My wife and I just finished a 2 week adventure around Uganda with Africa Tours Adventure. I can't say enough about them. Our guide Barnabas was outstanding! Really you should ask for him when you book. He made us feel safe and taken care of the whole trip as well as informed and entertained. Nothing beats laughing all along the way with each other. Even as we were negotiating our way around while the coronavirus was starting to cause issues. Between Barnabas and Nicolas, they managed to adjust on the fly to find us new accommodations when one had tax issues and others when we could not cross the border into Rwanda. They were efficient and on top of it all without us really knowing all the issues. Barnabas made our trip one of the best we ever had. Great conversations, great advice and he always had our best interest at heart. His main goal was that we got the most out of our trip on every level. Truly a good man and a great friend. I will tell everyone to ask for Barnabas if they book. You could not be in better hands. We spent 2 weeks in which we did monkey walk at Bigodi, chimpanzee tracking, the Kazinga Channel, Queen Elizabeth National Park, 2 gorilla tracking hikes and golden monkeys. Barnabas gave us a lot of history of where we were and was super informative of all the animals we saw including so many birds. I felt like I was being educated along with the adventure. It was out of this world. We felt like we were being enriched while we were guided. We saw all the big wildlife that were around and even saw the tree climbing lions in Ishasha! And when I got a bit of traveler's stomach, we said bye bye to packed lunches and Barnabas kept checking in on me. We really felt special. He helped get us into the best family tracking of gorillas in Buhoma because I wasn't sure if I was going to make it. God bless him! Always was looking out for us. He has great contacts with the guides and rangers. He was even open to us helping out a mother and daughter duo who were running the French Amazing Race. What a story to bring back! One lodge was having tax problems and Nicolas found us an upgrade in no time and it was even better. All the lodges were beautiful that they chose and when we had to adjust after Rwanda was having border issues they found us more wonderful accommodations on the fly. Again all the lodges were awesome and really close to all our activities. They really know their country and all it has to offer. We had quiet places with wonderful views. This was by far the best 2 week adventure we have ever taken and we are pretty well travelled. Everything was more than we had thought it would be. This is by far the best safari travel company in Uganda. Book with them. You won't find anyone better. Nicolas is a class act! There is a reason he is ranked #1. Believe it and trust it! Ask for Barnabas as well. He is professional, kind and friendly. We will be friends for life now. They will be our go to when we go back.

What an amazing experience. We did a 6 day tour, but in hindsight, I would have added a couple of days. Nicholas was so helpful getting us set up for our trip and was very responsive when responding to my questions. Once we were picked up for our trip in Entebbe, our driver Rogers, was fantastic. He was very patient with all our questions and helped us to really appreciate Uganda and it’s people. What an amazing country. Everyone was so welcoming and we always felt safe. We did underestimate the amount money we needed for tips, but they also were happy with US$. Being with the chimps in their natural habitat was a great experience, but the Mountain Gorilla trek, was amazing!! The hike was a good distance and not easy, but certainly worth all the hard work. I would recommend Africa Tours Adventures. They were great and reasonably priced.

We did a 6 days safari at Queen Elisabeth park, including the gorilla trekking. The communication with the company was very good. The suggested accommodation were really nice and generally everything was very well organized. I want to specially mention our driver Levan. He was simply excellent!

Wow! I lucked out by getting the best guide ever! I could not have imagined my gorilla trek, game drive and boat ride in Queen Elizabeth National Park and chimpanzee trek being as wonderful as it was and this is because Jovia shows a genuine interest in her guest(s) and she explains the tour details clearly. She’s professional, thoughtful, thorough and fun. She's also the only female guide with Africa Tours Adventure. If you’re staying in Bakiga, I recommend the Bekiga Lodge and I highly recommend taking the tour of the village with Jovia and Happy. On this tour, you will visit the Batwa Pygmies and the Ruhija Little Village Angels Orphanage and Primary School, which Happy runs. (Donations are appreciated.) I was invited into the classrooms and received a warm welcome in English from the darling children. When we visited the Batwa Pygmies, I was moved by their sadness about being removed from their home in the forest. They expressed how they missed hunting and having meat. I asked about buying them a male and a female goat. Happy arranged to bring the goats in the afternoon and we walked together to deliver the gifts. The celebration was ebullient! Happy instructed that raising goats is different than hunting and that the goats must be cared for and allowed to procreate. Jovia presented me with an unexpected experience and opportunity to make a real difference in these displaced people’s lives. I imagine you will find her as special as I do. My next experience with Jovia will be to do the gorilla habituation trek because they are magnificent and one hour with them just isn’t enough!

It was a nice experience, wonderful staff from the drivers, tour guides and the overall coordinator Nicolus. We visited the Gorillas , it was a wonderful experience and the weather was fantastic thou time was not on our side. I promise to visit again in summer and I would definitely recommend other visitors to use Africa Tour adventure company for maximum satisfaction. I rate them 9.5/10.
