When you choose the idea of doing the CBE, the question that arises is with whom to hire this expedition.
It is critical, because it will possibly define a large part of your trip.
I am grateful that I found Footprint and his team.
On the one hand, Madhav was always attentive to our doubts prior to trekking and on the other hand, Ganesh, our guide, was a success.
He is the type of person who is attentive 24/7 but also leaves you time to be alone or with your colleagues.
They show in every moment they love what they do because after the trekking, they still take care of you and your trip in Kathmandu.
I recommend that if you want to do this adventure, or others in Nepal, both alone and with friends, contact them to find out about their packages.
Thank you for taking care at all times and making us live this life experience.
We are sure to see each other again!

To all the readers who are checking out this blog & company for their next trekking adventure in Nepal.
Look no further !!
It was an absolute treat to be associated with this company and it’s people who basically have you covered in all respects of the journey.
So we happened to do the EBC & Gokyo Trek together and what a spectacular journey it was.
The sights, the hospitality, the kind natured Nepali people would make you feel so much at home that you could forget where you came from.
Our very knowledgable guide Ramesh Thapa and ever enthusiastic porter Chiring Marde were nothing short of the best in the business and meticulously took care of each minute detail in making our journey the most memorable one.
Trekking in Nepal for the first time would make you have a larger than life experience with all the breath taking sights around and surely would provide one a very humbling experience.
I would strongly recommend traveling just post the peak season which is the first fortnight of June for the most serene and almost private experience of trekking in Nepal.
The pretty meadows, the extremely beautiful flora, the sereneness of the place is something that you won’t experience during the trekking season, so this is highly recommended.
Although you would have to miss out on the best of accommodation options which are only open during season time.
That’s all from me and I hope this information is useful.
Happy & Safe Travels !

Seriously 5 stars from start to finish! Where do I begin... Madhav did such an amazing job planning the best trip with the amount of days we had, and he was super flexible with switching some up since our flight got changed by the airlines. He is also super fast with his responses which made us feel at ease the whole time. Sharan was our guide and he literally took care of everything from the moment we landed. He was so kind and accommodating for everything, and super knowledgeable about the area. Overall I could not have asked for a better experience, these guys are the best there is when it comes to visiting Nepal!

Sharan was our guide on the Manaslu Circuit trek in May 2022. I can’t speak more highly of Sharan and his company’s professionalism before, during, and after our trip. Not only did Sharan prioritize our safety throughout the trek, he went above and beyond to ensure we had the best cultural experience in the Manaslu region. Throughout our trek, we didn’t feel like clients, we felt like friends.
We will 100% be calling footprint adventures for our next Himalayan Trek and we HIGHLY recommend any visiting trekkers do the same!

Our Everest Base Camp Trek dream plan started 7 months ago and thru a friend he recommended to contact Footprint Adventure, this was followed by contacting Sharan and he answered all the questions we had and was very professional and was very patient and helpful, the itinerary he had for EBC was perfect for our needs and time , so we had very good communication prior to our arrival in Kathmandu Nepal.
Upon our arrival to Kathmandu we were greeted by our EBC guide Laxman , between him and Sharan they made sure everything was well coordinated ( hotel room, food , tour of city temples in Kathmandu etc.) we had a welcome dinner with Nepal food and traditional Nepal dancers.
Then we went to do the EBC Trek with flight to Lukla airport , and that started our adventure, our guide Laxman was excellent and helpful with explaining every step of the way , and giving us all the information about the villages , route, surrounding mountains and monastery and stupa and getting the permits along the way.
We had two acclimatization days , one in Namche Bazar and another in Dingboche , they helped a lot with the altitude , and our guide Laxman was always motivating us and very concerned about our health and nutrition and security, we are very grateful to Footprint Adventure, Sharan and our guide Laxman for making sure everything went smoothly and well and helping us complete our dream and accomplishing our mission to touch the rock at EBC , this trip was awesome and will be in our memories and harts for a lifetime.
We also want to express gratitude to our porters for EBC , and the very nice people we met along the way on the EBC Trek at the teahouses , they are lifesavers.
So Footprint Adventure will be well recommended to our friends and family , they are the best choice to help with EBC trek , Kathmandu tours in Nepal.

Highly recommend! Just returned from the Mardi Himal Yoga Trek, guided by Ashish. From start to finish we were looked after. We were picked up from our hotel in Kathmandu, taken down to Pokhara by bus (very comfortable!) and taken by jeep to the first camp. Ashish guided us up the mountain, keeping us motivated and pointing out all sorts of wildlife/mountain facts. He dealt with everything we needed at the camps, made sure we were comfortable and was so attentive the whole trip. Morning yoga ahead of the treks really helped get us ready for the hikes, followed by evening yoga/meditation and sound healing. He is a wonderful teacher! The most magical trip. I would recommend this company to anyone, especially if you also love yoga (or want to start!). 💫 Thank you Footprint Adventure (Sharan, Ashish and Saroj) for organising! 🙏

The trip to EBC was awesome. We did a classic route as the flights to Lukla was not functional because of bad weather. Our guides Ramesh and Dipak was very motivating and boosted our energy to trek 2more days just to reach Lukla. We did not have any complains as they were catering each and every need we had.
Our porters Shree dai, Tshering and Chiranjeevi was very friendly polite and caring. They did not even complain once because our luggage was heavier than we expected. They acted as junior guides and imparted knowledge of mountains to us, to the most extent they knew.
The weather God too was happy with us as our beloved guides took us for small detours every now and then and we visited most of the old monasteries and local attractions. They were not hesitant for extra work and did not just stick to the itinerary provided. They were our personal photographers too, and mind you they have captured some mind blowing snaps and videos of us which will forever be as a wonderful memory of our amazing trip.
Lastly, footprint was a very well organised organisation. We got our certificates, mugs and T-shirt at the end of our trek(EBC) customised, which was unexpected and beautiful. The staff and people were humble and polite.
Thank you footprint for the amazing journey of EBC that you helped us complete. I would surely look forward for future trips with you guys. Thank you Nepal and much love to Sagarmatha.

I recently completed the 15- days Everest base camp hike with Footprint Adventure . My guide Hari have so much knowledge about the Everest Region , and made sure we were able to fly out fast and safely when faced with changing weather conditions. My porter Raj handled my bag with care, always adding rain-cover to make sure everything is fine inside . Thank you so much Footprint Adventure for this amazing adventure. I will definitely go Island Peak Next year with this company.

From the very first moment when I met Madhav I felt in good hands and I trusted every word he said, rightly so as it turned out. Every question was almost immediately answered at any time. The footprint team consists of highly professional members, everyone being more than helpful, overwhelmingly friendly, passionate and making us feel home from home. Our guide Ramesh had a great knowledge of the mountains. Moreover he always looked after me. As being the slowest he never ever left my side. Chhiring, our admirable porter, was the strongest and fastest man around, always with a smile, never complaining. Next time, Chhiring, I promise, our duffle bag will be light😉. Speaking of which, there will definitely be a next time. I still can't find the right words to express what we've been experiencing. For me it was a long lived dream come true. Footprint adventures helps you to fulfill it by such great extent that you needn't worry about a single thing and I highly recommend to travel with - for me - the one and only agency.

I recently completed an Everest Base Camp with Footprint Travel and it was an amazing journey filled with many ups and downs (far more ups). Our journey initially ran into some hiccups because of poor weather at Ramechapp and Lukla. One of our guides, Ramesh Thapa, managed to find and organise an alternate means of getting us (and other groups) to the Everest Base Camp trail through a bus and an off-road Jeep ride.
Though there were initial problems with a lack of information of regarding what to expect from the trail going forward, this was resolved immediately once pointed out. The remaining trip, while challenging, had amazing views (when weather permitted) and an amazing friendship within a tight knit group (guides and other guests).
As a solo traveller, I was initially anxious about undertaking this trip but this was quickly resolved by Dipak Adhikari (our other guide) who recognised this and accompanied me throughout the trek and even after while exploring Kathmandu. He allowed me to feel comfortable and we exchanged stories and experiences about life in Nepal and Australia. It’s safe to say that I have a brother in Nepal for the rest of my life.
The organisation by Ramesh, Dipak, and the remaining Footprint was excellent despite the best efforts of inclement weather in the area during the first week. It was truly an unforgettable holiday and I look forward to returning to Nepal in a year or two to complete Gokyo and the 3 passes! 🏔️
