We did the 4 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Experience and our guide was Tony, he was spectacular. He is very soft spoken but told us everything we needed to know, he drove us all over Uganda day after day-such a beautiful country. He got us to all of our spots that was shown in the tour, stopped when we needed to, got us there safe and of course got us to see the Gorillas. I highly recommend this company as Tony was great and pricing was very fair, accommodations were better than expected the same for the food.

Coming to Uganda on business I just had to take the time to see the fantastic wildlife in Uganda. I found a perfect trip with Friendly Gorillas Safaris, a 4 day safari including Queen Elizabeth NP and Bwindi NP.
We stated from Kampala and got to Queen Elizabeth NP on the first day starting with the boat tour of the Kazinga channel where we saw a great variety of wildlife and birds including Hippos and Buffalo as well as Water Bucks, African Eagles and Permanent Vultures. We then continued to safari in the park and saw a male Lion and Leopard as well as a Savil Cat, Kobs, Pumbas and others - the Big 4 on Day 1!!!
After a pleasant stay overnight we went the Kalizu NP and trekked in to see the Chimpanzees. They were amazing, very active and LOTs of them including babies. We then tuned south to the Bwindi NP and stayed overnight at the Ride 4 a Woman lodge, a great initiative by and for African women. The Gorilla trekking was awesome, we met with a group of 11 that were very friendly and tolerant of our presence, a once in a lifetime experience.
We then travelled though the Bwindi Impenetrable NP to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise and over night stay, very relaxing at the African Tent Resort, very friendly, good food and a great fireside chat, before returning to Kampala
This was a fantastic journey and delivered more than hoped for. My driver Eddie was awesome in his knowledge, help and guidance throughout the journey and more of a friend than just a driver – TOTALLY recommended.
I hope to return to Uganda and do a lot more as there is so much more to experience. Thoroughly recommend Friendly Gorilla Safaris – 5 stars!!!!!

We were travelling independently and Tony was one of the few agents that were happy to arrange a permit for a gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Park without having to buy a full tour package, and at a reasonable price.
We were a bit nervous about the lack of communication as we got nearer the date of the trek and the exact details of how it would work were a bit light but this is how things often happen in Uganda. It's just not what we'd expect given the amount of money we'd handed over!
In the end we had an incredible experience visiting the gorilla family and a day that will never be forgotten.

I was recommended by a friend who had traveled with this company before. When we started our plan to visit Uganda, i was afraid since i had not visited the country before, but, i tell you - you will have remarkable experiences as you explore the hospitable people, lush scenery, and, most importantly, your time with the mountain gorillas.
Anthony was calm with us throughout our booking process, and when we arrived, our guide Fasil and Tony made our stay worthwhile.
I now know why my friend chose to go back to Uganda with the same company. I can not recommend them enough.

This company was very receptive to all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. There was a 10 hour difference so keep that in mind. The entire team listened to our concerns and wants. They were extremely accommodating even for those with food sensitivity. While on the trip they continued to check in . Bliss and Anthony were easy to communicate and made this experience the best ever. We chose the budget package and it was awesome. Only 2 places/ lodging I would change but overall they just made the experience more unique and memorable. Definitely would use them again. We visited Tanzania 6 days, Kenya 2 days and Uganda 5 days. We saw so much culture and almost all the animals.

Last time we visited Uganda using the services of Friendly was splendid - this was in 2019. We decided to come back to Uganda and add Tanzania to our itinerary.... Friendly Gorillas was so understanding and made our East African stay great. I never wanted to disappoint my friends as they already believed in me and indeed the friendly team stood to their words and made me right!
The gorilla encounter was as amazing as ever. I can never get tired of watching gorillas. I guess i will still come back and visit them

The trip was very good, what I requested on booking. The guide was excellent very knowledgeable about Uganda, its history and the wildlife. enjoyed his company and was a pleasure to travel with.
The company was good, my only complaint would be the final details i received 2 days before my trip started. personally i would have preferred to have the final details finalised before leaving my home country. But i was met as agreed by Antony and Arafat(guide) .
the hotels were good, clean and comfortable the food fresh and tasty. personally i would have preferred more local Ugandan dishes but no complaints.

Our 10 days trip to Ruanda was great!
Amon, our guide, showed us so many nice places, thank you!
Our gorilla and chimpanzee trekking and the Akagera Nationalpark with all its lions, elephants, zebras, rhinos, hippos and crocodiles will always stay in our mind, thank you!
