From the moment we arrived at the airport we knew we had made the right decision to go with Eagle Treks. Ramesh met us with a garland of flowers (Deepavali was in full flow) and a warm smile of welcome. Not having done much trekking before, we were a touch anxious about going up to Annapurna Base Camp - it's not every day you go hiking in the Himalayas. But Ramesh patiently set out our itinerary and key safety procedures in case of bad weather. Besides, he told us, our guide, Ganesh, was extremely experienced, knew every stone on the mountain, every turn of the path, and would take good care of us.

This was something of an understatement. The two weeks we spent with Ganesh were something I will never forget. Kind and caring; witty and informative, he was the perfect guide, bringing us closer to the mountains and their people. He knew exactly when to step in to support us - a handy bag of cashew nuts and snickers gave us vital energy when we struggling up to Ghorepani - and when to step back and let us just get on with it. What's more, he offered advice and support along the way to lone travellers and other groups whose guides were not quite so organised. We knew that we could rely on him to help us get the most out of our little expedition.

We also had some cracking porters, who were always good company and eager to help us with our Nepalese. Ramesh had advised us on how much we should give each of them to carry, something which you shouldn't overlook when booking a tour. Our porters were happy, had a reasonable load and were extremely well looked after by the company. This was certainly not a given with other tour groups, as we saw many porters who were roped to several humongous bags and were struggling under the ridiculous loads.

It is possible to do the trek on your own without a guide. Indeed,my wife and I usually shun the tours in favour of thrashing it out on our own. However, Ramesh and Ganesh brought us right to the heart of Nepal, its history, its culture and its people. They were honest, trustworthy and, above all, bloody good human beings. Having travelled for several months through Asia with my wife, this was by far the best experience of our travels. We saw it in the mountains, we saw it in the city - Eagle Treks are simply the best guys out there.

We met a lot of trekkers using different operators during our trip and were really glad we went with Eagle. From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu to our departure, they took great care of us, right from Ramesh, the owner, who met us at the airport, to the porters, who were incredibly helpful and kind.

We did a 10-day trek from Pokhara to Annapurna Base Camp via Ghorepani. Our guide, Ganesh was brilliant - he had great knowledge of the route, superb English and seemingly unrivaled contacts at the different villages on the route, meaning we always stopped at good lodges. He was excellent at giving us information, never in an overbearing way, and was always sensitive to how members or the group were coping with the trekking.

One thing we particularly liked was that Eagle encouraged us to keep the porters' loads down to one, fairly manageable bag each. Almost all other porters on the trek had much larger loads, usually 2-3 of the equivalent bags each. Given you don't need that much stuff for the trek, this was a really positive move by Eagle and set them apart from the others.

I would absolutely recommend Eagle to anyone visiting Nepal - a brilliant experience, a great team and really well-priced!

We trekked with Eagle Treks in September 2014 with Yadab Itani. 10 days in Annapurna, followed by 8 days in Langtang. I cannot speak more highly about our experience! Even before the trek we had constant communication and updates from Yadab. He was so helpful and responsive with the planning and catering to our groups specific needs and quick to respond with any questions we had (which were a lot).

Once getting to Kathmandu everything was smooth sailing and VERY well planned and organized. Yadab is a very experienced guide with 10+ years under his belt and grew up in the countryside of Nepal. He knows his stuff and the trails so well! He was there every step of the way-encouraging us and answering any question we had along the trail. Always with a smile and positive attitude. He is exactly what you want in a trekking guide! Our porters were great too. By the end of the trek he was not just our guide, but our friend.

The trek itself surpassed my expectations! The most beautiful scenery and sights I've ever seen, the tea houses we stayed in and food were great, and having a guide like Yadab was really what enhanced the whole experience and I can't imagine a better company to go through.

We will be back and without hesitation will be using Eagle Treks again! THANK YOU YADAB AND EAGLE TREKS for making our experience one of the most memorable of our life and an experience we'll never forget.

I would like to share my wonderful experience and journey to muktinath.Planning this trip begin almost 6months before we started to embark on this holy trip.I was very careful and sceptical as my prior experiences with other tours wasn't so worth mentioning. For which both my mother and myself would deeply like to thank Ramesh ,Ganesh and nakul for contributing to make it so enjoyable and comfortable for us.
We customised the itinerary by making it a mix of religious ,some treks and local sight seeing.duration of trip was almost 10days starting point from Kathmandu .Since we had visited Kathmandu before we were more familiar this time and knew our way to some of the places. The tricky part was of the unknown and what to expect!!but all our apprehensions were put to rest in the days to come .from our stay at pokhara and our trek from Jomson to kagbeni and the most awaited spiritual destination for us holy muktinath made it all exhilarating!!
We will definately plan more trips to Nepal in the future and we were so relieved that we finally managed to secure a good tours and travel in Nepal !!thank you eagle treks!!!

During the trip of Annapurna 5 days, they provide great service. Actually we feel more like friend.

They always give you a shy smile even they already walk all day long. They also adjust moving speed base on your physical condition and take care food/water/hotel everything, you just need focus on great mountain scene and your breath of course ;)

It will be my choice when I back to Nepal next time.

Yadab from Eagle Treks took care of me from the minute I arrived in Kathmandu. While he was not required to, he met me at the airport and travelled with me to Pokhara where I began my trek to Annapurna Base Camp. His experience as a guide was unparalleled - not only did he know all of the tea house owners (which helped markedly being a lone traveller), but his knowledge of the area was great. In addition to this obvious professionalism, he was one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He provided great insight into the area when required but also provided great conversation throughout. We caught up again several times after the trek and I would be happy to use him again on my next trip. As a guide to how amazing he was, several travellers asked for his details every night so they could use him on their next trip!

I spent 3 weeks with Eagle Treks and Expedition visiting all the best sites: Poonhill, Annapurna Base Camp, Chitwan, and Langtang. It was the most amazing experience and our guide Yadab was absolutely the best. I contacted Eagle Treks based on a friends recommendation and I strongly recommend Eagle Treks for all your trekking needs in Nepal. Nothing went overlooked! From renting sleeping bags, to arranging all transportation, to personally bringing everyone a Snickers bar to the peak of Tserko Ri (5000m). The best Snickers bar of my life!

Eagle treks, and Yadab personal, are by far the best, no need to look anywhere else. Communication was perfect. Impressive local knowledge by Yadab, he always had answers to all our random questions. We all learned a ton, amazing life experience!!

From the first encounter over email, to the final farewell at the airport, we found Eagle Treks - and Yadab Itani in particular - to be highly professional, well organized, very fair and honest and incredibly knowledgable.

While we were planning our trip, Yadab provided options for trekking itineraries, guidance on what to bring, and made the process of arranging our trip easy.

Once we actually met, our experience got even better. Yadab and the porters were amazing - guiding us through Annapurna, going above an beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable, from information on the peaks we were walking in, the nature around us and the culture of Nepal, to the cookies after trekking and the many games of cards! We had the chance to meet many other Trekkers and groups and it was 100% clear that we were with the best guide and best team there.

We left the trek with amazing memories, beautiful photos and an incredible new friend in Yadab. We enjoyed it so much in fact that we booked a second trek to go to Langtang with Yadab. Again, it exceeded expectations.

I can't say enough positive things about Yadab or Eagle Treks. So I will just leave it with a massive THANK YOU for one if the best experiences of my life.

A quick side note: We were a little uncomfortable about using porters, but the fairness and respect Yadab showed to the porters and the amazing team that we had put us at ease (we saw some companies that overloaded their porters in a horrible way - Yadab would never let that happen!)

I recently visited Nepal for 3 weeks with some friends. We had received a recommendation for Eagle Treks and contacted them before we arrived. Eagle Treks were fantastic. We were looked after by Yadab Itani who was brilliant. We did a one week loop in the Annapurna region and a one week loop in the Langtang region. Yadab was extremely knowledgeable about the treks, the country and anything else we wanted to know. Our accommodation every night was ideal and we all loved the food - not one of us got sick! The prices were minimal considering the service we received. Yadab's English was perfect, we even learned a bit of Nepali (mainly the words for "up" and "slow"!). If you're going to Nepal, go with Eagle Treks and ask for Yadab - you won't be disappointed!
