Atleast you need 4days to get to this . Because , you need to drive from Entebbe to Bwindi and drive back, Day 1. Gorilla tracking south groups particularly Rushaga area, Lodge put up Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge. After tracking check out and sleep at Ruhija gate. sleep at Baking Lodge. Day2 Gorilla tracking, Ruhija gate, and if time permits , drive off until dark . But the best would be sleeping in Bwindi or Kabale town.

My wife and i had an unforgettable experience with Bamboo tours. The clear highlight was trekking to see Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi National Park. The hike was tough, the insects plentiful, but was amazing. We decided to go from Kigali as it was closer to Bwindi than Kampala, which involved a border crossing. Our guide Joseph was excellent guiding us through this, as well as dealing with all accommodation and even showed us around his local town's (Kisoro) market. The food at the accommodation was excellent. However i would advise caution to anyone who suffers with travel sickness, the roads to Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth provide a firm "African massage", which took it's toll by the 4th day, however this is no fault of the company or our great driver Vincent. On safari we saw lions, elephants, hippos, water hogs, kobs.

We just returned from what was one of the most memorable experiences of our lifetimes! From planning, to execution, Bamboo Ecotours excelled at making our dreams come true. From our first contact with Edison 8 months ago he was responsive, smart, sensitive to our budgetary and time constraints, and helped us plan a diverse range of activities, each day different from the rest. We were also extremely happy with the accommodations that Edison recommended. Buffalo Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth Park was a great free standing cottage with large rooms and great African character. Rushaga Gorilla Camp also exceeded our expectations with a roomy canvas sided tent and a large balcony that overlooked the Batwa village below. Both lodges were described as being in the mid range category but both easily pushed the upper limits of that category. When it came to execution, our driver Fred took over. He picked us up at our hotel in Kigali exactly on time. We instantly felt a bond with Fred. He was a safe driver and very knowledgeable about the parks and the animals. But most importantly, Fred was a real person. He shared with us personal details about his life and lifestyle that gave us a unique perspective and insight into everyday life in Uganda that we otherwise would not have had. Being American, I don't hug very many other men but when Fred dropped us back at our hotel in Kigali, we both gave him a big heartfelt bear hug knowing that our time with him had come to an end way too soon. As a businessman, my standards for customer service are quite high Bamboo Ecotours met and exceeded them! Edison is an honest and trustworthy businessman. Do not hesitate to book your trip with this company. We love you Fred!!!

I tend to plan my trips with relatively short notice and that was the case with a visit to Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi. I reached out to Edison just a few weeks before my arrival into Entebbe. He responded immediately with utmost professionalism and this continued throughout the planning and execution. Despite the timing, Edison was able to secure a gorilla permit at Mgahinga as well as for chimps at Kibale (both magical of course). Four out of five lodgings were perfect - one can use some work (I understand they had recent management changes and Edison confirmed he will speak with them). The very best part of the experience, however, was the work ethic, knowledge, and overall pleasant nature of my guide, Herbert. He was an utter delight to work with and of the four or five guides I usually spend time with each year, he easily ranks as one of my favorite.

Thanks so much for such an excellent review! I'm glad to hear my correspondence was right on time. Responding promptly to our customers is one of our guiding principles at Bamboo Ecotours. Great that you enjoyed the trip and Herbert met your expectations. The lodging incident was so unfortunate. I spoke to the manager at the lodge and he promised to improve on the quality of services in the future. Hope to see you visiting us again in the future. -Edison
