Amazing experience in ABC plus Poon Hill! A must do for trekker beginner!
In October 2022 my friend and I went to Nepal for EBC + Gokyo lake trek within 15 days. It is a customised itinerary by Lal from Nepal Intrepid Treks and Expedition. He was very responsive in answering our questions and different requests so as to make our trip a memorable one. It was a good start before the trip.
Unfortunately we were two of the 2000 tourists stuck in Manthali due to bad weather in Lukla. During the 2-day wait, our trekking guide, Navin, tried very hard to fine alternatives to bring us to Lukla but eventually due to safety concern we decided last minute to change our trek to ABC + Poon Hill. With the agile rearrangment, we finally started our trek on Day3. A very memorable experience with Navin, who is an experienced trekking guide with fluent english. He is very polite and took very good care of us (esp. the essential fruits everyday after dinner to keep us healthy). Navin is knowledgeable in explaining not only the mountain but about Nepal. He was also detail-minded in observing our trekking speed and encouraging us along the way. Very happy to have Navin to be our trekking guide and would definitely recommend him to any trekkers who wanna do trekking in Nepal.

I participated in the Nepal ABC hiking activity organized by Taiwan WILDMAN Travel Agency on 2023/03/31~04/11. The local Kamal gurung guide led their team to serve our itinerary. The board and lodging arranged was very satisfactory and the service was considerate and thoughtful. They led us safely through this beautiful itinerary and left a very good impression! The most touching thing is... Kamal gurung arrived at the destination very patiently and hand in hand with teammates who were lagging behind, without any complaints! So next time I have the opportunity to visit Nepal again, I would like to travel with Kamal gurung again! I would like to express my gratitude for this article! Thanks! Namaste! An exceptional trekking experience to EBC &Gokyo Lake from 14 to 28 Sept 2024.
Special thanks to our professional mountain guide Surya, who demonstrated profound knowledge about landscape and mountains. Surya was very observant and guided us thru the to do’s and don’ts to avoid AMS. Excellent choice of accommodation with above average quality of food, hygiene and facilities. A big thank you to Surya - it has been a lot of fun in our trip!
It is my second trek in Nepal and I would strongly recommend Nepal Intrepid to those who are looking for a safe, reliable agent to guide you thru for an exceptional experience.

Such an amazing experience!!! This is one of those life changing events. Nepal Intrepid Treks is the perfect company to take the hassle out of everything. From the Airport, Hotel Lodging at the tea houses and EVERYTHING in between! Our guide Kamal was amazing!! He speaks perfect english and explained the next day's adventure perfectly. He gave us invaluable insight about our thoughts/ mental health and made everything happen magically. The porters always had a smile and we felt like a well oiled machine. If I ever do anything like this again Nepal Intrepid Treks is the company hands down to choose.

I have heard for a long time that Nepal is a hiking paradise. Finally, I have the opportunity to participate in the EBC+GOKYO October hiking. The professional team makes people feel warm and safe. If you also want to see this beautiful and moving cultural landscape, this travel company is definitely a good choice.

I dont know where to Start. There are barely any bad points to talk about. The
service was exceptional and everbody was so polite and friendly. Everything was well organized. The places we used to rest and eat where always nice and clean. The employees and shepards where dedicated for their jobs and tried to accomplish our goals in the best way possible. I want to send my best wishes Lal, Ram, Tulla and Santos.

I took a 4 day hike to Mardi Himal while on a family trip to Nepal. I wasn’t sure of the route at first. It turned out to be best decision. The upclose view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Fishtail was unbelievable, & out of this world. We stayed at Badal Danda for couple of nights which provided the 360 view of the mountains on the north and pokhara valley, poonhill area on the south. You could do the hike 2-3 days but if you really want to soak in the views and get mesmerized by it, you might take the full 4-5 days route.
Intrepid guide Suman Gurung was a real professional. He really understood the route and had great connections with the locals which made the trek extra special. Suman bhai brought a calm demeanor, encouraging & supportive attitude when I was struggling a bit during few uphill hike. Overall, I really enjoyed the hike and doing it with Suman bhai made this trip a memorable one. I would recommend Intrepid team and this route to any beginner looking to explore what Himalayas has to offer.

They were very accommodating. We requested a few last minute changes and they were handled well. The biggest highlight was our guide Kumar. For a private EBC trek the guide is the most important factor in a happy successful trip. Especially during peak season. Kumar handled several common EBC issues and coached us up the mountain successfully. We also want to recommend our porter Deebee. He was amazing! Thanks Kumar.

The guides were excellent.
So I can’t fault them for that
Putting the bad review so people don’t make the same mistake I did with paying the extra $125 for your own room. My hostel was nicer than there hotel choice. But they don’t mention you’ll only be in it for a few hours the first night, as you leave early for the airport. Then if your return flight is cancelled you don’t get refunded for it. $125 is expensive for Kathmandu

Could you please double-check the name of the company you traveled with? I'm confident that you didn't travel with us. Please verify where you traveled from. It's possible that you mixed up similar names. But it's important to confirm before making any claims. Otherwise, I may need to report this to TripAdvisor for a false claim. It’s my first time hiking in Nepal (ABC) and the scenery is breathtaking! We’re so lucky to have Kumal as our guide, his expertise, attention to details and caring for group members made this trip much more smoother. I highly recommend everyone to join this trip!
