Great teaching skills, amazing vibes and for a good cause!
Newly reopened after covid, the teachers at this cooking school are very skilful young guys and girls with a mission to both teach their culture and cuisine and help women in need. Great atmosphere, extremely available, genuine and kind. I had lots of requests and they taught me to make momos exactly the way I wanted to, with all of the spices used at one of the best momo spots in Kathmandu (the carrot halwa was also surprisingly refined and easy to make). I went to 7 different cooking schools around Asia in the last few months and this was, together with another one, by far the best experience I have had. In other places you feel that they are only doing it for the money, here you feel part of a family. I will 10/10 go again next time I visit Nepal!

Hospitality, delicious food, and just the most wonderful cooking experience.
We spent the afternoon in the kitchen cooking, laughing, and eating with the most wonderful hosts. After a long COVID hiatus, the 2Sisters has recently reopened in a new location near Buddha Stupa. The kitchen and the whole facility are bright, clean and well-equipped. The menu selection was well thought out - reflecting various regions and cultural groups of Nepal. Our family with 3 kids all got fully immersed in all aspects of preparing the dishes we selected, under the always supporting watch of 2Sisters' team. We made Masala tea, Chatamari, Egg Roti, Daal Bhat, Momo, Chocolate Momo, and Carrot Pudding. Best of all 2Sisters is a social enterprise which supports women of local communities. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an immersive experience and delicious Nepali food.

    A must do for foodies!
I enjoyed my time at 2sisters. I had a private class with Saloni. There were lots of recipes to choose from, from veggies to meat, appetizers to dessert. You choose your dishes then head out for a short walk to the market to gather the ingredients and then prep and cook. The recipes are easy to follow, and turned out delicious. The assistants who came to help were lovely, took pictures and videos and the guy (forgot his name) was full of history and anecdotes about Nepal and the religion and its people. Very informative and fun! I had a great time. They send the recipes afterwards so you can make at home. The recipes are clear and concise. Can’t wait to try. Lastly, the follow up is great. Although they sent the recipes, it wasn’t showing up in my email. I texted on WhatsApp and she quickly responded and resent. If you’re looking to met locals, and take a

    Memories to Share
This was one of the highlights of our trip- highly recommend this class with 2Sisters! In fact, I think that the food we made with them was some of the best food in Nepal (and that's saying a lot because I really loved all the food there). Fresh, high quality ingredients were used, and the instructors made it all look so easy. To top it off, they sent us a digital recipe book so we can continue to recreate the spicy yummy momos from the Bay Area and share a taste of Nepal with friends back home.

Perfect way to spend an afternoon in Kathmandu!
I had a great afternoon with Saloni, she was a great teacher and interesting to talk with. I was picked up by motorbike and taken to school. We first visited the local produce area close to the kitchen to buy the veggies needed for menu chosen. First off a nice masala tea to get started. All meal courses were delicious and nice to have a copy of all available menu choice recipes. The kitchen is very organized. Can eat as much of your cooking as you like! I would definitely recommend 2sisters Nepal Cooking School. Returned to Homestay vía taxi app and Saloni was extremely helpful in getting me to pick up point in the midst of Kathmandu rush hour. Overall a great worthwhile afternoon.

Warm friendly people and delicious food!!
I had the best time at 2 sisters cooking school. The food was wonderful, and the people running it are so warm and friendly and went above and beyond to give us an incredible experience. I left so happy. You get to pick from a menu and entree, main meal and desert, and then you can go out with them to a local corner shop to pick up the ingredients. And then you come back and cook a feast. The conversation flowed the whole time, and I left with lots of ideas about what to do and see in Nepal. When we finished, the su chefs actually gave us a ride back to our hotel on their motorbikes- was a very cool and unexpected bonus!! We are going to visit them again and choose other dishes- it was that good!

Highlight of our stay in Kathmandu
This is one of the highlight of our 5 weeks holiday in Nepal and we are glad to make the decision to take cooking class last minute. Classes are offered three times which is very flexible, we opted for 5pm. The class starts with menu choices and grocery shopping like a local. 2sisters nepal cooking school is located right by the boudhanath stupa with a cute dining space with lots of big plants and prayer flags. We were staying in Thamel where we were picked up for free so that we could explore the area before the class started. We cooked delicious and hearty meal with 2 sisters team. You really don't need to know how to cook as the Saloni and Shusma guide you throughly. Both hosts were lovely and we all felt comfortable in an instant. The time passed so quickly, just chatting away, exchanging thoughts about our lives and travels. It was great to get insight into Nepal from a local. The kitchen is very clean and all the ingredients are organic and high quality. There is purified water for drinking as well as cooking and preparing mea. Aprons, hand sanitiser, hats and lots of water and soap for hand washing are available. This is a great activity for anyone who loves food whether you are an experienced cook or a complete beginner. All you need is a positive attitude and an empty stomach like Shusma said. Thank you 2 sisters team for such a great hospitality and for such a memorable experience.

The best cooking class in kathmandu
We had an amazing time at 2sisters cooking class. We were a small group and we made four delicious nepali dishes! When we arrived we got the best masala tea we tried during our stay in Nepal. Then we got to choose one first course, one main course and two desserts. We also went to the marked to buy ingredients for the meals. We learnt a lot about traditional nepali food and spices from different regions. Making the momos in different shapes was especially fun. We got very inspired to keep making and eating nepali food when we get back from our trip. Definitely a must do in Kathmandu!

My partner and I had such a wonderful time at the 2sisters cooking school. Shusma was an incredible teacher, we enjoyed the cooking process immensely and eating our delicious food even more. Shusma was also great at informing us about Nepalese culture and traditions and had some great recommendations for our stay. We honestly felt as though we were treated as family and the cause that the cooking school supports is so important. We could not be happier with our experience. Thank you!

Booked by my daughter (who has previously had a cooking session with them). Really fabulous afternoon - my 80 year old mother in law and I were there from 1-5pm. We were collected from our address and taken to the venue (paid for by 2 Sisters for 1 way journey). There was 3 of us booked on to the afternoon session. First of all we made some lovely masala tea, and then as a group of 3 we selected 3 course meal to make. Great hands on tutoring provided. Shushma is a great teacher, endlessly patient and calm. It made the 3 hours of cooking absolutely fly by. After sitting outside on the terrace to eat our starter we cooked up our main and dessert meals which were served to us out on the terrace. When it was time to go Sushma took time to book us a taxi via app and take us downstairs to ensure we got in the correct taxi. Another customer who was cooking with us was using 2 Sisters for the 2nd time. 2 Sisters was previously based at an address in Sanapa but had to start up reviews again as a separate listing when they moved. Please do take time to read the excellent reviews on the separate listing as well. Highly recommended.

The flexibility and personalisation of the to what I need (gluten free) and wanted was absolutely amazing. The food was epic and everything else was amazing. Shusma is really great teacher with lots of knowledge, skills and patience. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and story with us! The social work you are doing is amazing and the food I made and ate was delicious. I will recommend 2sisters to everyone who are in Nepal and also who is planning to come in the future. Hope to see you next time!

What an incredible morning spent learning with Saloni and Sunil. They created a welcoming environment and gave me so many tips and advice in and out of the kitchen - recommended me places to visit, and even arranged a visit to the Community Dog Welfare Kopan for me when I expressed how I loved volunteering with dogs.

My choice of dishes was Chatamari with Masala tea, Daal Bhat and Chocolate Momo’s - all vegan! I absolutely loved the experience and can’t wait to take these back home with me and try the recipes for my family.

Saloni and Sunil - thank you once again, you’re great teachers who explain every step of the process in detail and made me feel right at home when cooking.
