Our trip to Uganda was truly unforgettable, our guide Daniel allowed us to connect to the soul of this amazing country. After scurrying through info and reviews, I realized we couldn't do this trip on our own. I don't usually work with agencies or travel operators so I was very hesitant. Boy, did Daniel prove to be a treasure!
We went on a 7-day (very reasonably priced) trip with him, after lengthy correspondence for several weeks. He had our back even before the trip began. He made suggestions, yet was not pushy and was totally accommodating to particular requests and preferences, and was extremely competent, knowledgable and resourceful when dealing with unexpected hiccups. Once in Uganda, he was open to twitching the itinerary as he got a better sense of our particular interests regarding photography and a taste of a genuine, non-touristy experience. And that we did...I was literally in tears during several parts of the trip - the 2 Bwindi gorilla treks, the chimpanzee treks, spending time in an actual village with children and women...
We were not expecting much in terms of wildlife citing, as we'd picked Uganda primarily for the gorillas and chimps. However, some of the most memorable experiences (and photos) with elephants, hippos and lions, came from our trip with him.
As many people note, a guide can make or break a trip. I just wish I could clone Daniel :) as the ideal guide on every trip. We are so grateful.

We are back from our 3 weeks adventure in EastAfrica. After meeting Daniel and his team at an expo in n Utrecht, we were convinced that they were the right company to arrange this long waited holiday. We could not be more right.
We exchanged 10s of emails and they were very helpful in twisting the itinerary and answering our several questions.
We decided to go overland as flying between destinations didn’t seem as adventurous.
Mandela Safari Holidays is a very professional company that does everything to help their clients.
Such was seen when they contacted the airline about our lost luggage and made sure hey deliver it to our next destination.
The guide Joseph was superb, someone would enjoy travelling with or such a long trip.

We were a group of 27 wildlife researchers and had to travel to Kenya for work. On leaving the US, we wanted to be in hands of reputable, trusted and capable team despite all the Covid -19 situation that was going on in the world. We contacted Mandela Safari Holidays after being recommended by a a team member who had done a trip with them some time ago. They provided more than what we were looking for. The guides were well informed about the pandemic and were very cautious about who we meet. They had a load of information about their country and we mostly enjoyed the Masai Mara, Abedare and Amboseli National Parks. The lodges were booked into all followed the Covid-19 procedures and we felt very safe. For all our safari time, we were driven in Totota Landcruisers(long ones). They made sure that everyone had a window seat for the sake of wildlife viewing and also keeping in mind that we need to be spaced because of the corona pandemic. The Director, Daniel gave us plenty of advice as far as visas and covid tests were concerned. If you are looking for hassle free trip to Kenya with a company that will never get tired of answering your pre-trip questions, Mandela Safari Holidays is worth considering.

A safari to Uganda is not your common holiday getaway. We visited this beautiful country last year and an amazing time. We spent totally 2 weeks traveling the attractions. Mandela Safari Holidyas did a great job booking everything fro. Transfers, guides, park fees, gorilla permits, accommodation, chimpanzee permits and all we had to do was relax and enjoy. We thank thank our guide Joseph who made sure no bird and animal goes unnoticed. If we are to do thus trip again, we would still use Mandela Safari Holidays.

I was so impressed by their hospitality and organisation.their well experienced personnel and great work who worked so hard such that we reach our expectation as far as our trip was concerned. We had a wonderful time on the 9 day safari. Everything was perfect and we were even able to make last minute changes/adaptions to our itinerary with no hassle. I think the most exciting part are the random discoveries, exotic animals just on the roadside hiding in the trees.
I would highly recommend Daniel as a guide, he was patient and knowledgeable as was our other guide Brian.

A 4 Days was well informed about all the species, and our vacation was enjoyable. We had an amazing safari experience in Tanzania. The mid-range lodging we chose was far better than we had anticipated, and we were astounded by the warmth we experienced while staying in the center of Tarangire. We then continued our journey to Ngorongoro. Our journey ended at Lake Manyara, which was a unique yet pleasant experience. We saw a great variety of fauna there! The ideal partners for you are Safari Tour.

My boyfriend and I wanted to have a trip in any African country, and I booked 9days taste of Tanzania with Mandela safari Holidays.To be honest,the experience was beyond our expectations.
We flew to Julius Nyerere International Airport and met Joseph our guide.He was a very helpful and professional guide,he was so friendly, informative, and easygoing to be with for those 9 days.

Their attentiveness and organization in the booking process really pays off as you get exactly the holiday you wanted. We have never had anything other than atop class experience with Mandela safari holidays. We were able to a completely customized and stress free holiday. A memory for a lifetime.

I booked a ten days Safari with Mandela Safari holidays for my self and my little siblings .Our guide Joseph was so friendly and knowledgable about animals.We managed to spot two leopards in one game drive!!. He picked us from the airport and was an excellent driver on rustic roads. Highly recommend
