It was really a nice experience at Museum of Nepalese Arts (MoNA). It is the best place to witness the history and development of Nepalese Art. Their effort to promote the artists and enhance the creativity of new artist is very appreciable. The museum guide was very informative and helpful. I am very touched by their warm hospitality. Special thanks to Sanjeev Tuladhar for his invitation and accompanying me throughout the tour.

The exhibition is a well curated compilation of Nepalese traditional and contemporary art. A great experience and spiritual vibe that can be extracted from the displays and the place itself. The place has a cafe and bakery so you can take time to read, relax, research as well.

Amazing place to visit. love the ambience and the art pieces are exceptional. The museum is housed at Kathmandu Guest House. Enjoyed the day at the museum and the amazing garden. I loved how you can get the photos of the art pieces downloaded to your phone just by scanning the QR code, very interactive.
Also the bakery is affordable and YUM FOOD!!! Highly recommend it !

A must visit when in Kathmandu for Nepalis as well as non-Nepalis.
It is a place where you can experience the artistic traditions of Nepali art being practiced from centuries ago and still continuing till today, bridging the past with the current traditions of today.

The wonderful collection of both Contemporary and Traditional arts of Nepal provides a wholistic experience to familiarize with the rich culture of Nepal.
Guided tours enhances the visit and the MoNA cafe can help you relax and recapitulate the enriching experience!

A place to view the raw beauty of Nepalese Art. Comprising of both Traditional Art as well as Nepalese Contemporary Art, the Museum of Nepali Art encompasses the cultural concentration of various Nepalese Gods and Goddess. The museum not only centralizes the collection but also respects the traditions and cultures of the Nepalese Community.
The museum is the first museum that has presented Nepalese Art in a standard that follows international museum guidelines. The ambiance lighting and music created a blissful aura that gives the visitors peace of mind during the visit.

Visited the museum with friends this Spring. It is the only museum in Nepal that has both traditional and modern Nepali Art on display. Every piece is curated and displayed with detailed information and story on the piece. The ambience is great and the cafe outside has the best brownies and coffee!

Nepalese culture is very rich and diverse, which is not recognized and admired by many people within the country. Mainly because Nepal does not have the platform to convey these message of art and artistic skills to the new generation. Museum of Nepali Art has been able to do this very effectively. The display of the art and statues are extraordinarily well-constructed.
I found the rare and beautiful masterpieces by experienced and skillful artist who deserve the recognition in the national and internal market.

I enjoyed seeing beautiful paintings of many senior artists in one place.
It has helped to support Nepalese Artists.
IT was a peaceful environment without any disturbance while viewing paintings.
But, I had expected even more paintings in MONA. I hope in future we could see more beautiful paintings from more talented Nepalese artists.
