Nepal Inside Out is a family run business, which organizes positive impact travels in Nepal. Our mission is to organize tours that give back as much as possible to the local communities and to spread the benefits of tourism in less traveled regions. Our itineraries are tailor-made with a focus on less traveled regions and less known trekkings. There are plenty of opportunities for activities and contacts with locals and local communities. We love to give all our guests a personal service. We are Travelife Certified since 2018 and strive towards making our travels more sustainable every year.

Great company. Really enjoyed our trip. It was my husband and I and our 2 older kids (23 and 15) and we chose a trip with Nepal Inside Out which as well as the 7 day trek, also transported us from Kathmandu to Pokhara via a night in the hills. We had a fabulous young and knowledgeable guide (19years old!) who has already been leading trips for over 2 years as well as two delightful porters. Accommodation was fine, food was good and overall, the trip was well organised and we felt safe at all times. Highly recommended.

I feel compelled to share my nightmarish experience of a family trek on the Annapurna Circuit with Nepal Inside Out. The travel agency was incredibly disorganized. Our itinerary was unclear, and we wasted a considerable amount of time conversing with the guide to comprehend what was planned.
The guide assigned to us by the agency was utterly incompetent and unprofessional. He lacked a deep understanding of the region and was unable to answer even our most basic inquiries about the mountains and local culture. Moreover, he frequently left us on our own along the trail, making us feel lost and abandoned.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing this travel agency. Their lack of organization, unprofessionalism, and disregard for customer satisfaction turned what should have been a memorable adventure into a regrettable experience.

We use the service of Nepal Inside Out to rent a guide for a 2-week trek (Langtang). The trek was great, but we had a very poor experience with the guide.
The main problem is that the guide did not speak English, although we had agreed with the manager (and as stated on the bill), on an English speaking guide. The guide was nice but did not understand most of my simple questions, and soon told me that his English was very poor, and that he was unable to express himself. On the first evening of the trek, it was only thanks to the wifi that we were able to discuss with him with a Nepalese translation application on my smartphone.
In addition, he told us a few days later that he had not participated in the Langtang walk for 10 years. As a result, he repeatedly did not know if there was accommodation on a road and he made a mistake on the roads. So we end up using a gps tracking application to direct us.
Finally, he was ignorant of the simple questions that we tried to ask him, such as: when was the Langtang national park created? why is Gosainkunda lake a holy place? In fact, he simply followed us, unable to talk to us, and playing with his smartphone during our stops.
The fault is not with the guide (we could not ask him to do what he was not capable of), but with the agency itself who provided as a guide someone who cannot communicate in English and was incompetent. I had contacted this trek agency and booked a guide three months before our trip, following a recommendation, so it was not a last minute pickup on internet. And we had to paid the entire service in advance.

Doesn't care about client as soon as client arrives to Nepal. Itinerary says one things, but reality they save every penny and dont provide what was beautifully pictured on the plan.
Husband and wife speaks different stories: my last night in Nepal I had to get transfer from hotel to airport. I got it, but the husband said he doesn't want to pay for it. Even though I paid them in advance ...
To my numerous feedback I only got this reply: "if you dont like it, you can cancel it".

Nepal Inside Out is the perfect choice if you are looking for an excellent travel agency who helps you organize your individual Nepal trip. Maaike and Chuda will put together the perfect itinary according to your personal wishes and needs. We did the indigenious people trek with homestays and got a great and deep insight in the local live! Communication, transport & organisation was always easy, fast and perfect and we felt very well cared for even when we had to make last minute adjustments our needs were always met perfectly. Anytime again!

We had a very good and pleasant Helambu Climate trekking. We had to do the trekking as part of the mandatory government visa requirements. Along the trail security and safety measures were taken by the local lodge owners and Nepal Inside Out. The trails went through beautiful forests and over well-preserved alpine meadows, the lodges were equipped with solar water heaters, solar electricity and comfortable beds, and the lodge-owners and villagers were very friendly. Some villages closed themselves off, because of fear for COVID-19 transmission.

We found Maaike from Nepal Inside Out on facebook and asked them for a proposal. When we received it we were very pleased, just what we wanted route wise, hotel wise and with private transport and all that for a fair price. They pick you up at the airport and have a short meeting in your hotel to explain your tour and if there are questions they will answer them. You also get there Whatsapp so you can contact them during your trip. We have had the time of our life in Nepal thanks to them!
