I highly recommend booking your safari experience with Explore Uganda. I booked 2 different safaris with Dan, one with my husband and the other with my best friends. In the planning phase, I had many questions for Dan and he happily provided answers to all of them. He made the planning process extremely easy and assuring since he himself is so experienced and always had helpful information to share. We changed our plans a few different times and Dan was always available and ready to make adjustments, even a few days before our safari! During the safaris, I felt completely relaxed and safe while traveling with Dan and his other guide, Peter. You can tell Dan and his company have strong professional relationships with the lodges and personnel. I felt we were always getting a fair price and the quality of the lodges we stayed at were amazing. Dan was very flexible when plans changed, always kept time and would offer additional experiences not always planned. For a long weekend, I recommend visiting Murchison Falls and for longer trips, I recommend going to Bwindi to see the gorillas, Queen Elizabeth and Kibale to see the chimps! You will not regret booking your safari experience with Dan, I promise!

My friends and I booked a 4-day trip with Dan to Murchison Falls National Park after getting a glowing recommendation from an acquaintance that had taken a trip with his company. Dan did not disappoint in any aspect of our trip. He was incredibly flexible with our requests (including shortening the safari and adding an additional person just two days before the trip!); knowledgable about everything from Ugandan politics to spots on a giraffe; and extremely professional every step of the way. Dan exudes excitement and passion for showing off all that Uganda has to offer and it was a joy for us to experience it alongside him. I can't wait for my next trip :)

Our 4 day tour with one of Dan's most knowledgeable guides Zacc was an unforgettable one. Zacc ensured that we felt safe and comfortable wherever we went from Kimpala to Sipi, to Jinga and on our return to the airport in Entebbe. Zacc was accomdating, kind and provided us with great customer care throughout our trip. His relaxed demeanour kept us calm throughout the trip and his level of professionalism was excellent throughout. I would not hesitate to have him as our guide again. Thanks again Zacc!

Honestly, our whole experience was AMAZING! I cannot recommend Explore Uganda with Dan enough. I went on a 4 day trip to Murchison Falls National park with my friends and it was the trip of a lifetime. Dan was our guide and he was excellent from beginning to end. He was great at helping us plan our safari, he gave us great options but also was extremely flexible with what we wanted to do. He helped us pick excellent accommodations that had great food and made us feel comfortable the entire time. He was knowledgable about the animals, the area, Uganda as a whole, and he knew how to keep the vibes on point! He was fun, professional, passionate, and knew how to strike the balance between go with the flow and making sure we saw and did everything that we wanted to. Do yourself a favor and go on a safari with Dan!

Highly recommend Explore Uganda with Dan. We had a great experience and our driver Safik was great! Really nice guy, super informative and helpful!
We enjoyed a boat tour on Lake Victoria where we saw the source of the Nile as we made our way to Sipi which was our first stop. Sipi was amazing. Huge shout out to our wonderful local tour guide, Joeb! We hiked to the falls, abseiled down the final drop, had a coffee experience (Joel is fantastic, a genuinely lovely guy!) And finished the day with sunset beers! Couldn't recommend it enough! The accommodation was great there too - Reiki Lodge - fab views.
Our next stop was Murchison Falls, we stayed in Murchison Fort which was lovely! Game drives and boats tours! We also went to the top of the falls on the advice of Safik which gave us unbelievable views!
We moved onto Queen Elizabeth National Park next for more game drives and where we stayed in glamping style accommodation. Very cool experience - "sleeping in the wild" at Bush Lodge.
Next onto the highlight of our trip! Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest! It was the most unbelievable experience! Once in a lifetime and I couldn't recommend enough! Great trip all round!

Amazing experience with Dan and Ibrah! Came with a small team for business and reached out to Dan for a custom itinerary to explore Kampala and Murchison Falls during the weekend. Dan and Ibrah were incredibly flexible in working around our schedule and going above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience in Uganda. Highly recommend!

We had a great trip with Dan. In 13 days hè showed us a lot of beautifull and interesting things. You realy can feel hè loves his country and wants to share that you. He is a great gide and a perfect driver. He is flexibel and will fit your journey just the way you like it. Thank you Dan for having a really food time.

I made a trip to Jinja, Sipi Falls, Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and a guided walking tour in Kampala. Everything was well organised by Dan and he made sure to make the most out of the trip to make me happy. He was very flexible in organising great activities for me and even spontanous wishes and changes were no problem as he is well connected in the whole country. Dan is a very good driver and I always felt safe, even in the crazy traffic of Kampala. With his great personality and the huge knowledge about wildlife and also about the country he is the best choice to travel with. It feels like traveling with your very best friend. Thank you so much for this amazing and unforgettable trip Dan!

I went to Uganda for business and asked my mum to follow me to Uganda. I wanted to create a unique memory for my mum while she is here and asked Dan for his help to create such. What we ended up with was unbelieveable!
He created for us a unique travel tour, fitting to our schedule and wishes. We saw basically everything we dreamed of (big five, gorillas, breath taking landscapes) while we felt safe. That was especially for my mum a major point which I needed to make sure will be guaranteed - and it was! The chosen accommodations were beautiful and the drive were comfortable. I would consider Dan as a safe and attentive driver!
What I love is the culture of Uganda. And that is what Dan brought to us as well! He has a major knowledge about the country, the nature and the culture. There was not one question which was left unanswered (and I can assure you we asked a looot!).
My only wish is to bring my whole family to my next trip! That they as well can see the beauty of this country and experience such an amazing trip.

Game drive through murchison falls
We’re a group of 13 people that started our booking lightly not knowing what to expect out of our beautiful country Uganda.
I am glad that someone recommended Explore Uganda with Dan. The team turned out well organized, efficient, friendly, patient and very knowledgeable about Uganda. They answered our many questions.
You guys did an amazing job and afforded us a wonderful first exploration.
