This is our second time booking with the Trekking Team Group for the holiday season. The communication with Shreehari was very efficient, professional and always considerate and flexible with our itinerary. We trekked Langtang, Kyanjing Ri and Gosainkunda with 10 days of walking (plus, 2 days of jeep rides at the start and end). The views and diverse landscapes were incredible - through forests, along the blue river, suspension bridges, waterfalls, rocky paths, snowy mountain peaks to Lord Shiva's holy lake. It was cold, and snowy/icey at times in December, but this only added to the adventure; the clear skies and mountain views meant each step was worth it. During the day, the sun was out and we had the perfect temperature for trekking up/down hill. Above all, our guide Hari was exceptional. Always kind, patient, respectful and professional. He was there to support and encourage us when the trek was challenging or if we were getting tired, organised each day so we were able to focus on enjoying the trek and also gave space if needed. I would not hesitate to recommend a trek with Hari. A big shout out goes to our porters, Padam and Umesh, both cheery, helpful and kind gentleman who added to our camaraderie on the trip! Thank you everyone was an amazing trek, once again.

Thank you for reviewing us about your Langtang/Gosainkunda trek. We appreciate your time and efforts giving us a feedback. Yes, langtang is a great trek and we are encouraging our clients to visit this area specially after the earthquake where local needs the tourism comeback. Once again thank you and see you for another adventure! Namaste !

What an amazing trek in the mountains with Trekking Team Group! we are a family of 5 and Shreehari, Ram, Dhawa and Chandra took such wonderful care of us. we have 3 youngish children (ages 13, 11 and 11) and they brought us such a memorable family experience that had a safety focus which we appreciated. Ram was a patient and informative guide, showing us the wonders of the trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp and pointing us nuances and subtleties along the way that we would never have noticed without an experienced and caring guide. Dhawa and Chandra lugged our families baggage and shared their experience and family stories, we were so grateful for their presence and hard work. Shree organized and managed the challenges of domestic flights despite complicated weather and COVID obstacles. Even after return to Kathmandu and end of the trek he continued to support us with charter flight information and liaison with travel companies to smooth our departure from Nepal. We'd recommend the services of Trekking Team Group to anyone coming to the area and hope to return someday to hike some more with them!

My Dad and I went to Everest Base Camp with the Trekking Team Group guide Birman Tamang and the porter Dhaula. It was a fantastic experience for us.

Bir was a wonderful guide who was on top of every little detail of our trek. He was extremely knowledgeable about the region and Nepal. He was also took care of very fine details regarding our trek, such as finding and purifying suitable water, helping us buy equipment we were lacking such as trekking poles and thermoses, which paths and routes would suit our particular group, advising us about food, gave us detailed briefings each night in the guest houses, and medical issues. He also stressed being positive, travelling at our own pace with small steps and breaks up hills, and being sensible and safe.

He also managed to score a helicopter ride from Kathmandu to Lukla, unexpectedly.

Bir was also a lovely person to talk to and be with separately from trek issues and is very respectful with everyone. He is from a mountain community himself and is also an excellent photographer, putting together great movie packages of his treks. He should be a movie star himself with his strong bearing and good looks 😉

Bir was so on top of our medical situation (measuring our oxygen levels etc) that we did not suffer from altitude sickness and did not need our Diamox pills at all. His alternatives were lots of water, garlic, and acclimatisation days.

Dhaula was also a very kind porter who stayed with us every day and gave us a lot of help besides being a porter. We could not have asked for better company.

Trekking Team Group was impressive in that they try to trek in a moral way. Porters are not given more than 25 kg to carry. We were also told that choosing locally-produced food – potatoes, soups, rice and noodles – would both help our health (meat is carried up the mountain and is inadvisable) and also help local communities.

This company was very convenient for us in that we barely had any out of pocket expenses up on the trail. Guest houses and food are paid for in advance (excluding drinks).

Trekking Team Group also organised a tour of Kathmandu, and after the trek a relaxing two-day retreat to a mountain retreat called Balthali.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. Nepal is a beautiful, different, atmospheric place. Thank you Bir, Dhaula and Trekking Team Group.

Hi, I had my experience with Trekking Team Group and it was really positive. We were a group of three and wrote them in the end of July for a quick planning of a trip to Upper Mustang mid August. The usual tour is scheduled to 12 days but we only had 8 days, so we came up with the specific request to have a mixed trekking-jeep tour in order to save time and fit it to our need. They were really quick to collect our request and set up an 8 days tour, leaving for Pokhara. The price they proposed was really competitive too.
Our guide for those days was Bir and we had great time with him. He is very experienced and careful to our needs during the day, the treks, meals and places we slept at. He is also very passionate about letting us know the culture of the region and of Nepal in general. Always ready to answer to the hundreds of questions I was making him!
Also, I think he was flexible to change the program of the trip according to our request: we wanted to trek "as much as possible" (still according to our physical conditions!) and after knowing each other, and having seen our ability and commitment to trek, Bir managed to arrange very beautiful trekking stages that suited out level.

In summary, I really recommend to pick Trekking Team Group (and Bir!) for a trek in Nepal. I (we) will try to come back as well for some Himalaya experience soon!

I've gone on two treks now with the Trekking Team Group (Upper Mustang and now Annapurna Circuit) and they've both been absolutely incredible! Everything from clear/responsive communication while planning, fair rates, accommodating / organized preparations to the best trekking guides I've had - I highly recommend this company! In particular though, our guide Bijay truly went above and beyond our expectations both in his professionalism & support as a guide but also as an all around friend. His English is fluent, quick with a joke and beat us all at chess, and he's trained & works off-season as a pharmacist, adding a welcome level of healthcare proficiency. We saw the latter play out when he helped a guide from a different group with altitude sickness and recommend medicine for our sick friend even after we parted ways after the trek. He also gave us a detailed set of trekking gear recommendations that all turned out to be spot on when we got caught in heavy unexpected snowfall, while helping us secure quality gear at the best prices we found after initial independent searches. All in all, Bijay was a tremendous guide who made our Annapurna trek the highlight of our trip to Nepal while ensuring for a smooth experience even through the unexpected! Many thanks to the Trekking Team for the coordination!

I recently embarked on a trip to the Khumbu region which was organized by Trekking Team Group. My primary points of contact were Shree, and Birman was our guide. These two gentlemen have proven once again, that their knowledge, support, and logistical coordination is unparalleled. The two porters, Dola and Kibiriman are absolute superstars and were a pleasure to spend a couple of weeks with as well.

I traveled with my father and two young sons, and had a very set plan for our hike to EBC & return. Every requirement was met, and on many occasions, exceeded our expectations. Birman wasn't just a guide, he was an educator to my young sons, and provided them endless knowledge of the local culture, topography, history, and philosophical lessons.

We had to make an adjustment to our itinerary on the move due to bad weather - this meant transport and accommodation changes. Shree made this happen at the click of his fingers, with very efficient coordination on the ground taken care of by Birman. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the level of service and care provided by TTG.

This is my second Nepal trip organized through TTG, and I already have future adventures which, no surprise, I will engage Shree, Birman, Dole & Kibiriman to assist with.

Our group hiked part of the Annapurna Circuit during mid April. What an amazing experience. The beauty of the scenery was more than incredible and breathtaking. In addition, I was especially grateful for our guide, Bijay. His kindness, clarity, humor, expertise, and soft spoken leadership and friendship really was a highlight to our trip, something invaluable especially as we navigated unseasonably high snowfall. He went above and beyond his role as our guide, illustrating his kindness in many different ways, including by checking in on me (I had become sick at the end of our trip) well after the trip after ended. I highly recommend this trek and recommend seeking out Bijay as a guide for any of the treks in the area.

We had a very interesting and good experience with TTG. They followed our wish to make a flexible trip with possibilities to take day hikes, side trips and so on.
We visited the world second highest bungyjump place (did not try it though but fun to look at), Kalopeni (with view of 2 Mountain over 8000m!), beautiful and quiet Titi lake, Marpha (charming Apple Town) Muktinath (cold but very intens religious atmosphere at the temple), Jomsom (views from the hotelroom of the small planes land and arrive at the airport strip) and hot springs and a waterfall in Tatopeni.
First we planned on going with just a jeep and a driver. But we decided to take a guide with us. And this was a really good idea! The guide Bijay Pathak, was very good to find places we liked, both when it came to accomodation, day hikes, food we should try and so on. He was ready to change the itinary if he or we heard of a good place to visit, or when one of us got sick for a day. He even brought carsick medicine for our daughter (he is a pharmacist apart from guide). He was very good with 3 our kids (6, 8, 11 years) and they played a lot of cardgames with him!
We also will like to highlight our driver. The roads in Lower mustang was very bad some places when we were there. And it is very bumpy and narrow. Our driver was very experienced (12 years experience in that area). We felt safe with him. He also had some good ideas and tips for places to go and hotels and restaurants to visit.
All in all our warmest recommendations on going with Team Trekking Group on a family Jeep trip in the lower mustang area.

As a mountain-loving family, we hiked with our two boys (8 and 14 years old) to Annapurna Basecamp, admired Poon Hill, got to know a Nepalese school and learned a lot about the impressive Nepalese culture in the imperial cities of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan.

It was a wonderful time wich filled our hearts and souls with unforgettable memories and deep humility for nepalese people and nature!

Our guide Arjun and the two porters Hori and DK simply were the best! The 8 day trek with them felt like a hike with friends. They were so helpful, funny and caring with our children that tears flowed after saying goodbye.
Thanks to Arjun we learned so much about the country which we never would have, if we had travelled by ourselves.
He was so kind to change the hiking itinerary due to our high- speed children, so we were also able to see Poon Hill in addition to ABC. He knows the best lodges and we were warmly welcomed at all places thanks to his good reputation and kindness.

If you want a perfectly organized trip filled with authentic experiences which leave you deeply impressed, you have to contact Shreehari Thapaliya and his Trekking Team Group. No one can do it better!

I facilitated a university student clinical tour to Nepal that included a multiday trek on the Ghorepani - Poon Hill circuit. This was my third experience running such a tour in Nepal and had different trekking guides for the first two trips, so have prior experience of working with trekking guides on this type of endeavour.

Birman and Sandeep were absolutely phenomenal, and all that you could want in trekking guides. Our group membership ranged broadly in terms of physical preparation and readiness for the trek, with variances too in mental resilience and attitude. Our guides positively managed not only the logistical and practical aspects of the trek but also participants' morale and energy levels, giving uplifting guidance and support to those struggling along the way. As such they were fundamental to an overall successful trek that all members completed under their own steam. An added bonus was the learning journey along the way, with both Birman and Sandeep generously sharing cultural, historical, and other information about Nepal and the Nepali way of life.

I have no hesitation in recommending this company to other travellers, whether trekking solo or part of a larger group. As an experienced hiker myself, I am actively planning to return to Nepal alone to undertake a longer trek, and WILL be engaging this company for guide support when I do so.
