My wife and I just returned from Africa. Ten days of our trip were curated by Primate Safari Experiences. Our experience from beginning to end could not have been better. Scheduling the trip online was both exciting and effortless thanks to Edward, who coordinated and tailored our trip to our specifications. We traveled to Rwanda, Congo, and Uganda. They coordinated a gorilla safari in Congo, travel across the entire country of Rwanda, Congo, and Uganda, and multiple safaris in Uganda including Queen Elizabeth National Park which is spectacular. They also scheduled the mandatory Covid testing that we needed along the way and helped us obtain all visas and park entry fees. The logistics they put together was amazing and the entire trip went as smoothly as could be. Special thanks to both of our guides (both named Moses). They were professional, knowledgeable, and excellent drivers on some exceedingly difficult roads. They also were amazing ambassadors of each country we visited and brought a unique perspective that we found priceless. They both spoke multiple languages (including perfect English) which was essential to easy transit throughout all of the various countries. We experienced wildlife like we never imagined, and the gorilla safari at Kahuzi-Biega National Park in the DRC was life-changing. The hotels we stayed at were five star and were all welcoming, safe, and authentic. We enjoyed some of the best food and drinks in all of our years of travel, in particular during the long drives when our guides chose local restaurants and hotels for a midday meal. We highly recommend this company and could not imagine a better experience!

I could not recommend this experience higher! I planned this trip for my family of 6 adults and worked with Joan (she was prompt and helpful with my many questions) to create a perfect itinerary. Our driver and guide Moses, brought that itinerary to life. He was fantastic! He had a great sense of humor, was incredibly knowledgeable, and got us everywhere we needed to be and safely. Bonus- we could hear him even from the back.
The lodges- Chimpanzee Lodge and Gorilla Solution Lodge- far exceeded expectations! The food was amazing and the hospitality was next to none. I was expecting very humble accommodations and the hospitality made them 5 star. That’s not even to mention the dancers who greeted us at both lodges.
We started with viewing chimps in Nyungwe which I’d highly recommend. Then we went up to Volcanoes to see the gorillas (oh my gosh)- Moses even got us to the gate first so we had plenty of time to get our coffee! On our last day we visited the golden monkeys and then did a short Kigali tour before going to the airport.
I would visit Rwanda again in a heartbeat and I’d choose this tour company every time!

My wife and I just returned home from Kenya in December from our second safari with Primate Safari Experiences LTD and it was nothing short of spectacular. We had previously used Primate Safari to curate, plan, and guide us through a 2020 trip to the DRC to visit Gorillas and onto Uganda for safaris at 2 different national parks. That trip was so amazing that I entrusted them with my 40th birthday adventure. I am the kind of guy who puts a lot of stock in birthdays, and I felt 40 was the biggest of them all. My wife and I are fortunate enough that we have traveled extensively and the service and level of hotels that primate safari booked for us was second to none.
We started our weeklong adventure by being picked up at the airport hotel in Nairobi and driven to the Maasai Mara to stay at the Sandriver hotel. Our guide was Joseph and Edward who arranged all our travel came on the journey as an additional guide. Joseph is an amazing guide, driver, and ambassador of Kenya. His level of professionalism and positivity is infectious in the best kind of way. Edward is as organized and calm a trip planner as I have ever found. Both men are true professionals. The Sandriver hotel has every luxury you could ask for from fine cuisine, beautiful pool, amazing drinks and bar, but it has the added benefit of hippos, elephants, and baboons who visit you quite frequently! Having a bull elephant come pop in for drinks by the fire is an experience I will never forget. The Maasai Mara park is truly the greatest place in the world to visit for a safari. I have been to half a dozen different parks across all of Africa and the Maasai Mara stands apart from the rest. No place on earth has the concentration of wildlife that is so accessible to see. We saw lions hunting and feeding their cubs, leopards lounging in trees, elephants grazing on grass and so much more.
From there we went to Lake Naivasha and stayed at the Elementaita Serena camp. This is in the mountain and lake district and is stunning to see. Thousands of Flamingos kept us company as I celebrated my 40th in pure luxury. It was then on to Amboseli Park to stay at Amboseli Tortilis camp. This is a sister hotel of Sandriver and provided the same level of luxury and service. Having a private dinner for two while watching the sun set with Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background was breath taking. Amboseli is smaller than the Maasai Mara but no less amazing in its wildlife diversity and beauty.
From Amboseli we were driven back to Nairobi for our next leg of our Africa itinerary. From start of planning phase Edward is amazing at communicating and his responses are always prompt and honest. I could not have planned or had a better 40th birthday. I recommend this company for any and all vacations and safaris you have to any country they do business in. They truly are the best!

I have spent an incredible 8 days exploring Uganda, visiting the stunning renzori mountains and getting to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat! This is a one of a kind experience and I would highly recommend if you fancy seeing gorillas, as it is ethical and you are also supporting local conservation efforts.
It was my first time travelling so far away from home by myself and Primate Safari Experience - namely Samuel (tour guide), Halima (travel consultant) and the Rwenzori trekking team made me feel very welcome.
Samuel was happy answer any questions I had about Uganda and I learnt a lot about the plants, animals, food and Ugandan culture through his extensive knowledge. As I booked with very short notice, Halima did a great job booking all the amazing guesthouses I stayed in and was very professional, responding to my emails very quickly.
In the Rwenzori mountains I trekked Lake Mahoma for 3 days letting me experience the different zones of vegetation - forest, bamboo forest and heather zones. It also allowed me to see many of the local animals including the Blue monkeys and Black and White Colobus monkeys. While this was a great experience, I found the walking days quite short, often ending at 2/3pm. So I would recommend doing a longer trek to one of the many peaks for even more breathtaking views.
This was a truly amazing experience and I would recommend it to everyone thinking of spending some time in Uganda. Thank you very much Primate Safari Experiences!

My three day visit to Rwanda's Volcanos National Park was a more fulfilling experience than I could have imagined thanks to the magnificent team at Primate Safari Experiences. On my first business trip to Kigali, I was able to find a small window to visit national park but with little advanced notice. Despite this constraint, Edward and Joan were able to arrange a magnificent itinerary, pre-booked me in one of the top of line lodges, arrange for 2 sets of permits and then indicated my safari guide, Moses would meet me at the hotel in Kigali - this all arranged by WhatsApp messaging in a matter of a few days. From there, Moses and Jane, who accompanied, were tremendous guides - They were always precisely on time, Moses was extremely careful in his driving the many hours, both were very interesting and knowledgable guides and most importantly, Moses used his intimate and useful contacts to help me get the best out of the short visit. I was placed in the best room in the hotel, for the Gorilla trek, I was placed in a favorable group and guided by one of the top supervisors, (pictured) and I was treated as a welcomed guest visitor at the fascinated cultural events arranged for me. No matter that I was traveling solo, the attention, precision and service, given to my three day solo visit was unsurpassed. I will be bringing my family for a longer visit soon, and I am sure Primate Safari Experience will create an incredible adventure.

I explored Kibale (Chimps), Bwindi (Gorillas), Murchison Falls, and did the Rwenzori trek all the way to Margherita Primate Peak. Wildlife Experiences took care of everything from start to finish. Everything was fantastic: experiences, lodges (some beautiful places), guide, support and communication along the way. Permits were secured ahead of time, itinerary was well designed, and Isaac (the guide) was amazing (always on time, great customer service, and with contacts in all key locations to make sure your experience is great). I strongly recommend this agency. They re really focused on making your experience one you won’t forget

My husband and I recently came back from a month-long trip to Africa. We had booked our trip with one company that was based in Tanzania, but for our Kenya and Uganda portion, they had a partnership with other companies, the one in Uganda was Primate Safari Experiences.
I was so very impressed with Edward the owner and our guide/driver Moses, that I wanted to write a separate review for their company.
Edward and his staff were quick to respond to my email inquries before we arrived, and everything seemed well organized from their end. On the day we arrived at the airport, both the owner and our guide were at the airport waiting for us, which was after midnight. Edward also checked in with me during our eight day adventure to see how we were doing, and also met us at the airport when we were being dropped off. I was very impressed by this and him going the extra mile to ensure everything was good and we were happy.
Our guide/driver Moses was also wonderful. He was very kind and knowledgeable and it was a pleasure getting to hang out with him for the week of our visit. His truck was also very clean and it perfect working order. He was great at spotting the animals and made us feel welcome and safe.
We were impressed with how much of a champ he is on these crazy long drives we had to do. We drove all over the place and I could barely stay awake, but felt very safe with his driving. He really made our trip to Uganda enjoyable, and we will definitely be hoping to get to drive with him next time we visit. Highly recommend Primate Expereices and Moses😊

I would like to thank Primate Safari Experiences for the wonderful effort they put into preparing such an amazing hike for us. I'm not gonna lie, the Rwenzori Mountain hike is tough and requires mental and physical strength. We managed to summit as a group and no one was left behind despite the hurdles along the trail. All this was possible because of Edward and Halima who managed to organize a wonderful group of Tour Guides, chefs, and porters who genuinely supported us throughout the whole expedition. I had an amazing experience I thought I'd never have at any point in my life. I highly recommend Primate Safari Experiences for their expertise, professionalism, and attention to safety which made the experience truly unforgettable.

Moses was a fantastic driver. Very personable and easy to talk to. He was happy to take me on fun side trips with great views of the lakes near Musanze. He was flexible when I requested to make little side trips. the vehicle was very comfortable. My only suggestion is that the pre-trip communications and planning from the vendor's trip arranger be a bit more clear and professional. but overall, I would happily use this company again if for no other reason other than to tour with Moses.

Where to start. The first interaction was with the administrator who provided superb detail and was very prompt with all my questions. The meet and greet was great, transportation was there waiting for us driving us safely to the Rwenzori. The guides were exceptional. Their experience is something only time can give. They’ll guide you throughout giving you the encouragement to keep going. The porters aren’t human. What they carry and prepare for food was nothing but amazing. The trip to margherita peak was definitely one of my favourite from many hikes I’ve done around the world. The landscape and terrain was outstanding and highly recommendable.
