I went on holiday last September (2019). Prime Safaris were very easy to do business with, we regularly communicated until I made my mind up. I was met at the airport by a friendly representative who took me to my first hotel. My main driver, Joseph popped by later to introduce himself. The safari was challenging, some of the days were long but I knew that beforehand and it meant I got to see most of the great parks of Uganda. I loved everything they had laid on and Joseph was very knowledgeable. I would have given this company 5 stars anyway but they excelled themselves with their care. Unfortunately I developed shingles whilst travelling and so they drove me back to Kampala from Kidepo to get to a hospital. Cate then accompanied me all day at the hospital whilst I was seen by 3 consultants. Joseph then took me back to continue my itinerary. They had to rearrange several hotels which all happened for me seamlessly. I was still quite poorly and Joseph took amazing care and adapted the trip to suit. I had to miss the gorilla trek due to my infection so I am going back when I'm completely recovered and it will definitely be with Prime Safari. Many thanks guys.…

We booked a 3 day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari with Prime Safari's and would recommend and book with them again. The planning and communication through email was consistent and professional and our trip was tailored to what we wanted to do and where we wanted to stay with plenty of options to choose from. Godwin was an excellent driver and tour guide making sure we felt safe and hydrated at all times. He was very knowledgable, accommodating, always on time and always greeted us with a smile. Thank You Cate for arranging our amazing trip and for following through making sure we were picked up on time and Thank You Godwin for being with us throughout our 3 Day Gorilla Trekking Safari!…

We did a 4 day tour (Nyiragongo volcano and Gorilla trekking) We had just finished tow tours before this one, so we were expecting average, but we were wrong. Cate had every detail sorted out and even a present for us. Godfrey picked us up, awesome driver and great companion, our trip to Rwanda border was super nice and the food included was 10/10 specially at Kibumba camp. they volcano and the gorillas are spectacular, so if you are looking to go there Prime is an awesome company, we did a midrange tour and it felt luxury to be honest.…

We spent almost 8 months preparing this trip and it was truly amazing. Uganda was such a surprise ( there is so much more than gorilla trekking ) and Kenya was the perfect cherry on top of the cake ( as my husband said, Premier League of all the safari places we've been - 4 so far). I must start my review talking about the people from Prime Safari. Cate would answer all my doubts, no matter the time difference, so fast and with so much info that she was the reason we bought the package with Prime Safari. Sandra, who was waiting for us in Entebbe, was lovely and helped us with buying SIM cards, exchanging money when we first arrived, made us feel at home from minute one. Joseph, in Kenya, was so patient with me complaining and asking " are we there yet" " are we there yet" , on our way to Masai Mara and can spot animals, in the Savanah, as no other!! He knows everything about Kenya and it is the perfect guide there. And Emma! Oh! We wanted to bring Emma back to China with us! Great driver, always worried if everything was ok, explaining animal by animal, stopping on the road to buy corn for me ( favorite street food from Uganda), after 7 days he practically became family! We would choose him and everybody else 1000 times! I could spend hours talking about Prime Safari team but I rather highlight the best moments in Uganda and Kenya. WHAT I WOULDNT MISS IN UGANDA! Chimp trekking - Kazinga Channel boat safari - Queen's Elizabeth game drive - GORILLA TREKKING ( of courseeeeeeee) and Mutanda Lake. Tips: I would spend 2 days in Bwindi National Park. After the trekking, it would be nice to relax for the rest of the day. We took a 5 hours drive to reach Mutanda Lake, after the trekking, and it was a bit exhausting. Also, I would do 2 days to relax in Mutanda Lake. The place is AMAZING, so bucolic, perfect for a good rest! Be ready for African massage!!! Most of the roads are not paved and it shakes quite a bit. WHAT I WOULDNT MISS IN KENYA! Game drives every day in Masai Mara and the balloon ride over Masai Mara! Game drives in Kenya are another level. Every centimeter you bump with a different animal. We saw dozens of lions, 5 cheetas hanging around together, elephants, zebras, giraffes ( one time more than 12 of them together )... It's truly unbelievable! Tips: You have the chance to go by plane, from nairobi to masai mara, but its expensive. since we wanted to do a balloon ride ( which is more expensive than anywhere else - Luxor, Bhagan...), we decided to go by car. if you have the chance to pay the flight from nairobi to masai mara, i highly recommend it. besides, the view must be amazing!! I highly recomend the guides we had, Prime Safari.... and Im sure if you are thinking about visiting East Africa, this is your option :)…

Wow, wow, wow!!! I don't even know where to start. This trip, with Prime Safaris, was amazing! First off, the company itself: When booking these types of tours from the US, most will ask that you wire transfer the money or pay the credit card service fee. I got super nervous on this part. After spending 5 days with this company- I now can safely tell people, don't worry! They are a very reputable company. Level of service: Our driver, Gaylord, was great! He picked us up right from the airport, had a sign with our name, and took care of us the entire trip. He was educated, spoke English well, was funny and was there to help us with whatever we needed. Vehicle: We had an older van type of car but we ended up loving it! The back seat was spacious and I even was able to jump in the third row seat and lay down for a bit if I wanted to. The top lifted off for us to see all of the great animals while driving. Our driver cleaned it every night for us and made sure we had fresh bottled water each day. Animals: HOLY SMOKES... we went in January and we saw so many animals. We did the safari portion, the chimps and the gorillas and all were amazing. I would do the exact same trip again anytime! Tipping: Don't forget to tip about $20-$25 (more if you want) per day per person. We gave him the tip at the very end and gave him US dollars. We made sure before leaving the US the bills were newer as they don't accept older bills.…
