The approach is very steep and we were ill prepared for it so had trouble walking. The Goemba is nice, small and beautiful, well maintained small garden.

Thadrak Goemba monastery is located outside of Thimpu on a hill. The climb to the top is steep and is moderately difficult taking about two hours to go up and hour and a half to climb down

Carefully tended footpath with delightful miniature gardens designed by the monks. Quaint phrases in poor English keep you smiling. The final entry is a bit treacherous so wear good shoes. Have butter tea as a guest of the temple.
