This trip was a life changing experience and, whilst I could babble on about the beauty of the Himalayas, I'd like to focus here on Passang our guide, our assistant guides and porters, and generally the whole Sherpa holidays set-up.

Quite simply, I can't imagine what more reassuring, kind and knowledgeable hospitality would look like. We were completely looked after and made to feel so welcome from the moment we landed in Kathmandu. Passang and his team had unparalleled knowledge of the area and tailored the trip to suit the specific wants of our group, ensuring we got everything from the trip we wanted and a lot mote besides.

If you're thinking of a trek in the Himalayas. Do it, and do it with Sherpa holidays.

Trek: Annapurna Circuit w/ Tilicho extension
Days (excluding flight): 14

An amazing experience from start to finish. Expect Sherpa holidays to take care of you every step of the way, from your first step out of Kathmandu airport, to the hypoxic high points of your trek with an ever ready bottle of oxygen.

The team we had was nothing short of amazing. Despite team members falling ill (this was decidedly our fault), we had both physical and moral support to keep happy and keep going! Every single challenge along the way, be it accommodation or food, was resolved promptly. We got where we needed to in the best possible way.

I highly recommend the team here for their attention to detail, service, and professionalism.

Passang and his team made this one of the most unforgettable trips of my life. We truly had the best time and everything was just so well organized and fun. Passang and his crew are genuinely fantastic individuals and a great inspiration. I can simply recommend this tour to anyone, you will be in great hands from beginning till end. Thanks so much for everything and cannot wait to come back. Namaste

At the recommendation of a friend, I used Sherpa Holidays for an EBC trek. They made everything about the trip very easy. From my initial questions to arranging lodging in Kathmandu, Sherpa Holidays was always prompt, easy to work with and provided excellent options. They are a small and Nepal-based company so they know the country and the people and work hard to ensure that you have a trip of a lifetime. They start out as travel guides but become friends. I would highly recommend Sherpa Holidays for your Nepal adventure!

We did an EBC trek with them in April/May 2019 via Gokyo lakes. From the onset, they were very professional in their communication. Based on their excellent online reviews, and a personal referral, we picked them over some of the cheaper outfitters.
Even though they were not the cheapest, they went out of their way to give us savings. For example, we had booked a two way helicopter from Kathmandu to Lukla (since Kathmandu airport was closed and the alternate arrangement for flights involved a 4 hr drive). Two days before our departure, they managed to snag seats for us on one of the only 2 aircraft that were allowed to fly on the day of our departure, and passed the savings to us.

From the time we got to the Kathmandu airport, to the time we left, they made sure all the arrangements and pickups were taken care of. Along the trek, the accommodations were great and food was plenty. If someone in our group needed more, there was never a question asked.

I also appreciated their little attention to details. They provide you with duffel bags and jackets. The jackers are really good quality down. They made sure the jackets were warm and laundered. The guides were excellent. We had Mingma and Nema Sherpa. Typically, the passang brothers themselves serve as guides. They are all local sherpas who

Overall, I have no hesitation in recommending them as a top notch outfitter. You will not be disappointed in their service and arrangement.

Trekked to Gokyo and Everest base camp with Sherpa Holidays. They boys went above and beyond to make sure that the trip would be the most amazing experience of my life. On top of that they helped us organise a few more things on the rest of our trip around Nepal. They were so selfless and wanted nothing in return!! Sherpa holidays are the reason I’ll be coming back to Nepal!!

I agree that Pasang and Pasang are nice, but only when it is for their benefit. As you can see from my profile I have travelled a bit and I will tell you that Sherpa Holidays is the most dishonest company that I have ever dealt with in the world.
I have had two experiences with them. Last year three of us booked a private trek to Annapurna base camp. Seven days before we were to land in Katmandu, pasang emailed that a group tour was better and we were leaving Katmandu earlier than we had booked. To make a long story short, they rearranged our trip to match that of another group of three and turned it into a group tour. Not what we paid for or expected.
The on the ground crew was excellent and very helpful. Due to this, my trekking mates insisted that we book with them again this year.
This time, pasang cancelled the trip thirty days before we were to arrive. He had taken a fifty percent deposit 5 months before. He had booked nothing in the five months. No other company takes 50%. When he cancelled he said he would refund the deposit money. In reality he refunded most of it, and it was not easy to get what we could. There are so many great and honest trekking companies I would move on to one of them

Yes, we do agree we cancelled his trip one month prior to the trip but it was all because of Richard , asking us to bring the price down and asked us whether he can go with different company and we said yes then he agreed to cancel his trip with us as he got a cheaper cost from the other company. This is first time ever we had come accross this situation and cancel the trip which was already been paid for.No company would pay back your deposit if you cancel the trip for no reason but we did refund all his money back. Richard has problem with everything whereas rest of the group was ok with our services. If Richard didn't like our service in his first trip ,there was no reason for him to come back with Sherpa Holidays again but he booked his trip with us for the second time and the trip got cancelled all because of Richard. We apologies for everything that happened with Richard and this kind of incident will never be forgotten as a lesson and won't be repeated again.

I've done 2 treks with Sherpa Holidays. The first was with my son to Base Camp and the second a year later on the Poon Hill trek with my daughter. Both were exceptional in every way. The 2 Pasangs ( cousins) are warm and generous hosts/guides. We have become friends. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Well darling guys.

Hike to Everest Base Camp with Sherpa Holiday was exceed my expectation. They are most helpful, friendly and informative guides ever. I was grateful as they had all things properly planned for you during the period. They also go extra miles to accommodate me.
I have altitude sickness during ascending and they give me options. I decided to continue to the base camp and they made sure i have the proper medication, eat my food, have oxygen tank ready and walk with me all the time to make sure i made it safe to the destination and also safely home.
Passang is very informative person and rich with mountaineering's experience. He gives us all information from coping with altitude sickness, the mountain area, the Nepal's culture & etc.
They not only ensure you have safe trek but ensure you have enjoyable journey. I highly recommend to anyone who want to go for trekking in Nepal!

We went for a typical hike to Everest Base Camp but the whole experience was nothing typical - IT WAS AWESOME.

Passang and Lakpa are honest and friendly and do their very best; usually going the extra mile for us most of the time. They made us feel safe and comfortable. When the hike got tough, he found ways to motivate us (chocolate definitely helped) and capture wonderful pictures for our memories. Our trip was personalised to our physical status and that made the hike really enjoyable.

We stayed with the most friendly and homely teahouse owners. We had good food, and the toilets and rooms are clean.

We didn't have to worry about paying for food or water after each stay and food was promptly served to our hungry tummies at each meal. That really helped a lot. Some groups had to calculate their meals at the end of each stay and I don't know how I would have managed that as the hike is tiring at times.

During our trip, we realised that we were travelling with a celebrity. Passang seemed to know everyone and everyone seemed to know him. We can really see how everyone adores them as snacks were always forced into their hands at the end of each stay. Also, we got to go to awesome cafes through his connections and enjoyed free wifi, food and documentaries. He also managed to help us get a flight back to Kathmandu when other groups have been waiting for 2 days!

His posters were also everywhere. He was raising money for a good cause by running a marathon. Both of them treat their porters with care too!

We were very lucky to have chosen the right guides.

Thank you Sherpa Holidays, for letting us experience the best of Nepal!
