I was in Uganda for a month for a different reason and decided spontaneously to go on a 3 day safari to Murchison Falls in my last days here. Since I was a girl travelling alone and also on a student budget I was a bit weary at first but I am so, so glad I decided to go in the end! The national park seemed like a different world, so calm and picturesque, and even on my mere three days there we managed to see all of the big five (even two lion cubs) and many many others. Encountering a herd of elephants is something I will never forget,
- all of it was an experience I will treasure forever! What was also special about this safari was that the trip to the Rhino sanctuary was already included in the itinerary, which is something you shouldn’t miss out on!
The lodge I stayed in (Heritage Lodge) was also very cozy and much nicer than I had expected for a budget/mid-range option.
And of course I can't thank my driver Patrick enough, who was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and dependable and made me feel comfortable during the trip while also being great company! I can warmly recommend him!
The communication with the company was easy, I was contacted shortly after booking and even though the trip was originally for a minimum of 2 people, it was no problem to do a solo trip instead and also to book on short notice, since I decided I wanted to go for a safari only 2 days before the departure date.
All in all it really was the perfect end of my stay in Uganda and I can't recommend Simba Africa Expeditions and also Patrick highly enough!

I experienced a super six day trip with Simba Africa.
Murchison Falls Park was teaming with animals. Saw every type of animal that this park has to over however wonderful to see Ugandan Cob, Jacksons Hartebeest and Oribi which we don't have in Southern Africa.
Birding was great and especially the water birds on the boat trip up stream to the falls.
We did not see as many animals in QENP as at Murchison Falls however the boat trip in the Kazinga Channel was an experience never to be forgotten. Enormous amount of Hippo, Elephants and Buffalo's. Tremendous amount of water birds.
I must thank three people who made this trip so memorable, Moses and Sharl from the office in Kampala were very accommodating with my many changes to my booking because of covid and George my driver guide who spent 6 days with me on tour was an excellent guide and driver and was always on time.

This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever experienced. My favorite part of the expedition was taking a selfie with lions in the background. My tour guide George was very knowledgeable in every subject and also very punctual which made the expedition that more desirable. I would recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Uganda. 10/10 recommended!

Since i had 6 days as solo girl in Uganda to use, i chose Simba to plan a trip for me. And i have to say, i could not have asked for any better organisation/trip plan! My guide Tonny was the most attentive person, who really made the trip to be a once in a lifetime experience for me! With his experience, know-how, inspiration, connections and customer orientation i was able to have an amazing time in uganda! Thanks a lot Tonny. Will come back soon again! ;)

I was impressed with Simba office staff (Sharl) as they responded to a number of last minute changes due to the expansion of my safari group from 1 to 6 (actually combining 2 groups together). Our driver/guide Tom was great - friendly, attentive, timely and very knowledgeable about the animals, plants and many other aspects of Ugandan life as well. Only problem is it is hard to hear past the first row of seats in our safari van as we are driving. Our 3 day safari trip to Murchison Falls and a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary was just superb. The combination of 3 game drives and the 3 hour Nile cruise in a small boat gives you the opportunity to see so much wild life and experience the profound beauty of the physical landscape, especially as it appears early and late in the day. Our cruise was in a small boat and was very peaceful and informative. It's just a great combo for those without a lot of time. I have never been on a safari before but this experience certainly exceeded my expectations.

A very agile company!!
We arranged everything wiht Sharl, who is a very fast email responser... LOL. She is also very kind, and we talked a lot by Whatsapp, helping to avoid any lack of information, and arranging a totally tailor made trip for my friends and I. SHE IS THE BEST.
Our guide and driver Eddie is also a very good professional and a lovely person who shared with us for 3 days his huge knowledge about world history and geopolitics, especially from East Africa.
The prices were very fair.
It was an amazing experience. I totally recommend!

We spent an AMAZING 5 days with our fantastic driver and guide Alex. We trekked the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable NP and spent some time enjoying the Wildlife in Queen Elizabeth NP as well as a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Alex was very knowledgeable, letting us know the names of the various plants, birds and animals, as well as giving us some historical, factual and cultural information. The roads are rough in Uganda, but at no time did we ever feel compromised or unsafe. Every part of our tour was incredible. In Bwindi, we experienced a family of 16 gorillas (babies, adolescents, blackbacks and a silverback). These beautiful animals walked within a few feet of us. This was absolutely a highlight of our trip. Our time at Queen Elizabeth Park and the Kazinga Channel was also amazing. We saw tree climbing lions, kobs, vultures, elephants, baboons, water buffalo, various birds, hippos, warthogs, crocodiles and an unusual siting of a leopard. Our accommodations were excellent and the communication with Hajarah from Simba African Expeditions was seamless.
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

It was a great pleasure to collaborate with Simba Africa Expeditions. Hajarah Namugenyi, our tour manager, was very responsive and supportive and met all our special requests. We book with her Gorilla tracking, Bwindi NP and Queen Elizabeth NP and can recommend her and Simba Africa Expeditions to a 100%. Thank you very much Hajarah

We went on a 7days wildlife, chimpanzee and gorilla safari with Simba Africa Expeditions and everything as planned in the emails with Hajara worked out perfectly during the safari. Our tour driver Moses was very patient with all of our questions and came up with the perfect trip for us. Moses was exceptional and had an amazing knowledge about his country, culture and almost knew everyone in all the parks we visited. He answered all our questions and was also good in spotting some birds. The food was nice and the local people were friendly plus the kids who often called us mzungu. The lodges were carefully selected and matched our imaginations. I recommend anyone wishing to travel to Uganda to use this Agency.

My husband and I used Simba for a couple of weeks to travel through Uganda and Rwanda. The positives: Our driver was courteous, and helped my husband get medical care when he became very sick. And they provided an itemized list of costs to be able to suit our budget.

The negatives: The driver didn't know where our hotel was in Rwanda and we literally lost a day trying to find it. But more importantly, due to changes in our itinerary, etc, we calculated that there was around $400 difference in what we paid versus the expenses for the trip. After going back and forth with the owner for almost two months we were refunded $110. This was a very frustrating experience and we were left feeling like we had been taken advantage of.

Bottom line: Approach with caution. Keep track of receipts and double check everything.

Am grateful to read about my clients past experience with us in both Uganda and Rwanda and am sure a lot of experience was gained during the whole safari especially the Mountain gorilla tracking exepedition in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Am also happy that our driver saved a life, plus my team at Simba providing a customised itinerary plus a list of items for the clients for their African Safari. We use professional guides who have been on the road for more than 5years and there was no way that the driver could miss the accommodation for that night. The most disturbing item that was not on our package was: Our clients were booked into a lodge on Lake Kivu which took our driver less than 2hrs to get to. However,on getting to the guest house, our clients insisted on checking in wanting another branch of the same lodge round lake Kivu taking our diver a full day of driving 400km wasting a lot of fuel and time. From our drivers report, they opted for their friends recommendation of accommodation dropping an already booked lodge. Our clients dropped some of our initial list of things to do and got advise from travelers they met in the different locations that we visited forgetting that the 2-countries could not be covered in 2weeks. The Kigali city tour was dropped on the last minute and our clients opted for a visit to a mission of orphans which hadn't been planned in our time frame. A lot of money was lost in already paid activities, fuel driving to destinations that our visitors enforced on the driver and the United-cleared balance. I suggest to all our up coming visitors to trust our Reservation department to better work out on their packages other than relying on the friends recommendations and Internet findings which have actually messed up so many Holidays.
