We used Afritrek for our honeymoon in Kenya. Our tour guide David was exceptional in every way. From the minute we landed we made a request for a tour that was fully booked online and he was able to swing it for us within and hour. He was knowledgable on almost everything we asked: animals, culture and politics. He taught us so much along the way and you could tell he really had a lot of pride in his country. We later on booked a hotel in Masai Mara and the hotel came with a seperate guide but the entire time we thought “If David was here he would of been more captivating, interesting and knowledgable”. Overall 11 out of 10 experience. We would highly recommend Afritrek to anyone looking for an exceptional experience!

I went on a 3 days gorilla trekking Safari to Bwindi.
My review is based on my personal satisfaction although we were in a group of 4 pax.
First, I had never heard of something like gorilla trekking or Bwindi, I was interested in apes and I wanted to see chimpanzees.
When I contacted Afritrek, I asked them what is the best primates Safari one should take and why, they gave me different safaris and reasons to choose either and as a nature loving person I chose a gorilla Safari to help in their conservation.
When time came, they picked me at exactly 7 am and we embarked on the journey, there's a lot of stuff I saw on the way that keeps running in my memory; the birds, the mountains, beautiful scenery, people of different walks and the nice food I ate.
I had booked a business lodge but in my view, I slept in a luxury lodge, the food was awesome as well.
When time came for gorilla trekking, we walked over hills and valleys, I really got drained and somehow regretted why I went after the mountain gorillas not chimps in cage. Anyway, the mountain gorillas were just astonishing and thrilling at the same time. I don't know if I were just overwhelmed or I really saw a real life King Kong, but the silverback was way bigger than I do. Those creatures were really amazing!!
My only concern is the price of the gorilla permit, although it's a contribution towards conservation, you guys really need to adjust it a little small. I find it expensive, I don't know for others.
All in all, my trip was great, I am not good at typing, I would have written tens of thousands of words to express my appreciation.
I recommend Afritrek holidays Uganda for professionalism and being eco-friendly.
I will consider Afritrek my best Gorilla Safari Company although I haven't traveled with any other company in Uganda.
Note: this is my personal experience, I am not reviewing for the whole group.

We planned a 7 day road trip that included stops to see Lake Mburo NP, Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth NP, and Murchinson Falls NP. Our driver Pius was extremely professional and prioritized our safety while ensuring that we maximized our time. His knowledge of the parks and the wildlife made our game drives exceptional. After a lodge canceled on us last minute, he went above and beyond and found us accommodation at a beautiful lodge that fit our budget. We appreciated his kindness, easy going attitude, and his choice of music! We are very happy with our experience and would highly recommend Pius and Afrika-Trek Holidays!

July 2024 was my first time on the African continent. I selected the two-day trip to Akagera National Park with AfriTrek, where John was my guide. While traveling alone, he made me feel very comfortable with his patience and commitment to showing me the best of Rwanda. He not only worked hard to give me a fantastic time inside the park, including both a boat trip and a long safari driving in search of the big five. But he was also committed to recommending music from the region, places to visit in Kigali, and plans I should include on my itinerary whenever I return to Africa.
The trip started with John and his apprentice, Noah, picking me up at Kigali airport. Then, they drove back to the Rhino Lodge, where we planned our next day and had a fantastic lunch. While the place had some areas where I walked around to see many birds and monkeys, the night finished with dinner and a fireplace.
John and Noah picked me up early to go to Akagera National Park the next day. On the way there, we picked up a local guide, Eric, who gave us all the details on the hotspots inside the park. I was stunned to notice that I would be the only tourist in the car, with three excellent guides showing me the marvelous nature inside the park.
Thank you, John, Noah, and Eric, for being excellent tour guides.
Thank you, Daniel, for your quick responses and patience when deciding which safari to choose.
Thank you Rwanda, see you soon!

We went on a group Uganda safari during the Christmas eve with Afritrek holidays Uganda and I can confirm, these guys are professionals. The trip was kinda scientific, washing hands here and there, wearing face masks all the time and keeping distance from others but we still enjoyed to the maximum. We were examined by temperature guns before stepping on our bus and even at the park entrances. Our group guide was well informed and very charming. We were accommodated in a fair lodge that had the best food and maximum hygiene. Our trip took us to Murchison Falls national park, kibale forest and fort portal city. I much enjoyed the boat cruise on river Nile, Murchison falls, I saw hundreds of birds, hippos , buffaloes fighting along the river bank and crocodiles. We went on top of the falls also where the waters made an awesome sound. I really can't tell everything I saw their and on the way, all I can say just trust these guys if Afritrek holidays, the know what they are doing. You will live the experience travelling with them. Big up guys

We had booked a 2-day safari with pick-up near Ishasha. Everything worked out and even misunderstandings in the booking (we needed 2 rooms for 2 people and only one room was prepared) were resolved very well (we got 2 rooms at no extra charge). Steven, our guide, was nice, but he didn't tell us that all souvenirs are much cheaper in Kampala at the National Theater. Thanks to him, we did do another game drive and saw lions. That was great.

We have just returned from an incredible 12 day safari where we visited Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth NP, Bwindi, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo. From the start Gava at Afrik Trek was fantastic, answered my very many queries with patience, clarity and speed. He created a bespoke safari based on our interests in wildlife, natural sights and culture/people. Everything was handled with upmost professionalism and care. Our driver guide Paddy (Patrick) was amazing. He was so welcoming, friendly and easy going. He managed to get us the best wildlife photos, he knew all the great places to go in the national parks. As it was just the 3 of us, it was brilliant that we all got on so well. Paddy explained everything clearly and was very knowledgeable about everything in his country. We particularly liked him stopping and explaining the various crops that were growing. He was very flexible and adapted easily to each situation. I cannot recommend Paddy highly enough - he truly made our first time in Africa magical, safe and a trip of a lifetime. Book a trip to Uganda - you won't regret it!

Gava was very helpful from the beginning, which was 2 months before our actual trip. We rented a car with a driver. Then a few days before the trip, we made a change of our itinerary and requested that the car to be brought to Kisoro, instead of Kampala. Gava organized it quickly. The driver, Moses, was very willing to do anything we wanted. He suggested some tours and itineraries. He was always punctual and answered all our questions. I recommend Moses to anybody who needs a driver/guide!

We had a wonderful trip with Afrik-Trek!
We went on a 7 day Rwanda and Uganda safari with gorilla trekking in Bwindi and from the beginning of planning Gava was very helpful and accommodating in creating the desired itinerary and answering any questions we had.
Our guide John was wonderful, patient and knowledgeable and really made our trip special. He made sure we had a wonderful experience and that all the activities went off without a hitch.
All the accommodation was really nice and well maintained, even though we chose the budget option.

My guide, Pius, was a gem. He made sure I were prepped for the trek with just the right mix of seriousness and humor – a true master of his craft.
The trek itself was absolutely unforgettable. We ventured into the heart of the forest, where the air was thick with anticipation. Each step brought us closer to our goal – and the suspense was better than any thriller I've seen. Then, the moment of truth – we found a family of gorillas. Watching them interact in their natural habitat was surreal.
If you're contemplating booking a trip with Afrik-Trek Holidays-All Uganda Safaris, stop thinking and just do it. The experience was beyond amazing, and Pius is the guide you didn't know you needed in your life. Highly rated.
