Pearl Afric provided an amazing 2-week experience in Uganda and Rwanda, highlighted with a mind-blowing gorilla trek. The trip also included chimp and golden monkey treks, some time relaxing at lakes and traditional safaris. Our guide was Raymond and he did an amazing job of getting us around some pretty rugged terrain and ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our adventure perfect. And he also has a keen eye for finding all the wildlife along the way. The trekking/hiking was a bit more rigorous than we expected (as the wildlife goes where they want, which is sometimes out of the way) so make sure to bring good hiking boots, socks to tuck your pants into (so red safari ants can't get in your pants), gloves (lots of prickly plants along the way) and a rain jacket. And prepare yourself for seeing some truly spectacular parts of nature.

Wow. It is hard to put into words how great my trip was. I did the gorilla tracking experience. Prim (guide & driver) was wonderful, extremely professional, knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around. I did this trip by myself so Prim and I spent a lot of time in the car together having great conversation. His driving was great and the car was in good condition. Also, I should point out that Pearl Afric, did a wonderful job following covid guidelines by wearing masks in the car and always having hand sanitizer available. The hotels they booked for me before and after the trip were great and it was nice knowing I could arrive into the country without having to worry about booking the hotels myself. The Pearl team did everything and really made my trip seamless.
The tracking experience was absolutely unbelievable and I was able to observe a family of 8 from a short distance away. The people at Bwindi are super knowledgeable as well and really appreciate the tourism as it supports the local economy and community. My only regret was not staying longer but in all, the trip went smoothly.
I highly recommend pearl afric. The trip was worth every penny or whatever currency you use :) . If you are going during covid, and need a covid test to fly home, Test and Fly in kampala was easy to get to and the results come back quickly. Overall 5/5

We booked a ten days trip through Ugandas National Parks such as Murchison Falls, Kabale und Queen Elizabeth. Pearl Afric Tours & Travel offers highly professional services: from proposing us the best options over the handling of the payment to keeping us informed all the time. In the field everything has worked out perfectly – all the lodges were superb and we spotted more animals that we could have imagined.
The guide we had - David Ategeka - was simply great. He told us a thousand interesting things about the country, it’s nature and it’s people. David is an excellent and very prudent driver and he made our trip in Uganda to a unique experience. We can only recommend Pearl Afric Tours & Travel to anyone else.

I have yet to travel to Uganda with PearlAfric but truly felt it was necessary to start my review now. I will of course update it after my trip.
I have been working with Innocent to book a trip in the first few months of 2021. First, I had booked my trip for January but after purchasing my flight tickets and coordinating my travel plans with Innocent, I had to cancel at a moments notice. I then asked Innocent if we can reschedule for February and he made it so easy for me to change including rebooking my tour dates, hotel stays, etc. I was really stressed about having to change my dates as Innocent had already put alot of effort into making my January booking flawless. But, he was easy and quick to communicate with. He answered all my question is a timely manner and reassured me that my trip will work just as well in February. It really has been a pleasure working with Innocent thus far, and from reading the previous reviews, I know my trip in February will be great.

We had a great ten day tour with PearlAfric in southwest Uganda.
Abdul our driver/guide was organized and experienced. And his planning and tips helped us have the best experience. If there only two of you travelling, ask to take the Prado, it's so much more comfortable!
I really recommend booking directly with the company rather than through a third party -- more money will go to Uganda this way and you'll have more input into the tour. The comms and materials might look less slick but the support/info you need is all there if you ask. We had some issues with the bank transfer to Uganda, but I see the company now accepts cards so it should be much easier.

Our trip was very well organized and professionally run, all our questions were answered both in the lead-up and during the trip itself. Our guide Prim was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable on everything we wanted to know, even teaching us some Lugandan (although you can get by with just English). We did a 5 day trip to Bwindi to go gorilla trekking and to Lake Mburo park which were both fantastic, we saw so many animals. The stay at Kigambira Safari Lodge was particularly good, with baboons and warthogs around the lodge during the day and hippos at night. We had great food, including stops at Ugandan restaurants on the first and last day, and more Western food at the lodges.

We had an absolutely incredible time, our guide David, went above and beyond to always ensure that we were happy and comfortable.
I'd be happy to recommend Pearl Afric to anyone I know, we really don't have any complaints.
He even went as for as contacting a range the day before we arrived in Queen Elizabeth National Park to ensure our chances of seeing Lions and Leopards was maximized!

We began out planning a year ahead. We got the itinerary we wanted as we were doing a few things off the beaten track . We made a few changes and nothing was a problem for Inno who smoothly did everything we asked for. The 3 week trip was faultless. Every day was a new experience. Abdul our driver was knowledgeable and experienced. His driving was fantastic and he was friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. He tweaked our timings to make sure we had the best experience and made us feel safe and special at all times. The trip surpassed our expectations- the safaris, the tracking of lions, chimps and gorillas left us blown away. The whole team behind Pearl Afric was at our service . We felt very special

We began booking our trip in January. Innocent and his staff corresponded with us in a very timely manner for 6 months. There were many hoops to jump through for international travel with all the Covid regulations, but they helped us ensure that we had everything lined up. Our guide, Abdul, met us at the airport where he informed us that, "We are family now!"
Uganda is BEAUTIFUL! We did a history tour in the city on the first day which was great. The lodges that Innocent lined up for us were each unique and welcoming. Abdul always made sure that we were where we needed to be and had everything we needed. The chimpanzee, gorilla, and golden monkey tracking experiences were all thrilling. It was definitely worth it to participate in the habituation experience.
We already have plans for return trips to Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and Kenya, and we will be using Pearl Afric again.
Innocent took the time to meet us for 2 meals, one of which was at the Luwombo restaurant, which we highly recommend.
The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the Nile River tour up to Murchison Falls, the game drives, and the community activities all not only demonstrated Uganda's unique and beautiful wildlife and scenery, but also it highlighted its beautiful, friendly people.
We highly recommend Pearl Afric for your Uganda experience!
