We had amazing first time experience trekking to ponhill.For me it's really fun because we meet many friendly local people who is friendly around the track.At the Ponhill the view is nice and very beautiful,good to enjoy with a cup of hot milk.The guide also knowledgeable and friendly,his english is understandable for me who still learn english.
New year eve at pokhara it's really fun moment too,lot of attraction in there and street vendor with delicious food.For me i really like Momo the nepali chicken dumpling.
And it's really pleasure for us because we are invited to bbq party with nepali family.At that time we are all dancing with music from nepali,india,and indonesia.For me it's not just a trip but making new families

A Taiwanese friend referred this travel agent to us who's the most friendly and helpful agent ever!!! They worked with us before the trip to create a full itinerary of places to go and things to do, making us feel comfortable as the 1st time traveler to Nepal. Any questions or concerns were replied to very fast, and they were very patient no matter how many questions we asked!!! We arranged all the tour packages, domestic flights, hotels bookings by Alpine! Very reasonable price and satisfied experiences in Nepal!!! And YES, we would love to come back again and choosing Alpine as our tour planner next time!

We (young couple) dealt with Shekhar from the beginning and he was not only really responsive to our emails (max. wait only 6 hrs!) but also managed to put together a personalised tour of Nepal that suited our interests (culture, people, rural tourism, heritage and nature). People we talked to later in Nepal were amazed at how reasonable and competitive the price we paid was given the breadth and extent of our tour. The service provided by Alpine Asian Treks and Expeditions was first class. It was service with a soul and real care. We were treated as family rather than just customers. Their guides were also local to the places we visited so it was nice to see locals stopping them (and us) to chat and even invite us all to their houses for a cup of tea. Lovely experience throughout. Their ability to react to opportunities (e.g. local festivals), which required a change to carefully pre-planned itineraries was superb too.

I had a day where I was by myself so I decided to do a day trek from the scenic Nagarkot. The tour comes with a private driver and guide. The guide will take you on a 2-3 hour long hike (idea for low-medium level fitness)through the rural villages which I quite enjoyed.

There are lots of trekking companies to choose to book you trip from internet but you can not go wrong with ALPINE ASIAN TREKS. I emailed a few as part of my search; I found Alpine Asian Treks the most reasonable, most responsive than other companies that I talked to. They offered me the best itinerary for the exact kind of trip I was looking for so we group of 7 people including me booked our trip through the internet with AATE for ABC ( Annapurna Base Camp) high altitude trekking under the Himalayas and followed by a stay in a peaceful environment around the lake......!!!
Upon arrival at airport in Nepal they welcomed us with special garland and transfer us straight to the hotel. At the evening time we went to their city office to finalize the trip where we met our trekking staff (Binod and 3 porters). Mr. Durga explained the trip in detail with including and excluding things, altitude sickness, regarding out trekking plan, trekking gear and the safety while on trekking …. Which we really appreciated that. !!
At the evening time we had such a great time together in Nepali cultural restaurant where they offered us a welcome dinner.
Following morning as our schedule we regulated our journey to pokhara with our trekking guide and porters.
ABC Trekking was the best experience, knowledgeable guides who spoke English perfectly; they were caring enough, helpful and provided the best service. Our guide gave us all the information regarding the customs, food, local villages and their culture etc. After seeing and meeting many other guides and groups I felt like I had the best guide with us.
Durga was supportive, encouraging, and provided the best advice and service. Thanks to Alpine Asian treks and family, our experience to Himalayas was fantastic! I sincerely recommend AATE to everyone

Hey guys are you being inadequate of choosing the best travel for your journey then please try this "Alpine asian treks & Expedition ". Alpine will always be their for you as they did for us. Just before 1 month me & some of my friends ,whole together it was 10 pax. we completed an Annapurna Round Circuit. It was just awesome and the guide Durga he was just amazing full of adventure knowledge & so frank. The staff all off was just superb . Mostly the owner of this company Mr. Shekhar Thapa he was just mind blowing , so genuine, intelligent & power to motivate with guest . He supported us in everything we wanted to do, that's why may be after 2 week me & my whole family are moving for errands (Chitwan 2/ 3 days package). I know that it will be too enjoyable because the first trek with this company became just unforgettable part of my life.
Really I can't say that's its the only one best trekking travel agency in Nepal but Can say that it's the best one from the list of bests .
so if any body ask me for any good travel agency then of course my first word will be Alpine, "Alpine asian treks & expedition".

An unforgettable trekking through the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas, to the heart of the Annapurnas, their base camp, accompanied by our dear Chudamani, our Sherpa, who worried all the time that everything went well, your company was certainly the best of trekking.

During our stay in Nepal a couple of months ago, we were going to make trips to Nagarkot, Pokhara, and go trekking in the Annapurna region, so we went looking for a travel agency who could help us with that. A friend told us about the amazing experience they had with "Alpine Asian Treks and Expeditions", so we figured we'd try them, too. What can I say - we couldn't have made a better choice!!!
From our first moment with Alpine Asian Treks and Expeditions, we rather felt like we were around friends than at a general travel company. All of the staff we met were super nice and gave us a great experience every step of the way. Most of all, though, I remember the company owner Shekhar. Apart from being funny as hell, he is just an amazing guy who just really cares about giving you the best travelling experience you could possibly get. He supported us in everything we wanted to do, gave us advice and suggestions on activities that were really tailored to what WE wanted to do. That way, we got the comfort of having someone help us organize our trips - but at the same time, we never lost the feeling that it was actually US deciding what exactly we were gonna do when & how.
Because our first experience with Shekhar was so awesome, he ended up 'accompanying' our entire trip. Aside from Pokhara and the Annapurna area, he also gave us so many other suggestions of great activities in the Kathmandu valley. Because of his ideas, we really felt we didn't only get to do the stuff everybody else does, but got to see some amazing places quite off the beaten track.
All in all, Shekhar and his team helped giving us an unforgettable time in this wonderful place called Nepal. We can't wait to get back there again!!
And if any of my friends plan to go to Nepal in the future, and ask me about a good travel agency... I definitely give them this insider's tip to make sure their trip will be as unique and amazing as ours was. :)

I have been to Kathmandu for 3 months and only by chance I have found Alpine Asian Treks and Expeditions, just wondering around the streets of Thamel looking for an agency that would help me get into Tibet. I couldn't be luckier! As I have found the most helpful tourist guide I ever came across, Durga, which not only gave me all the information needed and found a way to get a group for me (unfortunately due very strict rules from Chine we weren't successful) but became a friend I went to visit regularly, as that is the feeling you get when you pop into Alpine Asian Treks and Expeditions! They are truly genuine and warm people. Durga in particular has helped me not only for Tibet, but when I decided to do the EBC, booking the flight to & from Lukla, suggesting places where to stay and gave me all sort of recommendations on how to cope with the trek. He also went the extra mile when it was my time to return to Italy and printed out all my tickets for me and offered to book a taxi to the airport! I just loved how lovely they were to me, and how Durga would make me feel like I was a friend and we would have Nepali tea over a chat, something that in 8 months of backpacking solo through Asia I have never found as usually Tourist agencies treated me like I was a purse with legs. I cannot recommend this Agency and Durga enough, if you are in Kathmandu' and get overwhelmed by the thousands of Agencies of Thamel and don't know which one to turn to, well...Alpine Asian Treks and Expeditions and Durga are what you have to look for!!
