Africa is so special, we visited early this year through this company. They were able to arrange a great safari for 4 of us(I my boyfriend, grandmother and our daughter) The Murchison Falls was fantastic with great views, game drives and a thunderous sound at the bottom. Daniel was so good from the start to the time of booking.(This was a last minute trip) He answered all our questions well and timely. Fredrick our guide did not only drive us but also fed us with a lot of knowledge about the animals and birdlife. I will highly recommend them to friends and family.

During our visit to Africa i visited Uganda for 7 days with a group. we tracked gorillas, golden monkeys and had game drives in Queen Elizabeth Natiinal Park. I enjoyed the trekking in the forests where i came 1metre close to the gorillas and golden monkeys. This is something that every adventure traveller should lookup to. No words can explain this experience. Another highlight in Uganda was the night game drive where i saw a civet cat and a leopard with her baby. I later flew to Kilimanjaro to visit the serengeti and Ngorongoro. The cheetahs and the lion prides in the seronera area in serengeti made my safari complete. I cant thank African Wild Tours enough for arranging these experiences for me. My guides Frederick for Uganda and Shijja for Tanzania are really an asset to the company. I recommenf this company to other travellers.

This tour of Uganda certainly gave us a memorable taste of what Uganda has to offer for a tourist, so pleased that we by chance, browsed the internet and met Daniel. His communication before we arrived was regular and we felt like friends as soon as we met at the airport. He personalised our tour according to our interest in birds as well as being very knowledgeable about what African wildlife we would see and where it could be found. We had extensive game drives, morning and evening, whilst in the game parks. What he didn't know, we learned together as we researched reference materials. We felt we got excellent value for money with this personalised tour. Daniel has quite a lot of guiding experience, having worked for other companies prior to starting his own, so he knew how to give us combinations of experiences/places that gave us the best value for money and time. In each area where specialised guiding was required, Daniel sourced local guides such as happened in the Rwenzoris. Ignatius was in his local environment as he featured the area for us over three days. Daniel's driving was always vigilant and safe, keeping to low speeds at all times to avoid any dangers and be ready to stop for the many photographic opportunities of all the 'big 5' and more. With Daniel we identified 114 birds, including the rare shoebill and the giant pied king fisher. The vehicle was comfortable and capable for the wide range of roads and track conditions we encountered. The only drawback was a seal in the side door letting in dust which could be difficult to cope with at times. This was truely a wonderful camping experience for us and being used to tenting most of our lives the holiday was easy to manage with the packing and unpacking of a tent most days. However, I think as Daniel grows his business he should be able to invest in sturdier tents. As there was only two of us touring we sourced our food as we went along, from supermarkets and roadside stalls. It was up to us to take the initiative to let Daniel know what we would like to eat and drink as there were no set menus for each day. In some places we were able to have great restaurant meals. After crossing the Nile on a ferry, a baboon stole some of our food which gave us a good laugh as well as a laugh to some local onlookers. But being Uganda, shopping for food isn't always available so this meant some extra driving the next day to purchase some more. We needed to visit some schools, staying for a month at one in Uganda and another in Kenya for eight days and Daniel modified the itinerary to suit these needs and made sure we were not reliant on public transport to find these out of the way places. We were very grateful to have the benefit of his experience.

We're from Germany and we've never been in a country like Uganda. We vistited our son and brother, who makes a social year in Uganda. After a few days in Mityana we wanted to drive to the Queen Elizabeth NP. Our tourguide, Daniel and our driver Akhim picked us up very punctually, which isn't so typical for the normal people in uganda, at our house in Mityana. After a long drive through the whole land we were arrived at the Queen Elizabeth NP and we made our first game drive. It war really amazing to see the african nature and especially the animals we don't kwon from germany. We stayed two days in our first lodge and spend our new year in the pure nature from africa. After three days with game drives, jungle tour and a boat tour we drove to our second lodge. During the drive to the next lodge we visited some lakes. Daniel knows where the animals are and where the best places are to find them. After a night in the second lodge Akhim drove us back to Kampala where we spended our last three days in Uganda. The Safari was really amazing and during our time in uganda one of our highlights.
