Hiking is quite a new thing in my life and thanks to the Everest Base Camp Trek experience, it is turning into a passion. It taught me lots of lessons about nature, about local people's lives and culture and about myself. Originally I was going to do the trek in 12 days, but finally we made it in 10 days with my guide, Bishow. He is very thoughtful, helpful and flexible regarding the needs of his clients, so it was easy and fun to cooperate with him. I also felt very safe and comfortable from the first time I met Pradeep, co-founder of Magical Nepal. Anytime I had a question he was always there to help me straight away. Excellent communication and service, highly recommended! I will upload a video on YouTube and will insert the link here later, so that you have an idea what a fantastic adventure it was. Namaste!

Everything about this experience was perfect; from my first email to Pradeep inquiring about a trip, to our final day in Nepal. Pradeep was excellent to deal with. He responded to all my emails promptly, answered all my questions thoroughly, and even made last minute accommodations for us when we had to cut our trip short by 2 days. We were met at the airport in Kathmandu by our trekking guide, Krishna and our driver who expertly drove through crazy Kathmandu traffic and safely got us to our hotel in a quiet part of the city. There, we were warmly met by Pradeep, who made sure everything was in order; and the hotel staff, who held some of our bags while we repacked what was needed for our 3 days in the mountains. A delicious dinner at a nearby restaurant (where we had our first taste of dahl baht), and an early night awaited us since we were catching a 6:30 am flight the following day to Pokhara. We were greeted by a new driver once we landed in Pokhara, who drove us 3 hours up to Ulleri where lunch, and our 2 porters, Govindra and Gokarna waited. After lunch, our adventure started, with an upward climb to Ghorepani. Govindra and Gokarna easily split our 40kg between themselves and promptly started the 4-5 hour trek with the extra weight. Krishna made sure we were ready, and stopped whenever we needed to. He answered questions, and provided extra information whenever it was needed. It was really nice having him with us, as he was the one to worry about proper paperwork, when to pay fees, and where we were going to eat and spend the night. All we had to worry about was getting ourselves where we had to go! And that really was the tone of this entire trip - Magical Nepal did everything they could to make sure we had no worries. From start to finish, everything was thought of. Each day’s hike was a reasonable distance, the guest houses were comfortable and ready with delicious food, and Krishna was there to take care of every need we had (and to take family photos whenever we wanted!).

What a special time and great VFM... Beautiful and challenging trek, was prefect for what I needed.. Chundra was my guide, the language barrier could sometimes be tricky but I couldn't fault his care, guidance and patience. I trusted him implicitly and would recommend him. Also, when I was suffering with altitude sickness and had to get down the mountain fairly quickly, I'm so glad he was there to help on the slips and trips... Word of advice if you live at sea level though, either do some altitude training before coming or choose a trek that ascends more gradually as the Langtang Valley, although fantastic does ascend far quicker than the recommended rate. That said, for price and off the beaten track experience in a short space of time, it really was a memorable trip. The site of Dorje Lapkas 7000m white summit will stock with me for a long time.. Just tear jerkingly beautiful ❤️

My husband and I have just completed the 8 day Langtang Valley trek. My husband made all the arrangements directly with the company. When we arrived at our hotel well after midnight (our flight had been delayed), we were met by someone who kindly went through the itinerary for our trip. We have both done some treks previously and had chosen to carry our own bags which we did again this time. I found trekking in the snow with a heavy bag challenging on one particular day. Our guide Arjun was so patient and even offered to carry some of things in his bag! He let me use some snow chains on my shoes which made a massive difference! The length of time trekking was good balance. There were regular stops at teahouses which provide a surprising amount of food choices (including vegetarian options) - I would recommend Dal Bhat or Tibetan bread with yak cheese. I also enjoyed sitting by the fire in the teahouses at the end of the day reflecting on the day's trek. Part way through the trek, our itinerary changed in response to the weather; we had intended to go up Tserko Ri but our knowledgeable guide Arjun had reports of heavy snow the next day and for our safety gave us the option to complete an afternoon trek part of the way up that day. The views were amazing! This led to us having the option of completing the trek in 2 days with a day in Kathmandu or completing it in 3. Again, Arjun was very patient when we were being indecisive and also helpful and further tweaked our itinerary returning via Sherpagon so we had some great views. This was my favourite teahouse; great views and rooms with an attached shower and toilet. You can buy bottled water, toilet paper and snacks at teahouses. If you come during the winter, you should bring layers and could bring a sleeping bag. We brought thermals, hat, gloves and a down jacket and at one or two teahouses I was a little cold. Our guide Arjun sourced us extra blankets which was grately appreciated and helped keep us warm during the night. At some of the teahouses, the pipes had frozen which meant the only option for a shower was using a bucket of water. Not a major problem, but perhaps good to know in advance? Our return flight from Kathmandu was at 11:30pm. We arrived back in Kathmandu in the afternoon and had a few hours to explore Kathmandu. Arjun kindly arranged for us to leave our bags at a hotel instead of carrying them around with us and then showed us around Thamel. I also loved the farewell meal experience - more great Nepalese food. Even though visiting Kathmandu wasn't part of our itinerary, I feel like we had enough time to get a different view of Nepal. I would definitely recommend using Magical Nepal whether for a trek or a tour (I joined TripAdvisor to give them a review because they were that good)
