Working with Magical Nepal to organize and run our 15 day trek through the Tsum Valley was seamless in all areas. First, after filling out an online questionnaire about potential trips Pradeep was incredibly responsive answering all my questions (difficulty, price, etc.) and provided me with numerous suggestions based on my needs for finding a trip that would work for our family. Pradeep not only responded by email but also connected via WhatsApp (he speaks excellent English). Again, always quick to respond and very straight forward. He was happy to help with travel arrangements outside of our tour (which he did and we were very thankful) but was not pushing us in any direction at all, just helping out however he could. Once we settled in on our trip we booked it with him and he continued to answer questions as the date approached.

When we arrived to Kathmandu, Prakash (our guide) was waiting for us outside the airport. This was incredibly nice as we had a very long flight and navigating to our hotel would have been difficult for us to say the least. The drive to our hotel was our first experience in Kathmandu which was a fun adventure. Prakash helped us get settled into our hotel and took us to the Magical Nepal Offices to get permits etc. Seamless.

Prakash coordinated all of our travel via bus to the trek and then spent the entire time with us. He is an incredibly skilled and knowledgable individual on all fronts and could not have done a better job, truly. Because he is such an experienced guide, he knows people in all the villages and was constantly talking with locals on the trail to get information on trail conditions etc. He was so welcoming and friendly and we often ended up eating in the kitchens of our hosts, which was truly a very unique experience for us. Everyone was so welcoming and Prakash and our two INCREDIBLE porters (Rajesh and Ramkrishna) made our trip. The hike itself was amazing; however, we saw and experienced so much more because of Magical Nepal and their dedicated and talented staff. The cultural experience was certainly something that will shape our lives and Prakash went out of his way to provide those opportunities to us. The Tsum Valley was incredible.

I can't say enough about the professionalism, kindness, and sincerity that we were shown. I highly recommend Magical Nepal and, if you can, suggest that you request Prakash as your guide - you will be happy you did. If you are interested in visiting Nepal, reach out to Pradeep.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 girls aged 7 and 10 and love to travel. We contacted many agencies as travelling during covid is not easy especially getting approvals for hike in a foreign country, but let me tell you no one can come close to how well organised and personal Magical Nepal made this trip for us.
Pradeep was our point of contact and made sure we had all the necessary documents before arrival. From our arrival at airport to getting us a really good driver (you need that as travelling from katmandu to the mountains takes time) to our hotels and our trek guide Prakash. Everything was PERFECT.
We had the best 10 days in Nepal thanks to Magical Nepal. Prakash our guide helped us with not only keeping us calm and making sure we finished our daily trek of 8 hours but also looked after our comfort. From food, to stay in the small tea houses, to celebrating our little ones 8th brithday at Ghorepani and being our part time photographer. He was very helpful and patient. Sunil our porter was also very helpful and accomodating to our needs.
We highly recommend Magical Nepal for any future trips and have already started planning our next trip with them. Once you leave the mountains they call you back!

This was our first time in Nepal and as we are not people who trek much at all, we chose to book with Magical Nepal based on all their excellent reviews. We did the Langtang Valley trek, 8 days total with 6 days of trekking. Communication was clear and professional from the outset, and we felt reassured before we left that we were in safe hands and wouldn't have to decipher and possibly risk choosing from the multitude of trekking agencies in Kathmandu. The time this saves should not be underestimated too; more hours for you to explore the city once you arrive!
We were greeted at the airport and taken to our hotel by a representative which was a really nice touch, and the next day we met Pradeep and our guide Dil in the city to discuss the trip together, ask any questions and stock up on recommended gear etc. before we left the following morning – really helpful. Dil Man was a fantastic guide from the beginning, speaking excellent English, managing all our travel to and from Kathmandu whilst ensuring we were well fed and comfortable along the way. On the trek itself his balance of setting the pace, giving us time and space, and sharing in nice conversations and jokes was a pleasure. Special shout out to his thermos flask tea and cookie stops, and fresh fruit after dinner! The amount of walking and climbing was definitely challenging but his approach was always encouraging and attentive, keeping a keen eye on us as we headed up into the altitude and checking we were okay. His accommodation choices were all great and we appreciated the private bathroom facilities as we got further into the walk / higher up and chillier – he is also a 'foodie' so would consider places with good home cooking too, meaning we ate very well. Having a guide was really the best decision we made to make this first trek smooth, learn about Nepal from a local and feel safe. If you're choosing amongst the treks, we can definitely recommend Langtang as a challenging and beautiful route – I believe it's a more off-the-beaten-track and truly remote route compared to Annapurna for example, all whilst helping the communities affected by the earthquake. The variety of scenery is incredible and the 2 night stay in Kyanjin right next to the Langtang mountains is simply incredible. Part of the bus ride to Syrapru Besi is a bit of an endurance test but well worth it! We wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Magical Nepal team, and thank you Dil for all the laughs, dal bhat and omelette chapatis :)

We had an incredible time on the Manaslu circuit. The scenery was awesome and the paths very quiet. The region has such variety; from the rhododendron forests to the snowy peaks higher up. Our guide, KP, is very experienced and knowledgeable and helped explain the culture and customs of the people there along the way as well as our natural surroundings. Our group was varied in terms of hiking experience and he did a great job of keeping us all together and accommodating everyone’s needs. Magical Nepal helped arrange the entire trip from airport pick up to drop off. Pradeep explained the details of the trip on the first night of arrival and he and KP took us all out for a final dinner in Kathmandu with dancing and delicious food. They took great care of us and I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking to explore the area. Manaslu still feels remote and unexplored - it’s the perfect hike if you’re looking for a real adventure.

Thank you for leaving such a detailed & positive feedback. I’m sure many trekkers would want to explore Manaslu after reading your review. Nepal has a lot more to offer besides popular trekking paths. We look forward to seeing again for more adventures soon. Best regards

Magical Nepal was recommended to me by a very satisfied couple who had recently completed EBC trek with me (solo traveller). With so many companies in Kathmandu, it can be difficult to choose the right one to see you safely around the Manaslu Circuit.
From the beginning, communication with Pradeep was very easy, and I was quickly convinced that I was in good hands for the challenging Manaslu trek which had been on my bucket list for a long time. This is my third trip to Nepal and I've used some other companies previously but not always had the best experience. This time was definitely great.
Following a briefing with the group in Kathmandu, we had an early morning pick-up by the Guide, Mitra, the next morning. From the beginning, it was evident that Mitra was attentive and keen to make sure we had a good experience.
This is a challenging trek, and best suited to those with a good level of fitness. Mitra and Mila (porter), always prioritised our care and wellbeing. They worked hard to ensure our needs were met and proved to be excellent travelling companions. Some days were very long and tiring, however, you could always rely on Mitra to provide a smile and words of encouragement when the going got tough. Mila went over and above in fulfilling his duties, even getting up to the Tibet border in very poor weather wearing only flip-flops!
The weather was also extremely bad on the day for the Pass (blizzard, wind chill, snow drifts, digging out a track to follow), however after a gruelling 11 hours, the whole group of 8 persons made it safely down to the very welcoming lodge. Once again, Mitra made sure everyone was OK, we had hot food and showers and warmed up as we sat around a hot stove, being grateful to have got this far.
The last couple of days saw blue skies as we headed down to Tilche to get the 4-hour jeep ride back to Besisahar. From there we had a further 7.5 hours back to Kathmandu in a private minibus which we paid for.
Overall, this was an amazing trip, one that will stay in my memory forever. It was all I hoped for and more, stunning scenery, beautiful landscapes and some of the warmest people you will meet. Thank you Magical Nepal for helping me to have this experience.

Hiking is quite a new thing in my life and thanks to the Everest Base Camp Trek experience, it is turning into a passion. It taught me lots of lessons about nature, about local people's lives and culture and about myself.
Originally I was going to do the trek in 12 days, but finally we made it in 10 days with my guide, Bishow. He is very thoughtful, helpful and flexible regarding the needs of his clients, so it was easy and fun to cooperate with him.
I also felt very safe and comfortable from the first time I met Pradeep, co-founder of Magical Nepal. Anytime I had a question he was always there to help me straight away. Excellent communication and service, highly recommended!
I will upload a video on YouTube and will insert the link here later, so that you have an idea what a fantastic adventure it was.
Namaste!

We had amazing time walking the Manaslu trek in April. During the walk one climbs slowly from lowlands up to the Larke pass in 5100 meters and the countryside gradually changes whole the time! It is fantastic to watch the diversity – at first it is hot and you are surrounded by green and fertile valleys and only a few days later you find yourself in beautiful Tibetian villages located on the foothills of Himalayan giants covered in snow. We chose Magical Nepal company to guide us through this fantastic trek and it was absolutely win the lottery choice! Compared to other companies, our guide was young, energetic and, most of all, spoke very good English. That’s not common at all. Thanks to him, we got known so much about Nepal. He recommended secret spots to visit, was flexible in planning, gave great hints for picture taking and always knew what to do. In general the company provided good accommodation and ensure we always got a great food with self-prepared evening desert. Once a chief was accidentally missing in the hotel, so the guide took his role and prepared very delicious food. Finally Magic Nepal does not care about you only on the Circuit – but helps you also to find an accommodation in Kathmandu and provide some entertainment too. Normally I am not a fan of organized trips, but I must admit, thanks to Magic Nepal, the trip turned into really magic adventure, that we enjoyed so much!

I was skeptical when I first contacted Magical Nepal via their online contact us page for their 3 Days 2 nights Chisopani / Nagagot trek. First, I made a last minute enquiry 2 days before my plan trek and I was not confident that I will get a reply, but Magical Nepal surprise me when they contacted me within 12 hours. Secondly, I am a blind, overweight and at 50 years old, I am not confident that there will be an agency who is brave to take on a customer like me whose last trekking experience was more than 20 years ago. Magical Nepal surprise me again when Pradeep replied that though they have no experience with a client profile like me but they will try their best to make it possible for me and even suggest a non-obligatory meet up at my hotel to understand my needs. Magical Nepal assigned a very good trekking guide - Mr Narayan Waiba who is superb as he is observant, patience, problem solver and accomodating. Overall, I am so grateful for Magical Nepal and Mr Narayan Waiba as if it is not for them, I would have left Nepal without a trekking experience I would strongly recommend Magical Nepal for anyone who is seeking a responsible and inclusive agency who see their customer's needs first before their ability/disability. Thank You.

Myself and my dad had an amazing experience with Magical Nepal. Pradeep couldn’t have been more helpful in answering questions about the trek and our guide Mitra was always smiling and happy to help whilst on our trek. I would highly recommend them for future treks.

Before choosing which trek to undertake Pradeep was brilliant at answering all my questions about which would suit our needs best. We went with the Langtang Valley trek, a 8 day trip with 6 days trekking. Pradeep set up a telephone call to go through all my packing queries before leaving the UK which was really helpful. He told me what I needed to bring and what could easily be bought/hired once in Kathmandu. He also gave a great recommendation of where to stay (DOM Himalaya) and how to get a sim card (which worked well most of the way on the trek).

The day before the trek we met up with our guide Mitra at the Magical Nepal office in the Thamel area of Kathmandu. This offered a great chance to get to know our guide a little, find out more about what to expect and answer any last minute questions before the trek. After this Mitra took us to an outdoors shop and helped pick out the remaining equipment we needed to buy/rent. This was really useful as there are so many shops and we wouldn’t have know which one to use/trust. Mitra also have great advice on which equipment would be suitable for the trek.

Getting to the Langtang Valley is an experience! The bus to Langtang in quite long and bumpy. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather but overall a great way to see the country and get into the swing of things. On the trek Mitra answered all our questions and kept checking in to make sure we were okay for food/water/breaks. We knew going in early September would be a risk with the weather and we had cloudy conditions for the first few days but our luck changed and we got some amazing views for our day to the summit (despite clouds at the top). The tea houses were mostly clean and comfortable offering food and drinks in a warm and dry environment. Mitra was always in hand to help with the food and always bought extra snacks for us which was much appreciated! Some time to relax after a long days hiking and to get to know our guide more was really nice too.

We opted for the private shuttle back at the end of the trek as we had to make a flight that evening. This was a few hours faster than the bus and more peaceful. Mitra took us out for one last lunch and made sure we got back safely. Pradeep himself dropped me off to the airport which was really nice and a great way to end the trip meeting the man himself.

Once again I couldn’t recommend Magical Nepal more for a trek in Nepal and those looking for a trek close to Kathmandu Langtang was a great one. I want to thank Pradeep once more and also Mitra for making our trip so memorable, it was an experience me and my dad will never forget!!

From our first email to Deepak inquiring about Nepal, he looked after our every need. Quick and detailed responses with some great ideas we haven't thought of and extra things to do and places to visit before and after our trek.

On arrival we were met by Deepak and Karna and that care and help continued.

Karna was superb, he guided us through the Manaslu trek and was so much fun to spare the experience with and was very generous sharing his knowledge of the mountains and the area. I cant recommend them and magical nepal enough.

Thank you for an amazing trip Deepak and Karna
