We had 1 day city tour around Kampala City, it was fantastic being sarounded by many interesting sites #hiking the Kampala seven hills, Old kampala hill,Rubbaga hill, Namirembe hill and Muyenga hill among the seven hills
#Guided Kampala city walk., really can't wait to visit Kampala again cause much is to explore #Namogongo matters shrine,Kasubi tombs, Gaddafi's mosque,Owino market Bahi temple,King's palace and the lake

I hate travelling in organised tours. I HATE it. I'm an adventurer, a free spirit and quite intrepid when it comes to travelling. I like to get there then figure things out - there's always someone that'll help you out.
When I landed in Entebbe I knew i'd find that person there - airports are great places to meet people, they're always trying to take you somewhere.
Andrew is a licensed cab driver who works for a tour company. I used him to get to a hotel in Kampala and on the way explained I wanted to free style my way through Uganda, with visits to Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth and Jinja on the cards as well as some other things. I asked if he'd be willing to help me WITHOUT his tour company and so we agreed to meet again, the next day.
This guy is a gem. I mean it. A GEM.
I'm a single woman travelling alone and at times ended up in some far out rough places, he was ALWAYS there for me, always. He made sure I was always ok, found me cheap places with wifi, helped me get vegan food (not easy in Uganda) and saved me about 70% off what any tour company would charge whilst offering 600% more.
I asked if I could share his number as he's the ideal buddy if you're as likeminded as me. Do tell him I said hi if you use him.
Another thing - I went white water rafting and left EVERYTHING in his car. My money, luggage, passport, wallet - everything. He lost me and could quite frankly have just left me and taken everything (he knew all I had on me was sun screen and a hair clip) - the guy went to the nearest village to the rafting site and stopped every bus asking if anyone had seen me until someone who'd spoken to me somewhere before told him where I was, then came to find me.
A gem.
