Choosing NMMT for our Himalayan adventure is one of the best travel decisions we’ve ever made. From the first email with Ngima the owner months before the trek, all the way to being dropped off at the airport to leave Kathmandu, we could not have asked for anything more during our adventure! We hiked the Annapurna Circuit Trek having hired both a guide and a porter. Not only did they help organize our trekking permits a month in advance, answer silly travel questions I had about prepping to visit Nepal, but they welcomed us so warmly into their country and their family run trekking group, that I cried like a bubbling fool when it was time to say goodbye. They were incredibly communicative through the whole process, professional and friendly and there was no doubt that our safety was their priority, so we could experience as much as possible and enjoy each and every minute of our adventure! One of our biggest concerns was never having hiked above 3500M. Worried we might develop altitude sickness and have to turn back like some people do. But our guide, Dafuri, was so in tune with how we were doing with our hiking and high-altitude side effects that we were able to adjust, take care of ourselves and summit the pass without the aid of any altitude medication! His experience summiting Everest and other ginormous peaks both educated us on the dangers one must be aware of in these mountains as well entertained us for days on end. Even when one of us developed a severe allergic reaction (non-life threatening) to something on Day 3, Dafuri helped us get to a doctor, not once but twice, to ensure we were taken care of and healed enough to complete the trek! Our porter also never once complained about carrying our ridiculous amount of candy and protein bars we packed! And even when it rained, he made sure our belongings were dry at the end of the day! They taught us about the local customs, showed us shortcuts and places along the way we would never have found ourselves, and even taught us a few phrases in Sherpa and Nepali along the way! We truly felt taken care of and incredibly safe as their whole team worked hard to make our time there seriously magical. From customizing the trek and making sure we were taken care of at every step. It sure makes a difference when a tour company like this is family owned and operated! We not only got to experience a trip of a lifetime hiking through these majestic mountains, we feel like we’ve gained some pretty amazing friends in them along the way and can’t wait to get back! You will not be disappointed when choosing NMMT for your next adventure!

We can’t say enough good about Ngima Sherpa and NMMT! We booked a trip for May 2020 with them - COVID intervened and we quickly got ALL of our money back - so it was a no brainer to go back to them in 2022! We were not disappointed. We originally wanted to explore Bhutan and Tibet as well, but since they were closed, Ngima redid the trip to encompass Nepal only. They worked closely with us to create the trip of a lifetime. Kathmandu, 8 days trekking to Ghorepani and Khopra Danda, then Bandipur, Nagarkot…we were in expert hands from start to finish. Our trekking guide, Angelu Sherpa was amazing. Set a good pace but insured we could keep up. He really took care of us throughout. In Kathmandu, Toshi and Lakpa got us wherever we needed to go with ease. Super flexible - drove us to meet with friends, got us Kamal, an excellent local guide, drove us to get COVID tests for departure…. Whatever we needed or wanted they accommodated us. This is a local, family-owned and operated company - MUCH preferable to those big tour operators based in UK or Australia. Friendly, personal…they took care of us like we were family. They were the best, no question. If you are thinking about Nepal - and you should because it is INCREDIBLE, NMMT is the only way to go. You won’t be disappointed!

Our trek was wonderful. Awesome scenery. Nepal is, indeed, a treasure! Trek was challenging, but a fabulous achievement for me and my sister, Robbie. We give it 5 stars! Thanks to our guide, Ang, and porter, Kunga. They were fabulous. Their service was “Above and Beyond” the call of duty! Proud to call all of you friends. Many blessings to you.

Had a wonderful time in Nepal when we visited Pokhara and Chitwan in Oct 2019. The tour was arranged by Nepal Myths and Mountain Trails. From the time we started corresponding with Pasang Sherpa our tour specialist, the entire tour arrangements were handled by NMMT in a very professional manner. The tour was coordinated by Lakpa Sherpa who was constantly checking in on us to see if we were comfortable. He was kind enough to even make arrangements for our last-minute requests. We started the tour from Kathmandu to Pokhara by car and stopped midway to do rafting on the river Trishuli. Wonderful experience. We stayed 3 nights at the Fish Tail Lodge in Pokhara, a charming hotel and a great place to come and rest after all the activity in Pokhara. We did the paragliding from Sarangkot hill, a must try activity that can blow your mind away. Take the longer version one they call the cross-country ride. The view from the glider to the fantastic landscape below has to be experienced. This is a tandem flying activity and the pilots are experienced and certified by the civil aviation authority of Nepal. From Pokhara we drove down to Chitwan and spent 2 glorious days enjoying the wildlife and safari at the Chitwan National Park. We were fortunate to see a few one horned Rhino's up close. A sight that is bound to stay with us for a long time. These majestic animals are a sight to behold. Took the flight back to Kathmandu for a few days stay prior to our trip back to Singapore. Thank you Pasang and Lakpa for arranging and managing the entire tour. We had a great time. Thank you.

Such an amazing experience! I was very impressed with the knowledge and care that our guides embodied throughout the trip... I always felt supported, safe, and taken care of every step of the way. Our guides truly went above and beyond to make this an incredible journey. I would absolutely recommend Myths & Mountains to anyone looking to experience the beauty of Nepal / The Himalayas. Thank you Ngima, Lakpa, and Tashi!
