My first trip to Nepal (spending just a week) and a friend who has been on treks with Himalayan Joy Adventure, introduced me to Cholendra Karki. As I was not interested in trekking Cholendra arranged for a tour of Kathmandu/Patan/ Bakhtapur (2 nights out of Kathmandu) and 3 nights in Pokhara. This included a car and driver (Mahesh) and two amazing tour guides - out of Kathmandu (Kumar) and another tour guide for the Pokhara trip (Tika).
With Kathmandu/Patan/Pokhara more on historical/religious/UNESCO sites, guide Kumar proved to be an expert on the history and mythological tales surrounding each site. Truly gifted guide - so full of knowledge and experience.
Two days later, Tika picked me up from my hotel with driver Mahesh at 5:30 am for the some 7 hour drive to Pokhara. Pokhara was more on nature with amazing views of Mt Anapoorna and sister mountains in all their majesty. Tika again proved to be knowledgable and since the sites require some mild hikes, he was also very patient to pace the trip out so as to ensure the customer is not rushed. He is also a very caring and humble person and ever helpful.
Thanks to Cholendra, Kumar, Tika and Driver Mahesh, this was one superbly memorable trip to Nepal. I will certainly return and perhaps even consider some simple treks. Himalayan Joy Adventures will certainly be my choice when entrusting arrangements to be made.

My first trip to Kailash Manasarovar is a dream come true. To see, to experience and absorb the magnificence of Shiva's abode so close and in clear view throughout the Parigrama was indeed a blessing.
Added blessing was going with HJA, Cholendra and his experienced team who had planned and executed this trip to the dot. From the time we landed in Kathmandu, their hospitality was amazing. Clear briefing , choice of accommodation and equipments preparation , passage to Tibet, pooja at Lake Manasorovar, providing adequate and fresh nourishment all the time, all was done meticulously.
Not only the general needs of the whole group but even individual requests were looked into.
During the Parigrama, I was so immersed in the beauty and magic of the surroundings that i ended up being slow and left behind . Nevertheless i felt safe and secure as always either Cholendra or one of his team came to look out for me.
The wonderful HJA team worked day and night to ensure that the yathris got adequate meals, good sleep and was safe at all times.
My utmost gratitude to Cholendra, Tikka, Nara, Lak Pak, Vikram ,Kedar and rest of the HJA team as well as fellow Yatris who helped me in one way or another and also those who kept us spiritually charged in the bus journey. May Shiva's blessings grace you and your families.

Ever since l engaged Himslayan Joy Adventure (HJA) for the 1st time for my Kailash Yatra in 2015, l have continued to engage Cholendra and his team for all my trekking in Nepal (ABC in 2017, EBC in 2019) and Tibet (Kailash Yatra in 2018 and July 2023). HJA led by Cholendra are a dedicated team who ensure everything is meticulously planned and executed. Every trek that l did with HJA was a pleasant and enjoyable trip. Will continue to engage HJA in all my future treksS well. Thank You HJA!

This is my 2nd Kailash Yatra (July 2023), the first embarked in August 2018. Both the Yatras were superbly planned, organized and supported by Himalayan Joy Adventure (HJA).
Cholendra, Tika and the entire HJA Team who accompanied us on the Yatra handled all the activities and completed the minutest (but equally important) tasks efficiently, effectively and with full of compassion. While focusing on the groups general needs, they also went to great lengths to understand individual challenges and strove hard to cater to those needs. They were completely dedicated to the groups goal of completing the parikrama.....not only encouraging and supporting yatris while circumambulating Kailash, but also constantly ensuring every one of us were fed (energized), hydrated and kept physically well throughout. This allowed us yatris to completely focus on our individual spiritual quests in the presence of HIS abode, Kailash.
From my perspective and experience, I consider the HJA team as gods for having provided us with an opportunity to care for nothing but only embark on our individual spiritual process. For that HJA has my utmost gratitude and appreciation. Thank you Cholendra and Team. Namaste 🙏

Engaged Himalayan Joy Adventure for our Gokyo Valley Trek based on the recommendations given by everyone else.
Planned the trip with Cholendra and the trek was guided by Tika with Jon as our porter. The trek is an unforgettable experience and the whole team was very knowledgeable and some of the friendliest people I've met.
Tika was patient and had so many great information to share along the trek. He even spent some time with us in Kathmandu after the trek as time permitted. From the moment you arrive in the airport until you're flying back, their hospitality has been the best.
I definitely recommend Himalayan Joy Adventure to anyone planning on hiking/trekking in Nepal!

I would like to say a big thank you to the organizer Mr. Cholendra and the coordinators Mr. Navaseelan, Mr. Vela and Ms. Mala who gave us the opportunity to participate in this yathra. We feel grateful to be able to experience and enjoy the greatness and holiness of Mount Kailash. At the same time we would like to say a million thanks to Mr. Cholendra and his crew members who are very dedicated, caring and responsible. Without their help and support it was impossible for us to reach our destination. We are indebted to our two Sherpas' Kedarnath and Thilakh who were very helpful and took care of us.
Finally, don't forget to say a big thank you to our comrades-in-arms who are very kind-hearted, tolerant, helpful, motivated and always provide moral support to endure all the ups and downs throughout the 20 days of the Yathra.

This was an unforgettable trip - not just because we were truly blessed with excellent weather throughout our yatra to witness the splendor and magnificence of Kailash; we were also blessed to have a very caring and efficient team of organizers in Himalaya Joy Adventure.
The team of 12 were like family to us, tirelessly taking care of our every needs, including cooking us all 3 meals. Food was always prepared fresh, was tasty and healthy. Though some of us had reduced appetite, the team encouraged us to keep being hydrated and nourished.
Quick to look into our varied needs, they understand that every individual copes differently, and ensured the welfare of each of us.
A very big Thank You and KUDOS to Cholendra, Tika, Nara, Bikram and the rest - the trip would not have been the same without the care, camaraderie and meticulous planning by HJA !

I did a short trek to Ghorepani - Poonhill. It was a last minute decision on my part. I contacted Cholendra and told me about my plans and he made all the arrangements on very short notice. Everything was ready when I arrived. Himalayan Joy always book the best hotels and don’t cut corners. They took very good care of me. Their Guide, Tika is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Overall I enjoyed my trip tremendously. This is my second trip with them. The first was to Everest Base Camp before the pandemic. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Just came back from an amazing and most challenging Three Passes Trek. The trek well organized by Himalaya Joy Adventure with the help of Tika, an excellent guide and our nice porter Kaila. This our third trek with this company which we very recommend.
