My wife and I just returned from Africa. Ten days of our trip were curated by Primate Safari Experiences. Our experience from beginning to end could not have been better. Scheduling the trip online was both exciting and effortless thanks to Edward, who coordinated and tailored our trip to our specifications. We traveled to Rwanda, Congo, and Uganda. They coordinated a gorilla safari in Congo, travel across the entire country of Rwanda, Congo, and Uganda, and multiple safaris in Uganda including Queen Elizabeth National Park which is spectacular. They also scheduled the mandatory Covid testing that we needed along the way and helped us obtain all visas and park entry fees. The logistics they put together was amazing and the entire trip went as smoothly as could be. Special thanks to both of our guides (both named Moses). They were professional, knowledgeable, and excellent drivers on some exceedingly difficult roads. They also were amazing ambassadors of each country we visited and brought a unique perspective that we found priceless. They both spoke multiple languages (including perfect English) which was essential to easy transit throughout all of the various countries. We experienced wildlife like we never imagined, and the gorilla safari at Kahuzi-Biega National Park in the DRC was life-changing. The hotels we stayed at were five star and were all welcoming, safe, and authentic. We enjoyed some of the best food and drinks in all of our years of travel, in particular during the long drives when our guides chose local restaurants and hotels for a midday meal. We highly recommend this company and could not imagine a better experience!

Kahuzi-Biega is a must if you are in the South Kivu. My experience with Primate Safari Experience was organized, high quality, and extremely memorable. Communication was easy and prompt via WhatsApp. The park rangers and the trackers were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I was picked up my hotel around 7:30 am and arrived back around 4 pm. Depending on where the gorillas are in the park, you may have to trek more. However, the park is beautiful so the trek is part of the experience! 100% would recommend even as a female solo traveler.

Kahuzi-Biega is open! I was lucky to be the first person back in the park since the closing due to COVID-19, but the park is back open. The rangers and trackers on my Lowland Gorilla trek made sure the experience was special. Lambert, the head actually took my phone at the beginning of the trek and captured amazing photos and video while I used my GoPro. I booked through Congogorillassafaris.com. I am not sure their email works, so I recommend contacting them directly through WhatsApp. That is how we communicated. They arranged for me to pay my deposit and transportation to and from the park was prompt. I was already staying in Bukavu, so that helped as the park was only an hour away. All said and done, I was back at my hotel by 2pm the same day.

I identified this firm t/a Congogorillassafaris.com on the Kahuzi-Biega National Park web site. Contact was initially problematic as my email went to spam but once it was established communication was good. Once I was on the tour, which was a visit to the Lowland Gorillas in the DRC, contact was by way of WhatsApp and as immediate as the internet connection would allow with the company checking all was going well regularly. Because of the initial delay in making contact I had made enquires of another company. The figure quoted by this firm was significantly less yet it is difficult to see how the service could have been improved. Both drivers (one in Rwanda the other in DRC) drove well and safely on their respective road conditions. The hotel in DRC was close to the border, comfortable and secure with friendly staff. While the DRC driver only spoke a little English on the one occasion there was a communication problem this was easily resolved by referring to the organisers. Additionally the DRC representative, who spoke good English, was also on hand and made every effort to make my stay enjoyable e.g. arranging for me to try local food. Clearly the highlight was the visit to the gorillas, which was special. Once in the National Park the visit is coordinated by the Park Rangers who again went to every effort to help the group experience the meeting.

Hello, thanks for the review ,we appreciate. Please note, our prices are slightly lower as a way of giving back to our clients because we at Primate Safari Experiences Ltd have over the past years received special offers from the various service providers in a bid to conserve primates in Congo .
