We just returned from our holiday in Nepal.We would like to convey our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Outfitter Treks and Expedition.They delivered what they promised to plus we wanted to add a couple of extra itineraries and they did so without any fuss.We enjoyed everyday we were out and about,the new things that we experienced,we love Pokhara and Chitwan,the guides,all of them knew their jobs well.Most of all, they were very professional and knowledgeable. We were pleased with the accommodations,in a central locations,which meant that, we could wander out on our own in the evening after the day outing ,quite easily.The people we met were all so friendly,we love it.We were lucky to be assigned to Rajan, our guide,he and my son got on famously and as a result,my son is going back to do some serious trekkings with friends at a later stage.Rajan looked after us like his own family,that was a good way of putting it. We also think that the drivers that drove us around were excellent,we always felt safe.
Once again ,thank you everyone .Thank you Outfitter,you all deserve a 5 star accolades!!!

Our 13 day trip to Nepal was managed entirely by Outfitter Nepal, including air transfers, day tours and a fantastic five-day trek. Every step of the way the company and its employees showed their professionalism, but more importantly they showed that they really cared about our safety and comfort. When one of our party experienced health problems on the trek, the guide and porters went above and beyond in their help, so despite the difficulty the trip was still a joyful and memorable experience for everyone. I certainly recommend Outfitter Nepal.

We just finished a highly memorable trek with Outfitter Nepal, guided by Sudip, and I cannot recommend both the Company and Sudip enough! They handled everything very professionally, from organizing the trip to making adjustments on the fly as needed. Because of weather, all flights were cancelled in and out of Lukla on both our departure dates, but Sudip and NG (the trip coordinator) were able to find a helicopter for us so we could get out and make our returning flight. On the mountain, we changed our itinerary to add Lobuche Peak (in addition to Island Peak) and they were able to accommodate that at the last minute no problem. Would highly recommend Outfitter Nepal for any trekking in the Himalayas you are planning.

We had contacted a few outfits in Nepal to organize a trek to both Everest Base Camp and Island Peak. Outfitter Nepal was the most responsive and detailed and offered a very competitive price, and we liked the fact it's locally run. The trek itself was unforgettable - everything went very smoothly. Our guide (Sudip) was very attentive and just a blast to hang out with. We also adjusted our itinerary on the fly and Outfitter Nepal was great about accommodating this and making arrangements on our behalf.

Having trekked extensively using the services of other UK/European based organisers, I have to say that OutfitterNepal easily match or surpass them. A very professional, unfussy company, who were easy to deal with from initial contact to saying goodbye at ktm airport.

I booked an 18 days Everest High Pass (EHP) trek for 7th April 2020 which was confirmed by Outfitter Nepal. Unfortunately, my desire for a high altitude trekking was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and thinking all was lost.
Fast forward, on 4 April 2022, Outfitter Nepal informed me of the opening of the Nepal international border without any travel restrictions.
The good news was that my booking for the EHP was still open and I had to provide them with a new date to operate.
Better news was that they honoured the original price of Dec 2019; we did not enter into any argument for price revision.
I was grateful to their business conduct on this matter.
Fast forward, on 4 April 2022, Outfitter Nepal informed me of the opening of the Nepal international border without any travel restrictions.
The good news was that my booking for the EHP was still open and I had to provide them with a new date to operate.
Better news was that they honoured the original price of Dec 2019; we did not enter into any argument for price revision.

Many many thanks to Outfitters Nepal for organizing an trip I will never forget! Hiking the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in Nepal was a very special experience I will hold dearly in my heart. The organization of our hiking adventure by the office in Kathmandu was very good. We received clear instructions before the trip and also when we arrived in Nepal. It was also easy to lend some needed equipment. On the trek itself we were supported by our amazing guide Ravi who has more than 27 years of experience in the mountains of Nepal and our porter Bim without whom we would not have made it and who always greeted us with a big welcoming smile. The landscape on the Poon Hill trek was incredibly diverse reaching from jungle like areas towards rhododendron forests, mountains sceneries and rice terraces. The highlight was of course the early morning mountain view from the top of Poon Hill. We were extremely lucky to see one of the highest mountains in Nepal including: Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri and Hiunchuli. Our guide Ravi was so supportive and competent during the entire trip providing many interesting information about the different landscapes we see, the mountains and Nepalese culture and history. He made sure we have the best time, organized everything the best way possible and adjusted everything (e.g hiking speed) to our needs. He made sure we do not miss a thing and I honestly felt very well looked after during the entire trip. The whole team of Outfitters Nepal was extremely responsive and I can absolutely recommend to book a tour with them! Thank you so much for this incredible adventure!

My friend and I went on the Gokyo and Renjo La pass trek and it was wonderful! We had such a good time, saw the most amazing views and majestic mountains and lakes along quaint Sherpa villages: Our guide was Indra, who we LOVED, and highly recommend you request him for your treks. He took care of us, very attentive, laughed at our stupid jokes, and really made sure we had everything we needed. He made our trek possible and huge thank you to him. Outfitters Nepal is a great company to go with if you are considering a trek. Raj the owner is very communicative, professional and knowledgeable. Side note, he started as a porter and worked his way up as a business owner of this trekking company so he knows his treks! I will use this company in my future Nepal treks.

This was an incredible trip made possible by a very professional and efficient company. Outfitters took great care of us all to make sure we had a safe yet rich experience of Nepal and the Himalayas. The mountain guides, Sanjaya and Kamal, were outstanding, friendly, well informed and experienced. Accommodation was affordable with good basic services. Food was plentiful. We had an excellent tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites with the superb Bimrod and his in depth knowledge. Raj was flexible in making changes to the itinerary to meet everyone's needs. I would recommend this company to anyone wishing to trek in the Himalayas and would definitely use them again for a future visit.

Fantastic tour, fantastic guide, fantastic driver! My sister and I did a 10-day tour with Outfitter Nepal and everything went like clockwork! Well-organised, great hotels and our every need catered for. Our guide, Birodh, was knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and was a lot of fun! Traffic in Nepal was crazy as it was a major festival but we felt totally safe with our excellent driver Raj. The company manager (also Raj) gave us a comprehensive briefing on arrival and hosted a complimentary dinner on completion of our tour, and made sure our airport transfer was all organised despite us staying on longer. Couldn’t recommend this company highly enough!

Hard to know which trek to chose
I dont find it clear as to the difference
in itinerary
and distances
as well as maximum elevation
between the 12 day Everest base camp trek and the budget 14 Day Evert base trek
Please advise
Also re the Annapurna Sanctuary - how does that compare ?

Hi there, I haven’t done Everest Base Camp, but spoke to a lot of people who did. Annapurna is much more of a scenic trek, you are below the snow line for most of the trek, it is a lower altitude. If you have any concerns about making the altitude, then Annapurna is probably a better option. Everest is pretty much mainly about ‘doing Everest Base Camp’!! So it really depends on why you’re doing it, they are both incredible treks and amazing achievements!

I’ve booked for October - can you advise on what luggage to bring - a large rucksack with a small day ruck or a holdall bag and a medium rucksack for the trek?
Also where on the trek do you lose wifi and does it cost much to use this and/of power to charge cameras etc?

Im not apart of the company. But if EBC or ABC;
- you carry a light backback (for drink bottle, jacket, camera, sanitary wipes etc).
- Rest will be carried by a porter. Depending on your group size, depends on the amount of porters. Keep this in mind, that you should reduce the baggage amount - Aim for less 10kg. Meaning, leaving your big suitcase at your hotel in Kathmandu, or pokhara.
WIFI, charging of phones/camera comes at a cost. I didn't find any free charging on ABC, only free charging was at Namche on EBC Trek. Keep in mind you are not going to have WIFI for most of trip, excluding main cities and teahouses.

I'm a 20 year old very adventurous solo traveler looking at doing a trek in Nepal. Outfitters seem to have great reviews, but I suppose I want to know if there are likely to be other young likeminded people or if it's geared a bit older? In fhe group of 16 I travelled with in Nov/Dec 2014 there was a variety of ages representrd but the majority were younger people in their 20s. Our ages ranged from 19 - 50 with an average of about 25. You'll have a ball :-)

Hi Wilda We've just booked onto this tour for February and would just like to put our minds at rest over a couple of things ... mainly the steps! What sort of age and ability range were the people on your trip and were people able to go at their own pace? Were there any altitude problems in your group? (appreciate 3000m isn't too high - but high enough!) What advice would you give a 50 something and a 60 something doing the trip? Thanks.

My main tip would be to definitely go at your own pace. Do not exert yourself at all, let your breathing catch up before pressing on. Drink plenty of fluids (I tried to make sure I drank I think at least 4 litres a day but other people were different). I went at my own pace and didn't bother with going quick and ended up with no symptoms. I was also taking diamox.

Hi. We live in South Africa, your trip really appeals to my wife & I. Something very different however is age an issue.
We are vibey & quite fit middle '60's people,,,,,,what level of fitness is required. We walk quite a lot (obviously not up mountains.... is it do-able would u say? Thx Paul & Gaynor Hocking (experience seekers)

We, too, booked on to the Nepal View trip for March and are now wondering if we'll make it?! As above we do quite a lot of walking, some hills but not mountains and not at altitude. Can you tell us what sort of pace the Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani( 2675m)- 6 Hours is done at ... and can you take a break if needed?! We're really looking forward to the variety on this trip but would like to put our minds at rest that you're able to accommodate all abilities!
