I went to Manaslu Trek with my girlfriend. HV Treks provided us with a guide, a plan, and a map. We couldn't have asked for any better. Wonderful views over dramatic valleys, immense glaciers, high altitude lakes, and a clulturally rich landscape. On top of this, we received the greatest support ever by our guide Daten Tamang during the challenging parts of our trip and even fun during those demanding moments. We definitely can't wait to take on another Himalayan adventure with HV Treks! Highly recommended!!

wonderful Trek to Tamang Heritage
I had a 10 days long trekking to Tamang village located at Langtang region of Rasuwa district of Nepal with my friend Monika Gurung who came recently from Sidney Australia. Tamang is one of the typical tribes of Nepal mostly inhabited around Kathmandu valley. But Tamang village of Langtang region is not fully influenced by out side world. They still maintained their originality in many aspect of their life. Mostly women ware clothes woven by themselves. Their life is influenced by Tibetan Buddhist culture. I must thank to Daten Tamang our friendly and well experienced guide. Sceneries are such a beautiful I felt, if I were in heaven.

In 2019 I organised for a tiny group of friends trekking around Manaslu. Because the guide was obligatory there, Pramin working for hvtreks was with us as a guide. We hardly could have a better one ! Always helpful and nice, he knew perfectly the area and he always reccommended the optimal accommodation along the trek. After this experience I logically ask Palsang (hvtreks) for help when oraanising another visit to Nepal, this time to Langtang/Gosainkund. We had another guide Datim - the same quality one as 4 years before. The porters were excellent too. The prices for all services were reasonable. Palsang also arranged all necessary permits, transfers, ... The stay at his Home Stay in Kathmandu made us feeling as at home and we were looking forward to stay there again after the end of the trek.

Our overall experience with this company was nothing but positive. Excellent and reliable staff, kind and service-minded. We felt safe and in good hands during our trip in Nepal. The guide was an excellent companion and helped us connect with the locals we met on our trip.

Did a 13 day circuit trek on the Manaslu trail with my boyfriend. We couldn't have done it without the great support of our guide Datem Tamang! We met the most incredible people living in the mountain villages, learned a lot about the culture, ate delicious food and woke up everyday to the most amazing views. I would definitely recommend.

We had a 3 week long tent-trek i Ganesh Himal 2012. For 13 friends between 18-78! Difficult pathways between small villages the 40 carriers and guides supported us securely through the fabulous landscapes.

Great guides, beautiful nature and very friendly staff all the way! My best friend and I went on the Ghorepani - Poonhill trek and had an overall great experience, despite some sickness along the way. Our guides were so helpfull and made sure we didn't need anything and that we made the most of our time in Nepal! They helped us plan day trips when we weren't trekking, and even took us to see their own, local village which was an amazing experience! I highly recommend Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition and will definitely use them again if I am planning a trip to Nepal!

We were in Nepal late summer 2015. It was a very trip arranged by Magical Himalaya and Himalayan Vacation. Going to ABC, Poon Hill, Pokkara, Bhaktabur and off cource Kathmandu. I was a very nice trip, they were taking good care of us and even with lack off gasolin they managed all challenges in the best way. My best recommendations.

We are based in Brussels but we recently lived in Kathmandu for three years while on a diplomatic mission for the EU. We went to Nepal with our three children (10, 12, 14) looking for adventurous trips and expeditions. Palsang Tamang and his team helped us realised this dream by guiding us and taking care of us in Everest, Annapurna, Mustang, Helambu, Lumbini, Chitwan and many other amaising places. We highly recommend the hvtreks agency for their competence, skills, care and humanity! You will be in safe hands!

During our online contact the manager of HVTE got so very indiscretely close and personal, I had to block him.
This does not encourage booking.
I think I will skip and avoid this company and wish the future female travellers good luck and great wisdom in dealing with this.

We at HV Treks are confused by this review. Apparently, this woman and HV Treks' Palsang have had a Facebook friendship. Palsang's English is limited and we understand she has misunderstood his friendship. She has never been to Nepal, nor met Palsang. The review is flip and unfounded. Over decades, Palsang, among our many guides, has guided treks for hundreds of visitors, including hundreds of women. We at HV Treks know Palsang as professional, helpful, and in no way inappropriate nor a philanderer.
