During a 17 days trek, we visited numerous old monastries and strolled through breathtaking landscapes, mostly in the Upper Mustang. Is's a totally different world.
In Lo Manthang we joined a three days festival! Unique.
We slept in lodges, sometimes basic, we always had a warm shower. Recommended above camping: less stuff, flexibel, you meet local people who sometimes show local culture (dance, music).
Cchiree really is a great guide, he knows a lot, good commmunicator, high focus on his clients. Highly recommended!

Thanks Sonam for guiding us this special journey. Their wonderful hospitality and thoughtful arrangement made our experience truly unforgettable. We appreciate all the effort they have put into making this trip so joyful. Though the weather was unfavorable, they still managed to bring so much joy and fun into the journey. Sonam was very resourceful and knowledgeable. His sharing of experiences and stories added immense value to our exploration of the beauty of Nepal and the Sherpa culture. Visiting his home at the end of this trip was a nice surprise and special experience for us all. We are grateful for the memories we created together under their care.

We had a wonderful trekking with Chhiree from Best Nepal Trekking. This was our second time with Best Nepal Trekking. First we did the Pikey Peak and this time the Mardi Himal. The both trekkings were beautiful. Chhiree is a natural leader who takes good care of everybody in the group. He is a very sensitive, kind and has a good sense of humor. Chhiree also knows a lot about the surrounding. He and is team had a nice athmosphere. Everybody was helpfull and kind.

Walked the UpperMustang (have it connected to the Annapurna circuit)
Have walked about a month with Guide and 2 porters. Very professional; well organized, before and during the walk.
Attention to condition and safety.
In addition, a lot of knowledge about landscape and culture.
In short: top weeks; have the experience that we formed a team with the 7’s (including Guide and porters)!

Last year we walked the Great Himalaya Trail together. This year Upper Mustang. Again a wonderful experience.

During my time in Nepal I had the pleasure of being guided by both Chhiree, on a small section of the Great Himalayan Trail, and Sonam while in Kathmandu. They went above and beyond to make sure the trip went smoothly, always able to sort any problem - where without them we would have been lost! Their expert knowledge and personal touch made it the trip of a lifetime. If you want to experience the real Nepal with unforgettable experiences, Best Nepal Trekking should be your first choice!

Sonam was a wonderful tour guide that was incredibly accommodating which was much appreciated as I was traveling with my 73 year old grandmother that needs a bit of extra help.HIGHLY recommended.

A year before our trek my grandson invited me to go to Nepal knowing that this was a lifelong dream for me. With so much information available online, we were at a loss until learning about Sonam Sherpa from friends who had trekked with him. Sonam responded quickly to our inquiries and, with his excellent English, made communicating easy. He suggested itineraries for us based on our input and modified BNT's Lower Everest trek to include visiting Buddhist monasteries as we asked. Our hotel in Kathmandu was in the Thamel (not Sonam's first choice) but the accommodations were first-class, the hotel staff was courteous and helpful, and we enjoyed the vibrancy of the Thamel. Sonam and our porter Pashon were knowledgeable and efficient taking care of our every need . Sonam's good judgement led to my riding a jeep on three trek days which was as exciting as walking the trails. He continued with my grandson even going to his native village and having the good fortune of visiting a monastery during a high festival day. Staying in the guest houses was an unforgettable experience of truly partaking with a different culture and the friendly, warm Nepalese. Sonam also suggested highlights for us to visit while in Kathmandu (Bhaktapur, Boudhhanath, Swayambhunath) and even arranged for our taxis. The trek was more difficult than I anticipated based on my previous hiking experience. Still I enjoyed every day and wholeheartedly recommend Sonam and his company .

My husband and I went trekking in Nepal with Sonam in Oct/Nov 2016. We had a great trip. Sonam took very good care of us. He taught us some Buddhist traditions along the way. One of my favorite days was going to the monastery where the daughter of the 100 year old monk lived. The scenery was fabulous and he pointed out the various mountains and glaciers along the way. WE stayed in a variety of tea houses which he arranged for us. We really enjoyed trying different foods. Sonam was very encouraging, friendly and funny. We very much enjoyed having him as our guide. He also arranged a porter to help with our bags. I would certainly recommend him to others for their trek and have done so with friends in NC. Judy Seago
