This June, we did the trek to Everest base camp. It was a 12 day trek, and sure to be one of the greatest experiences of my entire life!! We went during the off season (monsoon season normally) and besides a little rain in the beginning, we were able to get tons of really sunny days with the most extraordinary scenery. Shree, the owner of the trekking company, was SO incredibly helpful and answered any questions we had about Nepal and the trip. He made us feel really safe about our experience and had a lot of helpful tips about how to get the most out of our travels. Prakash, our guide, was AWESOME. He was so knowledgable about all of the areas we visited and taught us so much about everything we saw. As my Dad and I were the only clients on this trek, we got to know him super well and he took such great care of us. Our porter, Pal Den, was an absolute SUPERHERO and so so wonderful. They are both so kind, patient, and generous and we could not be more grateful to them!! Definitely would not have made it 5 minutes on this trip without them, let alone to basecamp. They rock!! Basecamp adventure is an awesome company dedicated to providing unique, life changing experiences, and choosing this travel company was the best choice we could have made. They are also a local Nepali owned trekking company which is awesome to support and super important!! If you're thinking of doing this trip, I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you so much Basecamp Adventure!! :)

Trip of a lifetime, and there is no other company I would trust to deliver a trek like this. My daughter and I decided to take a shot at Everest Basecamp before she started graduate school. Everyone told us that EBC is challenging and that June was NOT the season most trekkers go because of the monsoon rains. Shree, the owner, was very helpful--a constant communicator answering all of our questions about what we'd need to bring, how much rain we would see, and are leeches a thing?? (They are, but we didn't see any.) Our guide Prakash Adhikari and porter, Palden, became family to us during the 14-day trek. Prakash has been to Basecamp well over 150 times and knew exactly how to get us up there and back without encountering any issues with altitude, drinking water, or route changes due to heavy rains. He was patient with us and had an encyclopedic knowledge of Nepal's mountains, traditions, history, and the Khumbu valley. Palden carried our backpacks up the mountain without breaking a sweat. While my daughter and I were gasping at 17000 feet, we'd see Palden jogging ahead, fully loaded, and singing a song. Speaking of heavy rains-there weren't any. We encountered a few hours of rain the first morning of the trek, and that was it for the entire trip. We saw only six other trekkers; the mountains were green and covered with wildflowers, and the two days at EBC and Kala Patthar were cloudless and perfect. Basically, we had the best guide and porter and the entire mountain to ourselves, which was spectacular. You'll see some people using "life-changing" in their reviews, and forgive me if I pile on, but this trip with my daughter to Everest Basecamp was that and more, thanks to Basecamp Adventures. One more thing: Basecamp Adventures is Nepali-owned and operated. Your trip fees and tips go directly to the Nepali community, not a US entity dressed up as a local expert. When you have one shot at Basecamp, choose a company like Basecamp Adventures and their fantastic guide, Prakash, to get you there.

We did a 5 days annapurna base camp trek. This was an intense and challenging trek. Our guide and porter picked us at Pokhara airport and we took a 3 hour bus ride to the starting point of the trek. we had to reach certain checkpoints in order to reach abc on the 3rd day. our guide was helpful in explaining the areas we were going too, he really took care of us, making sure we were safe at every risky walk or crossover. he told us to take our time if we wanted it slow. he was patient with us and very understanding. Our next mentioned goes to our superman porter, Pramod Adhikari. He was really strong and carried our bags up to abc. i really dont know how he does it but credit goes to people like him who helps us clients in getting our bags to the top. i really liked him. he was comfortable with our guide and my girlfriend. I would recommend both of them to any of your trek packages .

My wife and I are novice trekkers and decided to do the 4 day trek to Poon Hill. All 4 days were well planned and manageable with around 4-6 hours trekking each day, leaving early each day and arriving at our accommodation for around lunch time. Before the trek, we had a briefing and were given a bag (as we paid for a porter) and a down jacket each, which was necessary. Our guide, Shiva, was very informative and friendly, and planned a great trip; his English was excellent and he communicated between us and locals flawlessly. Our porter, Saha, who was lovely and made a real effort with us, wanting to know more about us and home lives. We would highly recommend. Do note: we booked through Bookmundi and the food exclusion was not clear. Any food or drink for yourselves are excluded. Guide's food and drink is covered in the price.

This trip was quite frankly one of the best thing I’ve ever done in my entire life. Any expectations I had for what we would see and do were massively blown out of the water - the trails, scenery, mountains and lakes were just breathtakingly beautiful and very humbling. It was all made even better by our incredible guide Prakash who was nothing but a superstar - he was very professional, attentive and informative while being a great laugh and companion. Equally our Porter Indra was a superhero, how this guy carries the duffel bags over the same 200-odd KMs with such a big smile on his face is beyond me. Finally Basecamp Adventures themselves (and Shree the owner) were brilliant, excellent communication from the moment we contacted them, meeting us at the airport in Kathmandu and then looking after us every step of the way. I’d 100000% recommend doing this trek with these guys (and specifically asking for Prakash to guide you!), you will not be disappointed!
