Gokyo Treks were responsive and professional from start to finish, and I couldn't recommend them more. If you are looking to hike in the region, they will go the extra lengths to accommodate for your specific needs.
Special thanks goes out to Rajesh - our super guide. He was everything we could have asked for from a guide; attentive, knowledgeable, kind, sociable. He made the 10 days that much more enjoyable for us and his infectious passion for the mountains elevated the experience up another notch.

Our experience with Gokyo treks & expeditions was nothing short of exceptional. Our guide Kamal was not only incredibly professional and always had our safety and best interests in mind, but he was also one the kindest people we’ve ever met. I feel privileged to spent 9 days with him and I appreciate all of the organisation of Ammar, which meant there was not a single hiccup throughout the journey.

We hired a porter through Gokyo for our Annapurna circuit trek in April and had a great experience. Ammar was very responsive throughout the booking process and also helped us secure permits - it all went very smooth. The price was good too.
Our porter Devi was a super nice guy and very flexible, we were able to set up the itinerary exactly as we wanted. Not only did Devi help carry a bag for us, he was also great company and we enjoyed getting to know him and learning more about Nepalese culture. He also had experience from having trekked the circuit a number of times before.
We couldn't have asked for more and would definitely recommend Gokyo!
Our porter Devi was a super nice guy and very flexible, we were able to set up the itinerary exactly as we wanted. I visited Nepal in Oct/Nov 2021. It was easy get Visa, even on-arrival Visa was available for vaccinated people with recommendation of Trekking company. We did the Tilicho Lake Trek in the Annapurna circuit area. This was organized by Gokyo Treks and Expedition . The organization of the Trekking was excellent, I was picked up at the airport, mandatory hotel booking for immigration was managed by the company so there was nothing to worry about in advance. Trekking itself was awesome, the guide was very experienced, I learned a lot about nature, surrounding beautiful Annapurna Range and the local culture.
I highly recommend Gokyo Treks and Expedition.
Concerning safety in the city area I was positively surprised that the vast majority of people are wearing face masks in Kathmandu, even when they are outside.

I went with a group of three other friends on the Everest base camp trek with our guide Som, and could not be happier with the experience. One of the most indescribably great trips I’ve ever been on, and there were so many parts of it that would have been difficult (or borderline impossible) without Som’s help. From booking the lodges on very crowded days, to handling Lukla flight cancellations, to giving advice on the best itinerary, to helping with all the harder parts about adjusting to 16,000+ feet, he was great. And he showed us an incredible view of Everest at sunset that I really will never be able to forget. Thanks so much Som and Gokyo, would recommend you to anyone!

So first off, great choice in the Annapurna Panorama Trek, excellent views, delicious food, and let’s just say the trek was hard enough for me and I have hiked through the western US.
Radesh was my guide and I am sooooooooooooooo happy it was him!! He took excellent care of me, always made sure I felt okay, made sure I didn’t feel pressured with the pace, always made sure I had enough to eat. There are some pretty tough moments on this hike, even though sll of Nepal describes it as easy. Going downstairs for such long periods of time can be very challenging on one’s knees, but Radesh made it as easy as he possibly could for me.
I have to say, he always pick the right place to stay. That is not subjective, he actually took care of the pick the best room he could for me, made sure I was as comfortable as possible, and picked the best logistical location possible. I didn’t realize there would be so much to consider, but he considers all of it. You could also tell that Radesh has an excellent reputation among tea house proprietors. He doesn’t drink or smoke, he maintains the highest professionalism, he knows he has to get up early and get his guests to their location safely.
Uttam was my porter and he was strong and super accommodating! Very professional, and very accommodating. Really helped me out when I needed it!
I also wanted to mention Ammar, every time I had to communicate to him from the states using WhatsApp, he always answered promptly and politely. He put together an excellent trip, as I also wanted to go to Chitwan national Park. Thank you everyone, I had an excellent time!!

We had a wonderful trek with our guide Shreeram. He went above and beyond to provide a beautiful one day hike from Kakani to Bhanjyang, a short drive from Kathmandu. The walk itself was stunning - with regular, clear views of the Himalayas - and Shreeram was so helpful and friendly. It was also very easy to arrange the trek. Ammar, our point of contact, was clear and responsive. I would highly recommend Gokyo

My two friends and I have booked a trek with Ammar to Everest Base Camp via the Gokyo Lakes and Cho La Pass. This was an unforgettable trip with lasting impressions. Not least because of the smooth organization of Ammar, the fantastic care of our guide Som and two very reliable and friendly porters. Unfortunately, I had to be evacuated from the helicopter on the trek due to altitude sickness and covid-19 of 5,200 meters. It was all very scary and unforeseen, but Ammar supported and accompanied me all the time like a friend. We come from Germany and in Nepal many things work very differently for us, but Ammar always made us feel very well taken care of. At the end of our trip we also enjoyed an informative day with Ammar as a city guide in Kathmandu. In terms of price-performance, I would clearly recommend Gokyo Treks & Expedition!

We are a German couple (over 50) and wanted to go trekking in the Himalayas for the first time. After a lot of research on the internet, we finally decided on Gokyo Treks & Expedition. We felt that we were in very good hands with this agency, as many of our questions were answered comprehensively and quickly by Ammar (Managing Director).
Our choice was to go for 10-day trekking from Lukla to Gokyo Ri (5357m). This tour was amazing because we had great weather, but especially because our trek was perfectly organized by Gokyo Treks & Expedition. We were picked up at the airport in Kathmandu very friendly by Kamal, our guide.
Kamal was a very experienced guide for us the whole time, who was able to tell us a lot about nature, but also many details about the places we visited and all about Nepal. The communication in English was great and at the lodges and restaurants our wishes were also translated and passed on by Kamal perfectly.
The absolute highlight was climbing the Gokyo Ri – with an unforgettable view and full panorama to all the peaks around including Mt. Everest and Cho Oyu.
On the way back we were also able to make an initially unplanned detour via Pangboche and the Tengboche Monastery so that the tour on the way back was also very varied.
We are very grateful to Kamal and the entire team at Gokyo Treks & Expedition including the porter of our luggage - that everything went so well.

We have booked Everest base camp trek with a Gokyo Treks and Expedition, a local agency in Nepal. Like other trekking, we choose a guide Bishnu Panday for our Everest holiday. Although it is a peak season there were very less trekkers in the region because of covid-19 travel restriction.
Ammar, owner of agency was friendly who answered all of my questions and offered a cheaper deal to us. Luckily we had good weather, perfect Lukla flight and also from base camp, we achieved the most amazing view of Khumbu Icefall and little stone stupas, an open memorial park of death climbers.
Besides of trekking, Ammar took us for a world heritage sites of Kathmandu. Thanks Ammar for arranging a great trip for us. We are hoping to be back for next adventure in coming spring season in Nepal.

Namaste dear guest, Thank you for your message. To be honest to reach Gokyo Ridge and return at Lukla in from 10 - 16th of August (7 days) is very tough. It's almost a very very tight plan. Another reason is in August, we still have a monsoon so there will be bad weather and rain in the mountain so Lukla flight often canceled.
However, if you definitely want to do Gokyo valley trekking than write us an email. So i will send you all the detail travel plan and itinerary with cost on mail. I hope that will be fine with you ?.

Sorry for late respond but to be honest it is not a good time to see the Everest Himalayas because of raining and bad weather at the moment so chances of Lukla very is only 5 % everyday morning.
