12 Days Mount Everest Base Camp Trekking from Kathmandu

Everest Base Camp Trekking has been a popular destination for trekkers since the very first expeditions to the Nepalese side of Everest in the 1953. To reach this part of the Himalaya within a limited time, we have devised this two week trek to Everest Base Camp which runs directly to and from Lukla.

The Everest Base Camp trek, a very well known mountain trek, starts at the upper Phakding and follows the Dudh Kosi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche, a bustling bazaar that’s a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions en route to the mighty Mt. Everest. All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a long, long time.

Everest Sightseeing Flight in Nepal

One of the world's most exclusive tours (Everest Experience Flight or Everest mountain Flights). Can the magic of flight ever be carried by words? “Why do you want to climb the Everest?” was the question which prompted the now world famous quip,“because it’s there!”  We have for decades tried to comprehend what it is that drives men to push themselves to the limits of their physical and mental endurance. Many have tried but failed to summit the Everest, the highest peak in the world. It has been the exclusive realm of a select breed of mountaineers, always inaccessible to other mortals. The Everest Express, one of the world’s most exclusive tours, is a lifetime experience. A flight that takes you deep into the Himalayas, flying into valleys close to the rock face, as close as five nautical miles from the Everest itself. Now you can see the stunning beauty of nature; raw, undiluted and truly majestic.

I just returned from my fantastic trip to Everest base camp by helicopter. It was a wonderful experience. I booked a group joining helicopter tour as private trip was out of my budget. I enjoyed the company with other passenger of the flight. We chat a lot while waiting for the flight and had a lovely breakfast together at Hotel Everest view. The booking process was very easy and the company contacts me just right after I made the booking. They provide the very helpful tips before going on the flight. While we flew to Lukla, the weather on the way was not good and worried, we may not see the mountains, but when we go higher locations, the weather become more clear and clear. The landing in Kalapattar was amazing experience. We saw the many mountains including Mount Everest just in front of us which were unbelievable experience. If you are visiting Nepal and want to see the Himalayas, nothing can be better then Everest base camp helicopter tour. Highly highly recommended.

Arriving at Kathmandu International Airport at 4.30am was painful, as was the $130.00 airfare! Yet, after we were all strapped into our seats in the twin-engine 26 seater aircraft, we were soon up and away before the daily mist, fog and smog descended upon Kathmandu Airport. Excitement was already setting-in as we passed many snow-topped mountains on the way to the last mountain, which was Everest. It was an amazing early morning trip, worth far more than the asking price! Visibility was fantastic; information on the mountains we passed was excellent; and whilst aboard the flight attendants serve lemonade and little sweets. Believe me; if you have an extra few dollars to spend, this is as close as you will get to Mount Everest for just $130.00!!!! I would recommend this trip to anyone as this was an astonishing experience which you will never forget! But don’t forget …. you have to be at the airport at 4.30am!! If you can manage this, you won’t be disappointed! I believe most travel agents in Kathmandu provide this service and can book you a seat for a small fee. We did several flights whilst in Nepal and the system appears to be; the more you pay for your ticket the more you are guaranteed a seat! Beware!! Some agents will tell you your flight is full (perhaps for the next few days!) and then charge you extra to get you a flight that day when the flight wasn’t full at all!! Sad as it may appear, some Nepalese sleep at the airport for days waiting to get their cheap flight back to their village/home. If you find this review helpful please give a ‘Helpful Vote’.
