This company did a great job organizing the activity! Pick-up from and drop-off to my accommodation, lunch, and water was included. Be ready to get up super early -- it was a long day but totally worth it! Akampurira Rogers was my driver. He is incredibly friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Sarah Nakiganda spent many hours helping me arrange the trip, and was very patient as I did not initially have my plans solidified. We trekked through the forest with our guide and porters to meet up with a team who had already located the gorillas. We got much closer to them than I had anticipated we would. What an exciting opportunity it was to interact so closely with these amazing creatures! As this family of gorillas had been accustomed to being around humans, the experience did not feel as scary as one might imagine. Bring your hiking shoes and long pants because the hike to find the gorillas is unpredictable and can be challenging! I highly recommend doing a tour with this company. It was an unforgettable experience! Their prices are very reasonable as well.

I had a great two days with African Adventure Travelers on a trip to Murchison Falls national park. I was picked up from my hotel in Entebbe and returned there the following evening. The guide, Emmanuel, was great and worked really hard whilst on the game drives to find some of the harder to see animals. I was fortunate to see lions up close and caught a glimpse of a leopard as well. The only downside to the trip was Heritage Lodge where we overnighted. It was nothing fancy, but generally fine except for the fact that the bed had a duvet on it (way to warm to use) and the mosquito net was full of flies when I got in: not the best night's sleep! Despite the poor night I would highly recommend organizing a trip with this company.

We took a 3 day Murchison Falls tour. Our guide was Silas who was superb. He was always ahead of the game. Not only he has great knowledge about wildlife but also was smart when talking about life in Uganda (politics, economy). He knew where game was and we always had the best possible view (saw leopards, lions, shoebill, etc). Hotels and food were nice. We drove a 4x4 van which was super comfortable. Would recommend African Adventures and also Silas as a guide.

My family of four had a wonderful Safari throughout Uganda with African Adventure Travellers. Sarah, in the office, was fantastic. She put together an amazing adventure and was incredibly responsive to all my questions/requests throughout the planning process. She even met up with us part way through our safari to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and to ask if she could do anything else for us. Sarah’s customer service was outstanding!! Moses was an excellent guide. He taught us so much about the history, culture, industry, flora and animals of Uganda. When we weren’t peppering him with questions, Moses entertained us with funny stories about past safaris and life in Uganda. Moses was focused on giving us the best experience possible. He ensured we got to do and see everything from our jam packed itinerary and more. He was flexible and accommodating. When we wanted to watch certain animals a bit longer he happily obliged. One day when we were all tired, he tweaked our schedule to give us a little down time. We were very lucky to have Moses as our guide!! Uganda is an interesting and beautiful country that we would recommend to anyone - especially with the help of African Adventure Travellers!!!

We booked three trips with African Adventure Travellers from Kampala Uganda. First we travelled through Jinja to Sipi Falls. Along the way we stopped at Sezibwa Falls, at Mabira Forest Reserve for a guided hike, in Jinja for a boat ride to the source of the Nile River and finally reached Rafiki Lodge at Sipi Falls. The journey was both entertaining and educational from our guide Emmanuel. Rafiki Lodge was amazing. The views from the sundown walk and the next morning at sunrise were breathtaking. I am a vegetarian and the food offered was delicious. The next day we did a three hour hike with Joel who also operates Taste of Sipi Joe. He took us to two waterfalls and showed us farming in the community and his coffee business from growing in the plant to steaming in our cup. The next trip was a one day journey to the Equator and Lake Mburo. We had a box lunch that we enjoyed at Lake Mburo while we waited for the boat to be ready to depart. On the boat tour we saw so many hippos, a few baby crocs and lots of interesting birds. Then we went into Lake Mburo National Park where we saw so many zebras, giraffes, water buffalo, antelope, elands, Jackson hartebeest, and water bucks. It was magical sitting at the waterhole watching so many species. Our final trip was the journey to Murchison Falls. It’s a long trip from Kampala but so amazing. We stopped at the top of the falls first and then made our way to a boat tour on the Nile River where we saw so many amazing wild beings and cruised to the bottom of the falls. After the boat tour, we jumped in the Jeep and headed into the park. Being in the park at sundown was amazing. After a lovely overnight at Twiga Safari Lodge, we drove back into the park. The excitement that morning was spotting the vultures and hyenas and as we left three elephants beside the road topped off the whole visit. African Adventure Travellers did a great job at arranging the trips for us and providing great accommodations. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. I would definitely enjoy tours with the company again.
