek like this, is the most amazing thing one can do for yourself and I can with all honesty recommend all who will ever read this, DO IT!! Contact Nava today! Visit Nepal soon! It is safe, beautiful and life changing!
In addition to this (all arranged by Nava):
Our One Day Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu, with our guide Suraj Amgain and driver Kumar, was also a great experience and we enjoyed Suraj very much, as he is so friendly, caring and very knowledgeable.
Pokhara was also a great experience and a beautiful place to relax after 10days of trekking.
Chitwan National Park (Hotel Parkland) we were welcomed very friendly and as all activities and meals were included, it was also a treat.
My words are too limited to express what wonderful experience this was for me and I can just hope that somebody will read this and be inspired to also visit Nepal and also have an Amazing time in Nepal.
Greetings from South Africa
Ronel

We are from Singapore and had booked a 9-days trek ABC&Poon Hill of of which Nava had been liaising and very accommodating with our trek plan. Our guide is Hari Krishna +porter BJay and we were so GLAD to have them especially so after the quake happened when we were just half-way through in our 9-days trek! You can see the real, unmasked service level when disaster happened.
Both Hari and BJay villages were badly affected and while they were worried and trying to contact their families amid the bad network, Hari especially did not abandoned us and rush back to his family after hearing his house was badly damaged - however this did happened to another young couple whose guide informed that he need to left them halfway in their trek in order to get back to his family. We cannot blame anyone especially the guides if they choose to do this in the face of a major disaster and thus, we were so appreciative towards Hari who accompany us throughout the whole trek. This is what I call a true reflection of Professionalism in Hari's work as a guide with 30 days of experience. We did cut our stay in Pokhara after our trek so that they can went back to their families much earlier. May Nepal and her beautiful people be able to recover shortly after the quake and the aftermaths sooner.

Wasted money with Mr Mahesh. Who booked us two bus tickets and three nights in Pokhara. We ended up with OK bus but he claimed it was the best one, sent us to a hotel with terrible service. Regret that trusted his words.
He is not a man of his words.

The reviews for the company seemed positive, so we decided to book a short safari trip through them. My friend and I paid for a 3 day 2 night safari package in Chitwan through Nepal Environmental Treks & Expeditions. After selecting and paying for a specific package, Hari told us the booking fell through. After a lot of phone calls and much time, we were eventually booked into a lower rated hotel and refunded a small amount. We were told that all the activities would be the same, but it felt like a bait and switch.
Hari was very helpful in terms of dropping us off at the bus depot to take the bus to Sauraha/Chitwan. His advice about the return bus drop off in Kathmandu being a 5 minute walk from our hotel was not accurate. Our drop off location was different and it was a 45 minute walk with a heavy backpack! So if they offer to pick you up on your return to Kathmandu to take you to your hotel, I would accept the offer.
In Sauraha, when we arrived at the hotel we found that the hotel had over booked as well and we were transferred to much more basic facilities with mould on the walls and in the bathroom for our first night. The safari package was also more limited and for many of the jungle activities we were lumped together with a large, chatty tour group, so we did not see much wildlife in the jungle. Disappointing if you want to see animals.
It looks like the company serves more as a middle man for these safari treks. Based on my experiences, I would not recommend booking through this company. The positive reviews for the company largely focus on the treks which I assume is their forte.

We just returned back from Nepal and had an excellent time. Nepal Environmental Treks too care of everything for us- they picked us up from the airport, arranged our flights, hotel, accommodation, and meals. Our guide Dinesh was fantastic- he had eyes like a hawk and was constantly pointing out wild rams and birds, while at the same time dazzling us with facts and figures. Both our guide and Nepal Environmental Trek went above and beyond- including taking us shopping around Kathmamdu and helping us get cash when the ATM didn't work. I highly recommend Nepal Environmental Trek.

I just finished the Royal/Skyline trek set up by this agency. Everything went according to plan and there were no problems with the agency - Nava is a friendly, helpful man (the owner), and this agency has been around more than 20 years, so it's not a fly-by-night business. And the guide, Tek Niarula, was fantastic. He was always helpful. Informative but not intrusive. Genuine at all times, going the extra distance to make it a good experience. And has a great sense of humor. A real pleasure trekking with this man.
However, I do also need to say that I would not recommend this particular trek. There is a new road going around almost the entire trek course, so one didn't really get that trekking feeling. It's a new road, just a couple months old, many parts of it, so it wasn't Nava's or Tek's fault about that. Just passing on information.

I had the best guide, Hari, and the best porter, Umesh. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail. Because of a mild heart problem, I was unsure if I could make the trek successfully. Hari's encouragement was exactly what I needed. I had the best tea houses to stay at and the best views throughout the whole trip. Thank you Nepal Environmental Treks for making a dream come true.

The experience was super and once in a lifetime. The group was made up of 10 men and 1 woman (me). 8 of us have summited Mount Kilimanjaro in 2013 together so we have been planning this trip for over a year. We were in regular contact with Nava and he was super helpful in keeping us updated especially since the earthquake back in April. Of course we had concerns to continue with the planned trek for October 2015 but since Nava kept us informed of the situation in Nepal we felt it was safe to continue with the planned trip. The age of the group ranges from 32 to 65! All 11 of us made it to EBC and 6 of us made it to Kala Patthar. Key is to go slow to give your body the best chance to acclimatize. Of course all of us are avid hikers and have been staying fit to prepare. We had a great time taking in the Himalayas but we were getting tired of the same food. We shortened our trek from Lukla to EBC and Kalapatthar and back to Lukla to 11 days. We were originally scheduled for a 14 day hike but we requested our guide to help make changes to our flight back to Kathmandu so we can come down sooner. Hari and the porters were able to make the adjustments to shorten our trek and we of course provided extra tips for the effort.
One side note, most of us had delays to our flight into Kathmandu from USA. Nava was able to accommodate all of us to start the trek together. He rebooked the flights to Lukla for all 11 of us and helped track down what happened to our lost luggage. :)

We have had the privilege to do a trek, booked through Nepal Environmental Trek. Nava arranged everything for us. Our Guide was Dinesh Dhakal and our carrier was Goba. These people are the best guid and Carrier ever. I have met a lot of different guids and carriers from different companies, but our guid and carrier from Nepal Environmental Treks, are by far the best. Dinesh, our guide, are currently busy with his master degree in Economics. He has provide us with a whole lot of informative information on the trek. He looked very well after us and Goba, our carrier was always ready with a joke.
I would like to recommend Nepal Environmental Trek and I would recommend Dinsh and Gobal.
