I am posting this very late but I have just come across my previous communication with the company which reminded me that I had forgotten to review. I did so much research before our trip, we travel a lot and understand the importance of choosing the right company to make the experience perfect but also to ensure that the company support the local community. Kisan and the company had such good reviews and we're also personally recommended by a friend that we chose them. Right up until the day before the trip Kisan said that he would be our guide, we looked forward to learning so much from him as such an experienced guide. At the last minute he was unable to take us and we were sent with another guide. The guide we were sent instead was very nice, he was pleasant and helpful but it quickly became clear that he lacked the confidence and experience to bring the trip alive for us. We saw other guides chatting with their clients and pointing out interesting things. Our guide spent most of the time just chatting in Nepali with the porter and playing music on their phones, he often ignored us for hours at a time. We tried to engage him in conversation, he would answer our questions but then go back to chatting with the porter. We felt that we missed out on learning about Nepali culture and nature. We wanted to hear about the locals who greeted us and find out the history behind the villages we were passing through,we know how a good guide makes a trip. We suspected that he was more used to being a second guide or a porter rather than the main guide. When we got back to Kathmandu this was confirmed by a quick check on TripAdvisor in which our guide was mentioned several times as a secondary guide or porter but never as the main guide. I challenged this with the company, I didn't expect anything and knew it wouldn't change anything but hoped they would perhaps just apologise and learn from my feedback. Messages went back and forth in which I was told he was a qualified guide, I asked several times how much experience he'd had but the question was avoided. This reaction was really disappointing, after a long exchange of messages I got some kind of apology but it was really too late and left a sour taste to be honest. I'm sure that with one of the more experienced guides we would have had a different experience, as most other customers have, but we can only go on our experience. These types of holidays are once in a lifetime and I'm afraid that we felt that ours was a bit of a missed opportunity to be blown away by the beauty and culture.

Namaste Amir. Thanks for organizing our climbing of Island Peak 6.189 m. Everything was well organized and if we had any questions they where answered quick and good. Our Sherpa Pemba was really kind and experienced. With his help we climbed the Island Peak for sunrise, which was an incredible experience. Thanks a lot. Also the nepali farewell dinner afterwards was delicious and interesting. Greetings

Namaste Amir. We had the best organization for climbing island peak. Even without trekking with a guide before everthing for the climb went perfect. Our Sherpa Pemba was really experienced and with help we managed to climb the summit for sunrise. The farewell dinner was so delicious. Greetings from the young boy who ate so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Many thanks to Mr. Amir Adhikari for a welcome garland of marigold upon arrival. On that first day we are already assured of a welcoming, friendly, caring, and fun-filled trip throughout. The tour was well-planned, bringing us to several Buddhist and Hindu temples, included in UNESCO Heritage List. Let us also experience the beauty of nature - watching the sunrise over the Himalayas, see the Devi's Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, boat ride in Phewa Lake. Appreciated the most of our tour operator, is taking us to a friend's place, stayed with us until late in the evening, and to a catholic church - Lady of Assumption Church in Kathmandu though not included in the package. Indeed a very accommodating tour agency and thank you Amir, even if we were not able to attend the mass, we were also blessed by Father Richard, the parish priest. I recommend to get Amir's company when you visit Nepal for would really try to fulfill your request. . .
