Everest Base Camp Trek - 14 Days

Everest Base Camp Trek gives you an opportunity to visit some of the high-altitude destinations that only a handful of world’s population ever gets to visit. Following the footsteps of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, trek along the foothills of Himalayan mountains including the world’s highest, Mount Everest (8,848 m). Stand beneath their massive shadows and feel humbled. En route experience Sherpa hospitality and culture, Buddhist spiritualism (the trails are littered with mani stones, chortens and colorful prayer flags) and amazing mountain scenery.

NOTE: The Lukla flights to and from Kathmandu have been shifted to Manthali Airport, Ramechhap district due to heavy air traffic during peak trekking season (Mar, Apr, May, Oct, Nov). But, if we receive any updates, we will let you know as soon as possible. An extra cost would be applicable if airlines do not provide any shuttle services or if you want to take a private vehicle instead of the shared ride provided by the airlines.

This professionally designed climbing itinerary takes you to the acclimatization hike to the most popular trekking destination of Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthhar first for the close-up views of Mt. Everest before scaling the Island Peak. It was the name given to the mountain in 1952 by Eric Shipton who thought it to be reminiscent of an island in a sea of ice. Gokyo Valley Trek

Gokyo Valley Trek is offers magnificent views of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier– the largest in Nepal’s Himalayas. The view of this region is associated with the soaring views of the most popular mountains in Nepal, at an altitude of 8,000 m such as Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu which are clearly visible from Gokyo Ri above Gokyo Lake. One of the most remarkable features is the views of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung.

After landing at Lukla’s airport, the adventure begins. We spend the next few days trekking and interacting amongst the mountain people also known as Sherpa’s, we stay at local lodges and trek into the heartland of their villages. We will pass Buddhist monasteries with the views of Everest and other snow towering mountains getting closer by the day. I completed this trek with Ace in December. During COVID! And I sort of booked it at the last minute too. Everything about the experience was fantastic. From the second I first reached out about going on a trek, Ace was extremely responsive and helpful. They were especially great in helping me figure out and organize all of the logistics around COVID. They continued to be super helpful and diligent when I arrived in Nepal. It was so nice not to have to worry about securing my own transportation to the hotel, to the COVID test or to the airports. The trek itself was also incredible. Basically as soon as we started hiking I thought to myself "this is already one of the best experiences of my life". Because of COVID (and also because I went in December), the route was practically empty. I ran into only a handful of other tourists the entire time. It was pretty incredible to feel like I had the trail to myself. Because the trail (and also the guesthouses) were so empty, I felt extremely safe and comfortable from a COVID perspective. To be honest, I basically forgot that COVID existed the entire time I was trekking. My guide and porter, Milan and Soman, were also just the best. They made me feel like I was hiking with friends.

It was the first experience for my wife and me to hike to Everest Base Camp in October 2019. All the experience with Ace the Himalaya from our arrival, trek and departure was so convenient and professional! They really took care of us during our stay and hike. We were way more than satisfied with their services. Specific shout out to Milan (our trek guide), Amin (co-guide / porter) and Sajiya (customer service) who we now considered as friends, not just our service providers. We miss you guys and really hope to return to Nepal in near future!

I trekked to Annapurna Base Camp with my boyfriend in February and let's just say that I was nervous about it, having never done any trekking on this scale before. But our guide Krish was brilliant and we were so well looked after. In the mountains I've never seen views like it, I can't recommend it enough. We also stayed in Pokhara for a night and I never wanted to leave! We were so lucky to get there before the lockdown, but we'll definitely be using the company again for our next adventure. Thanks a million.

The Everest Base Camp Trek with Ace the Himalaya was one of my favourite trips of all time. Our guides (Bharat and Manoj) were incredibly professional and knowledgeable, which allowed me and my family to fully immerse ourselves in this once in a lifetime experience. If you ever wish to visit Nepal or the Himalayas, be sure to go through Ace! We completed this trek in 2011, and we have returned to Nepal several times since then to support Ace's partner charity, Sambhav Nepal, which is focused on improving the quality of education, healthcare and opportunities to people in the Gorkha region of Nepal.
