Amber and Deepak of Himalayan Destinations are personalized, caring, professional and knowledgeable. We spent lots of time chatting with Amber and he is a real pleasure to be with; thoughtful, articulate and fun.

We spent 8 days in Nepal, 5 of which were in the Annapurna foothills in the Kerry and Downey Lodges with our 10 year old twins. It was a beautiful and majestic setting with myriad views of the Annapurna range. The walks, accommodation, service, guiding, porters and overall standard of care and attention we received was superb. A special mention about our Guide, Padam Paudel, and our two Porters for whom nothing was too much trouble. The quality and hygiene of the food and water peovided was excellent.

The 2 nights we spent at the Dwarika Dhulikel Resort were also excellent and the place is as good if not better than any of the best international resorts in every respect. The helicopter flight to the Everest Base Camp region and the Everest View Hotel for breakfast is truly memorable, and exceeded the hifh3 expectations we had.

Our gratetful thanks to Amber for the extensive preparation, attention to detail and time he spent with us. We look forward to returning to Nepal, Himalayan Destinations and its wonderful people again soon.

Mr Deepak and his team; especially Amber looked after us so well when we went to Nepal last week. We were there 12 days and they planned our trip down to the tiniest detail. We were met at the airport and every step of the way we had someone to guide us perfectly. One day we were flying to Pokhara for our 3 day trek however the weather was not great and most flights bar 2 were cancelled due to the bad weather. Amber got us onto one of the flights and had an airport steward come and get us and make sure we got onto the plane. We felt safe and so well looked after. If we needed to change our plans due to the weather that was also not a problem. I cannot recommend Himalayan Destinations highly enough. They are the best people to organise your trip to Nepal with. The guides they chose for our trek were equally great. The hotels they put us up in were the best. Professional, thoughtful and the best! Thank you!

We are very thankful to Amber. He arranged everything perfectly . Both hotels in Pokhara and Chitwan was in wonderful location next to Fewa Tal and middle of the jungle . Which was very perfect for us. We enjoyed our family time really good since my son came from USA.

I always recommend Himalayan Destinations to other travelers.

Thank you

The representatives of the company were very friendly, knowledgeable and very interested in our well being. We were met at the airport where they assisted with our visa and transfer to the hotel. The tour was enlightening and well organised.

My girlfriend and I spent almost 4 weeks in Nepal on our extended trip through Asia. Since I had already been to Nepal 2 years ago with my family and was therefore already familiar with Himalyan Destinations, I didn't hesitate for a second and contacted Deepak & Amber Upraity to set up a tailor-made program for us. The preparation was extremely demanding - because of COVID and because we left at relatively short notice - but Himalayan Destinations mastered this challenge excellently and supported us perfectly in the planning. In the end, we had a 3.5 week itinerary that started with a trek to Everest Base Camp and led us back to Kathmandu via a river rafting trip in Kurintar, adventure days in Pokhara, a fascinating and adventurous stay in Chitwan National Park with various safari excursions, and a yoga retreat near Namobuddha. Even two years later we still felt extremely well taken care of, every little detail was thought of and even last-minute requests for changes and additional help with the organization of our onward journey were offered without hesitation (PCR test, package shipment to Switzerland, establishing contact with a business partner in Sri Lanka, etc.). This was definitely not the last time we were in Nepal and we will continue to book through Himalayan Destinations in the future without hesitation.

Deepak and Amber were superb at organising and managing our bespoke visit to Kathmandu and 7 day Mardi Himal trek in the Annapurna region.
The hotels selected were excellent, particularly the Swotha Traditional Homes in Kathmandu.
I highly recommend Himalayan Destinations to anyone looking for a really special experience.

Himalayan Adventures took care of the Nepal part of my solo adventure to peal and India, and I couldn’t have been more pleased! The guides were personable, helpful, knowledgible, and timely. The drivers in Nepal are fearless and accomplished and drive in ways pretty foreign to Americans! However, I was never fearful!

My early morning flight to see the Himalayans was cancelled due to fog, but they arranged seating on my flights to and from Pokhara so that , weather permitting, I'd see them. My early morning Pokhara trip to see the sunrise onto the Himalayans couldn’t have been better.

As I was leaving Kathmandu to fly to Pokhata, I pulled a muscle in my leg. Upon arrival, my Pokhara guide couldn’t have been more accommodating to my situation, stopping to get a medicine and revising the itinerary, but checking with me to be sure I was ok with the changes. For the morning trip to see the sunrise on the Himalayans, he thought to bring a trekking pole which made taking the steps much easier.

I highly recommend Himalayan Destinations!

I can not recommend Deepak and his company strongly enough. From the moment of my late arrival into Kathmandu ( a dead animal on the runway made my late flight even later ) until the day I left I was looked after so well. Guides and transport were always on time and all the guides in each city were friendly, helpful and informative. There were nine of us on the tour and we were exposed to so much culture, nature and experiences that we could never done as an individual.
Deepak was always available if I had any queries and, as I had arrived a few days before my actual tour, he arranged a guide and driver for an additional tour for me.
I really appreciated the fact that Deepak asked for feedback on my trip and took on board some minor suggestion e.g I would have loved to have an extra day in both Chitiwan NP and Pokhara.
I believe Deepak also does tours for couples and we are hoping to do another trip ( just my husband and I ) in the near future.
Thankyou again for a once in a lifetime adventure.

My husband and I visited Nepal in March 2018. We traveled with a group of 12 people from the US who hired a custom tour operator in India to organize the trip which started in New Delhi. Our Indian tour operator hired Himalayan Destinations to organize the Nepal part of our trip.

Everything was handled for us in Nepal by Deepak and his son Amber, from arrival to departure. In addition to sightseeing in and around Kathmandu, we flew to Bharatpur for safari in Chitwan National Park. Lots of rhinos! We also did a flyover of the Himalayas including Mt Everest from Kathmandu which was an amazing experience. All aspects of the trip were excellent including lodging, meals, transportation, sightseeing and tour guides.

My husband and I stayed a few extra days after the group left. I booked a different hotel myself for that portion of our trip. There was a time gap between checkout from one hotel and check in at the next. Without me asking, Deepak worked with both hotels to ensure we could move directly from one to the other and he arranged for transportation between hotels. It was such a relief to not have to figure out how to bridge the 3-hour gap in lodging, especially since I was not feeling well at the time.

I wanted to visit Swayambhunath Temple (aka, the Monkey Temple), but I am disabled and in a wheelchair. This temple has 365 steps to get to the top. Deepak arranged for a driver plus 2 men who do mountain excursions to take us to the temple. The two guys and my husband carried me the whole way to the top in my wheelchair!! I am so grateful. In addition to getting to see the temple, it is a great place to buy souvenirs. We bought a beautiful painting of Mt Everest and a wonderful elephant God mask which now hang proudly in our home.

After our excursion to Swayambhunath Temple, we had drinks and a delightful conversation with Deepak and Amber at our hotel.

I highly recommend Himalayan Destinations for excellent attentive personalized travel in Nepal. They ensure every detail is to your needs and liking.

As a couple we have visited Nepal several times. Deepak and his team from Himalayan Destinations were always of big help to us from the first minute we entered Nepal, i.e. arriving at Kathmandu airport. They always organized our trips in a perfect way and to our full satisfaction (flight tickets, ground transport, accommodation, permits, guides, etc.). Deepak took personally care about us after the big earth quake in 2015. We experienced the earth quake while crossing Larkya La pass (Manaslu region). The Himalayan Destinations team organized our transport from Jagat back to Kathmandu. We even got accommodation in another hotel since our original one was damaged. We are still very grateful to Deepak and his team for taking care about us in that difficult and challenging situation.
