I really enjoyed my safari with Richard. When I first contacted Karumuna Safaris, I listed everything that I wanted to see and do. They put together an itinerary that included everything that I had mentioned and allowed me to make any changes that I wanted to make. Richard, Jonah, and Henry answered all of my questions before the tour and Richard followed up to see that everything was alright after the tour. All accommodations were nice and well located. During our travels from one location to the next, Richard made some stops at different sites to show me things along the way. He is a very good and enthusiastic guide and I could tell that he was really committed to making this safari the best experience possible.

Just returned from 2 weeks tour which was truly memorable and the holiday of a lifetime. From meeting us at airport arrivals to dropping us off at the airport at the end of our holiday they couldn’t have done more. The thought and planning that went into our holiday was exceptional. It really was tailored to us.
Richard and his team do a fabulous job and our guide Kefar for the 2 weeks, was 1 in a million. Always going the extra mile to make sure we had an amazing time (which we did!) and really caring everything went smoothly.
I can’t recommend this company enough, not just from a customer service perspective but also working with local communities in Uganda to ensure tourists like us stayed at places that benefited the local community and wildlife.

As solo traveller and passionate wild life photographer, I travelled through Uganda for 11 days with Richard, a 15 years experienced guide with whom I had preliminarily made contact and defined the details of the trip during the booking stage.
The tour was well organized with sufficient time for relaxing and enjoying the places after tiring days spent on game drives, various wild life activities such as Mountain Gorillas trekking and long driving sessions to reach the next destination. It was also possible to adapt the program based on short notice requests/developments to suit weather conditions and/or travelling schedule; this added value to the experience and made it feel like not pre-packaged but authentic and more intriguing.
I would personally reccommend Karumuna Safaris for the fair value for money and the extensive knowledge and experience of his guide Richard who always showed a high level of preparedeness and availability to respond to the traveller's requests.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from your agency during my recent safari trip. As a customer who had high expectations, I must say that my experience fell far short of what was promised and what I paid for.
Firstly, the communication from your agency was severely lacking. Despite several attempts to reach out for clarification on itinerary details and accommodation arrangements, I was met with delayed responses and vague answers. This lack of responsiveness made planning and preparing for the trip unnecessarily stressful.
Moreover, upon arrival at the safari destination, it became evident that the accommodations booked through your agency did not meet the standards advertised. The lodging was subpar, with issues ranging from unclean facilities to inadequate amenities. This significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment of the experience and left me feeling utterly disappointed. I do NOR RECOMMEND KARUMA SAFARI !!!

Be careful with this company
It's very sad because previously travelling with Karumuna (we did it three times) had no big problems. This time, however, the unpleasantness overcame everything. A number of services were not paid. So we had to pay for a second time in several places for accommodation and food. There were also no paid hikes for chimpanzees and gorillas. The owner of the Karumuna kept promising that the money issues would settle. Right away. An hour later. Two hours later. Tomorrow. Even now that we are already returning home, it is still promising that the money will be returned. We don't believe it anymore. It is a great pity that the visions of many travelers of the beautiful country, Uganda- Pearl of Africa, have been ruined.It's not exactly a clear reason why our money was missing. The most unpleasant, though, are the empty promises. I now i will travel Uganda again. Becose of very beauty and nice country and friendly people. But not with Karumuna. Never.

Overall, I feel let down by the service provided bythe agency. Not only did I not receive value for the money I spent, but the lack of professionalism and attention to detail severely impacted my enjoyment of what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I urge you to address these concerns promptly and take appropriate measures to improve the quality of service offered by your agency. The itinerary was not followed , acommodation was change withou information. Fees to NP were not paid. I highly warn you tp use servoce of Mr. Richard a Karumuna Safari.

I went on a 7 day trip with Karumuna Safaris and visited Queen Elizabeth NP, Bwindi Impenetrable NP and Lake Mburo NP. Even though I booked the tour a bit last-minute, everything was very well arranged. The hotels and the food were nice. My guide Dona was very friendly and knew a lot of animal facts. As a solo female traveller, I have always felt safe.

Awful experience with Karumuna Safaris.
The manager RICHARD KISEMBO is an absolute swindler and a scammer . Nothing included in the contract was respected. Different hotels/resorts than the originally paid , very low class were offered. Then we had to paid again for the gorilla trekking, because Kisembo did not sent the payment to the Bwindi national park office. The driver Dona were asking for money for fuel and we even had to pay for highway toll in order to arriver Entebbe airport in time.
I would never repeat again with this complany.
And nobody should go through such a terrible experience. There are lots of honest companies in Uganda who will offer you amazing time there

Did a 10-day tour through western Uganda with guide Ashadu. Booked a small group trip, but due to circumstances ended up as a solo tour. Ashadu made sure I was very safe and comfortable during the whole trip. He discussed the planning well in advance, as well as being very flexible to weather conditions/energy etc.
Had a lot of opportunities to spot the best wildlife in Uganda.
Staying in a lot of different lofts and hotels, and all were very fine and on nice locations. Food on the way was very enjoyable, with a lot of new things to try.
With a few days left after this 10-day trip, I contacted Richard to offer me a small tour to Jinja and Sipi-falls. I switched from tourguide Ashadu to Richard and enjoyed my last days in Uganda also very well.
They were flexible with my budget.
Had a lot of opportunities to spot the best wildlife in Uganda.
Staying in a lot of different lofts and hotels, and all were very fine and on nice locations. Food on the way was very enjoyable, with a lot of new things to try.
With a few days left after this 10-day trip, I contacted Richard to offer me a small tour to Jinja and Sipi-falls. I switched from tourguide Ashadu to Richard and enjoyed my last days in Uganda also very well.

In one week we saw the beautis of Uganda and met its wonderful people.
Game drive in Queen elizabeth park, gorilla trekking in bwindi forest, walking during the sunrise in Lake Mburu national park and some more.
