Just 2 weeks ago I returned from the Annapurna Panorama trek. Sweet, private 8 days trek.
Mr Shankar from Real Adventure Nepal was fantastic throughout the entire process. He promptly replied to all my e-mails, providing extensive information and answering all my questions.
He organised my airline tickets from Kathmandu to Pokhara and back, completed itinerary and service details as well as pick up/drop off from airport.
Durga was my guide and performed exceptionally well. He was happy to walk at the pace I set, he kept me informed of the distances, times and terrain difficulty to upcoming towns and his knowledge of the surrounding mountain peaks and their heights was impressive. When we arrived at the tea houses Durga stayed around the common area and was attentive to ensure that I was satisfied and happy.
If you choose to trek I would recommend using a tour company, and I have no hesitation recommending Real Adventure Nepal. They were exceptionally professional and even though everything went smoothly I had full confidence that they would deal with any issues effectively.
Many thanks to all that contributed to making my holiday so special. Memories that will last forever and a story to be told for many years.

Our tour in Nepal was exceptionally well organised by Shankar - he was prompt in answering all my questions during the setting up of the tour. He organised all our accommodation, internal flights, and sightseeing.
We were welcomed at the airport by their representative who introduced us to our Kathmandu driver as well as checking us into our hotel. He kept us fully informed throughout our trip as to how things would work and always ensured we were happy with the arrangements.
We enjoyed excellent hotel accommodation in Kathmandu, Chitwan National Park and Pokhara.
Everything went perfectly and the drivers and guides were prompt. The guides were knowledgeable and pleasant. Anju Thapa, our guide in Kathmandu, coped especially well as we were touring Kathmandu on their New Year's Day and the crowds were chaotic.
At our request the company organised a last minute booking for a mountain flight to view Everest - A must do if you go to Nepal.
Overall they were a very good choice to organise our tour and we found them to be efficient and professional. When organising the trip I had discussions with five tour companies in Kathmandu and Shankar at Real Adventure Nepal was definitely the winner for promptness and knowledge.

This is a bit of a long story but I think it needs to be told so that people aren't ripped off or treated badly by Real Adventure Nepal. I would definitely not recommend this operator to anybody.
Reason being:-
1. Overpriced
Real Adventure charged me USD 1,730 per person but what i had received during the trip was a much lower level standards than what it was really worth. The accommodations in Annapura were extremely bad ( no hot water and shared toilets- toilet water jetted up everywhere when you flushed-see pictures). When i checked the price list at the lodges, daily rate is approx USD5 per night. I was traveling with 2 friends and we paid a total of USD5,190 excluding international air tickets!
2. Incorrect and insufficient information provided before the trip
I started my communication with Mr. Shankar( the CEO of Real adventure) in early Feb. I mentioned a few times that one of my friends is over 60 and i needed to find an easy trail to hike and my requirements on accommodations ( 5 stars in big cities, nice and clean rooms on the mountains). Shankar advised that Annapurna was a very easy and pleasant trail and one of his customers over 70 could also manage. On the 2nd day on the mountain, i almost needed to arrange a helicopter for my friend to the nearest hospital as she was really sick after hiking 12 hours ( plus 8 hours the day before without a good rest). Our tour guide with over 10 years experience also commented that he would never recommended this trekking trail to anyone whose age over 50 as it is really a difficult and long distant route. We had to hike almost 10-12 hours everyday before we got to the next lodge. When we arrived the lodge, we thought we could have hot shower and good rest but what we provided was dirty rooms with cold water shower and my friend was bitten up by fleas.
We also asked Shankar if we needed to bring our own hair dryer and he replied that"Hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara provide you hair dryer but in trekking we are not sure, may be some where you will get". As such, we brought our own hair dryer. The days when we had cold showers, we felt extremely cold( 2-5c on the mountain) and used our own blower to dry our hair. Due to low capacity of power on the mountain, we caused an electric failure to the whole floor. It was very embarrassing and the hotel owner said that such electric appliance was not supported.
In addition, the day when we started at 3:30am to watch the sun rise, i noticed all other hikers had brought their headlights. Our tour guide was also shock that we were not informed to bring the appropriate trekking gears. It was very dangerous to walk in the dark and at the end he borrowed his mobile phone flash light to my 65-year-old friend to light the road ahead in order to walk up to the Pune Hill.
If Shankar have had told us in advance the difficulties of the trial, the conditions of the lodge on the mountain and the facilities, in particular for first time visitors to Nepal, I would not consider to trek in Nepal.
I hope to share my experience with you who are considering Real Adventure Nepal. Given their unprofessional qualities and dishonest conduct, please avoid.

It was a wonderful trip. Our guide Ishwor was very good and managed things well. We visited many famous destinations like Nagarkot and Chandragiri hills.I highly recommend this tourism agency for hassle free tours and travels.

We were very Lucky and blessed to encounter Shankar. From the very first moment (planning, negotiating,, and even modufying when it was needed) we felt we have an amazing contact person who listens and cares about our needs and wishes)
Upon our arrival to Kathmandu until the day we left every singel detail of the tour was executed perfectly and exactly the way it was promised to us.
We visited Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan NP... The accommodations, siteseeing, driver were great and made it an ungorgetable experience...
The "cherry on top of the cake" was meeting Shankar in person for a farewell dinner the last day we were in Kathmandu and exchanging gifts.
We are grateful we can say now we have friend in Nepal and we will certainly come to visit different parts of Nepal again in the future.
Needless to say this travel company is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

The experience I had in Nepal was beyond expectations thanks to the tour guide I was provided with. He was knowledgable and covered as much possible background and information about country, history, geography and culture. All trips were organized and the tour guide was punctual making the best out of the time I spent in Nepal. Communication was very good since the tour guide spoke English well and thats an important factor. There was a variety in the food and it was tasty and of good quality.
All in all, it was an awesome experience and I highly recommend.

We had great time in Nepal. Thank you such Shankar for your suggested itinerary, which was really best for me. We had short time but Shankar manage very well, really professional. Everything run by professional, on time departure for sightseeing. Our tour & trekking guide was really professional. We we booked trip with company for 12 days but in 12 days company make program for Kathmandu city tour, 4 hour Trishuli rafting, wildlife tour & 4 day Annapurna trek. They used us different guide for different services, they have city tour guide for city, river guide for rafting, wildlife guide for Jungle & mountain guide for trekking, we felt how lucky we are and how they manage all.
Provided hotel in Kathmandu, Chitwan & Pokhara was best but mountain side guide provide us guest house with common bathroom but guest house was good. Every time guide care us.

Finally we chose the Real Adventure Nepal Tours & Travel. Mr. Shankar is really genuine person i met. We impressed with his designed tour itinerary which was really best for me for my short time. We took 7 nights/ 8 days tour in Nepal with attraction of city tour, Adventure tour (Trishuli Rafting), wildlife tour and Sarangkot hill with Pokhara tour. Tour guide Mr. Dhakal is really professional, during our tour. Before start journey he always briefed about our day activities, which is best for us and we already cleared what we are doing today.
