Raju, Karan and the team were prompt and responsive to our queries right from beginning during our planning discussions. We were group of 5 friends having different preferences and queries but Karan and Raju helped with all information and suggestions. During trek, Raju and two porters went great lengths to help few of us first timers with moral and any medical issues. They were flexible right from the beginning till the end and catered to all of our needs. I would highly recommend this team for any hiking trip in Nepal as they are knowledgeable, flexible and great support.

My 16-day trek to Gorepani/Poonhill, Basecamp Annapurna and Mardi-Himal, organized by Nature Excursion was a wonderful experience.
The preparatory contacts with Karan went very smoothly and flawlessly.
Karan put together a full itinerary according to my wishes, from my arrival in Kathmandu to my return trip.
During the trekking, my guide Emmanuel Gurung and Taran Gurung were very caring for me and always on standby.
In all circumstances, they were there for me.
I am very grateful to Nature Excursion and the whole Gurung family for all the good care and the warm, welcoming welcome at their home after the trekking.
Nature Excursion is not just a commercial travel company, but a warm family collaboration with a particular focus on the well-being of the people who want to travel with them.

Our group of 4pax was properly taken care by guide Karan and porters Taran & Emmanuel for the 5Days Mardi Himal trek. Despite some wet weather at the beginning, Karan kept our spirits high and as a group all reached Mardi Himal viewpoint for an amazing sunrise across Annapurna South mountain range. Karan was patient also, as one of our trekking buddy is more senior at 68years and managed our trekking speed accordingly.

This was my first hiking trip in Nepal and I was so glad to have Raju and Emmanuel as our guide and the other team members as porters. It was worry-free, and everything was handled flawlessly and professionally. Communication with Raju was also seamless and he is quick to respond. We had briefings every night for the next day.
Safety was prioritised throughout the trip. During the hike both the guides and porters ensured that we were safe, helped us in crossing streams and choosing a safer path to take. They have great commitment to their work and service. It was exemplified by settling us into our meals, taking care of members who were unwell, accompanying the last person. They went above and beyond what was expected.
It was also exceptionally fun to have them accompany us. From listening to Nepali and Hindi songs, to playing cards, and having felt like a superstar as we had a photographer/ videographer digitise our trip. The whole team worked well together and their spirits were high. It lifted us up during steep sections!
They made the whole trip so memorable and fun. I would definitely recommend them and have them on my trip next time!

What an achievement! We just completed trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp in May 2024.
We did it with the guidance and help from our guide, Raju Gurung and his team.
What an experience of various challenges and camaraderie among us as we trekked along to reach ABC. Such experience will stay with us for a long, long time.

Had a phenomenal ABC experience with Nature Excursion! The guides and porters were very experienced and will go extra miles to make sure we are doing well. Everything (accommodation, meals, logistics) was taken care of by the team. I'm very impressed with their professionalism and hospitality that warms the heart. My wife and I together with another couple joined Raju pre-pandemic to experience the Manaslu trek. From the greet at the airport to the fairwell this trip remains top of the chart. From hotel accommodations, to trekking permits to everyday logistics of food and sleep in the tea houses Raju does it all. We had 2 porters hand picked by Raju who were also trained chefs. Every night they would enter the kitchen of whichever tea house we landed in and prepared tasty and hygienic meals. They were always keeping an eye out for food they did not trust for our North American stomachs. Weather, physical fitness, culture and more means that the unpredictable is unavoidable. You need a guide who can turn on a dime and Raju did it for; the initial bus breaking down and organizing jeep relief, adjusting itinerary for someone having to abandon the trip, making showers or cleaning facilities available as much as possible and managing the speed and needs of different people.
There are those experiences that come and go like an all inclusive beach get away that are most often forgettable, then there are those that will remain with you for life and that makes this one unforgettable.
Many years later we still keep in touch with Raju and his beautiful wife Punam and through WhatsApp have been part of them becoming parents through the arrival of Pranishna. 🙏 Namaste
p.s. looking forward to Ruby Valley trek in the near future

You must be at the first stage of booking your journey to the Himalayas to be reading this.
Me and my partner visited the Himalayas last year for the first time and we soon recognised the reason this region of the world is known as one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Like who wouldn’t a trekking adventure through the mountains for 12 days, experience nature at its finest conquering Everest Base Camp at the same time.
There’s a person to thank for this trip:
Raju first met us at the airport and we rode a taxi back to our hotel, from the very first moment of meeting us he was very conscious of how we were feeling, were we tired after the flight, did we need some rest etc. After dropping us off and having some rest he returned later that evening to brief us on the trips itinerary and put our minds at rest. Fast forward to the trip, I can say hand on heart I don’t believe our trip would have been so enjoyable without Raju as our guide he was the most caring attentive guide we could have wished for. He’s been on the mountains since a young boy and knows the routes like the back of his hand, he speaks English proficiently and has a a ton of stories to tell you along the way. Raju has built him self a wealth of connections on the trek and because of this we always seemed to get the best hotels first, the bigger meals, the better rooms compared to the other trekking trips.
If you’ve never been to Nepal before it’s unlikely you know who your guide will be, it’s luck of the draw how good they’re going to be. We didn’t know Raju before we arrived in Nepal, so this time we hit jackpot.If you’ve got this far you now know the Himalayas best guide.
Don’t wait too long to book your trip of a lifetime - you won’t regret it!

This was my first visit to nepal. Thanks to karan, with whom i was in touch via whatsapp for planning the trek to Island peak and EBC. The brothers duo Karan and Raju, made sure my trek was completed smooth and safe, they were very hospitable, and knew every route and people around the camps. Very friendly and helping team. Never felt any kind of issues in all my 16 days of trek. They also did arrange a separate mukthinath and manakamana tour on my request. Which again was a solo trip. flawless management in every aspect. Will definitely continue to do more treks and tours with them.

Karan is a very experienced, qualified and fun Trek leader. We met him in Annapurna circuit trek last year. Actually we were doing the trek on our own, then we met Karan and his group on the way and mostly we had same plan and places of stay in first 2-3 days so we became friends. Karan and his brother are very genuine souls who helped us alot without expecting anything from us. One of our friend was not feeling well during Tilicho lake trek, Karan offered to help and gave medicine to him and kept an eye on his health. He guided us in choosing the homestays or commute also after the trek. After the trek we joined Karan's group for poon hill trip, and that was one of the best organised trip for me in every way. We had the best stay, food and a special dance party where people from 4 different countries were enjoying together like a family. Thankyou Karan for being such nice host and making our nepal trip memorable. We love you.
