The tour was developed by Uganda Bicycle Ltd., We have combined recreation with the highest safety standards, as our top priority. Therefore any healthy person who can ride a bicycle can join the tour.During the trip, which is limited to a maximum of 8 people per group, get to see the contrasts that Uganda has to offer. We visit local shops where they make Ugandan arts & crafts. Take a short boat trip in a longtail boat on Victoria lake and see luxurious villas and apartments side by side with poor shacks where people live.We visit local schools before riding through the greenest area of Kampala. There you might even recognize some of the plants you have at home, only here they are much bigger. During the trip we stop every hour for a short rest and to provide you with soft drinks or water. Halfway through the trip we provide a small local snack in a local restaurant.Book this trip in advance as availability is limited!

This bicycle trip is a great way to see some less visited parts of Kampala and get a glimpse of every day life in the city. Bert is a great guide and knows a lot of people in the local community. Highlights were a boat trip on lake Victoria, tasting local food and meeting local people along the way.

Take an interest in the life of the Ugandan people, and Usman - the tour guide - will happily speak about it all. Including his personal life. Our eyes were opened to just how tough the world can be for the people working in Uganda. Be prepared to ask questions - and ask them. Usman has no issue telling you... More

I made this tour together with my parents and sister and we really had a great day! We choose for the nature-tour, which I would recomment to other people as well. We started with a boat tour, then cycled for about two hours (which was a bit short according to our opinion, who would have liked to make a longer... More

I took this tour as I was in Kampala for business and had a free morning. I spend too much time in Africa just in meetings in western hotels and I wanted to get out and see how people live. I was met by Bert, a big genial Dutchman who explained the work he's doing in Kampala to support a... More

This unproportionaly expensive trip, was really a big disappointment. Bert - the owner - is a nice guy, but was not our guide. The guide - Usman - was not much of a talker, and 90% of the knowledge came from the questions we had asked (we would expect that he'll tell us about what is intersting and we might... More

Bert Dassen is really nice guy. We spent a pleasant day travelling in the villages on our bicycle, talking to local people, listening to the stories told by Bert. His knowledge and involvement of Uganda people is excellent. Really our best day in kampala

This is a nice way to discover other parts of the daiy life in Kampala. With the cultural tour you will see the area behind the asphalt roads, with the tarmac roads, fish market, school, including a boat trip on the Lake Victoria. Parts of the fee goes to community projects. From the centre of Kampala I took a boda... More

I was only in Kampala for 3 days and I was looking for an activity to discover the city. I booked the "Nature Tour" and I was literally transported into an amazing journey: the local guide was really professional and he explained me a lot of things while we were pedaling through the hills. I definitely recommend this activity for... More

This was a really amazing experience. I took the cultural tour and rode through villages, a marketplace, visited a school, and took a boat ride. It gives you a sense of what life is like on the outskirts of Kampala. The tour guide, Asuman, was very nice and informative and pointed out different plants, went out of his way to... More

Great way to spend a morning/afternoon. Lovely to get out and ride through the countryside (and have two boat rides on lake victoria). I guess it might look expensive for a few hours but a large chunk of the money is going into community projects so you can feel good about that as well as enjoy a part of Kampala... More
