On the top of my list of attractions in Uganda is KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK; and I have been fortunate enough to not only have visited this amazing wilderness park, but recently had the opportunity to return and spend another action packed few days. Like the first trip to Kidepo, I hired IGUFA SAFARIS to take me up there, and this decision was definitely the right one. Very few safari companies have ventured up to Kidepo, as it is so remote and in terms of time, quite expensive. IGUFA SAFARIS have become one of the experts, as they have made many journeys to Kidepo and have quite a following from what I understand. They are so humble about their knowledge and understanding of this region, and this makes traveling with Albert and Mike such a pleasure. They seem to know how to keep one entertained every waking moment. We were so fortunate on this trip to see so many animals and the IGUFA team keep well informed on the migration and movements of the animals, which maximizes ones time with the animals, rather than too much time searching for the animals. I can only say good things about my journey to the north of Uganda with IGUFA and highly recommend them for both first time safari goers and seasoned travelers.

We hired IGUFA SAFARIS again to take us to Kidepo National Park in Northeast UGANDA. Wow...it was so wonderful. We did this same trip with Igufa Safaris last year and just couldn't wait to come back. No disappointments.....great staff, driving and customer service. It seems the one and only people that do tours that understand what travelers are looking for. Our friends that came with us enjoyed everything just as much as we did. Than you Mike and Albert....awesome memories

We booked with Igufa after a recommendation from a family friend, and we were pleased with the trip. We did a four day/three night trip from Kampala traveling by toyota van 6-7 hour drive to the mountains. We booked with Igufa as they were about half the price of the initial "high-end" tour package, and we felt like we still had a top-notch experience. Our overnight stays were two nights at Ichumbi Lodge next to Bwindi - rooms were clean, food was excellent, drinks weren't expensive, service was great, nice view of the park. Wifi was spotty. The Bwindi experience went well - definitely a life goal "ticked off". Then a final stay near Queen Elizabeth Park with a "game drive" and river cruise, and return back to Kampala. Our driver/guide was with us for four days and definitely worked out well - he was experienced and navigated the many checkpoints and road hazards with patience and persistence. Would definitely recommend Igufa for providing a top quality experience without eye watering prices. The Toyota 4wd van was just enough for the back roads, only complaint being a non-working seatbelt. Oh and for Bwindi you need actual real hiking shoes, not just "sneakers" or casual wear. Count on 1-2 hours of hard trails before you see the gorillas!

Thank you for your review BFM_MG, we were delighted that you chose us for your safari experience. Yes, the Bwindi experience is a highlight for many and glad that went well. Furthermore, we have moved to include "hiking shoe" mention in our guest communications. We've also since repaired the seat belts; this was all very helpful info for us to better our offering. I have lived in Uganda for over 10 years and used a number of travel agents for various excursions in and around Uganda. Last week I escorted a couple of friends on a journey to Kidepo National Park...the one and only Wilderness Park in Uganda. We were most fortunate to have Albert Ntambiko Katwire, the founder of Igufa Safaris, guide us. He is a very special person...tunes in immediately to everyone's needs and desires; and does his utmost to provide everything. I have worked with many travel agents and unsure how Albert keeps everyone happy...but he does a terrific job of taking care of everyone. Albert booked us in an Eco-Lodge just outside the Kidepo Park and it was excellent. Great food, great people and awesome views. We saw so many animals, including lions, elephants, water buffaloes, eland, and even a leopard. I highly recommed Igufa Safaris as well as their restaurant/coffee shop in Kampala by the name of Coffee At Last. Just the best possible.

Thank you for taking time to review us David. It was fantastic traveling you and your wonderful friends - some guests leave an impression and your crew definitely did with us. We also let the lodge management know how great you rated them. This pleased them and they have set about rectifying the few issues you mentioned; they had these scheduled.

Such a great company to have spent a day with. The air conditioned van and comfy seats great driver and guide made for such a memorable day. It was an early start but well worth the effort as Murchinson Falls national park was the best park to visit in Uganda. Hippos, Giraffe, elephants and lots more wildlife. Highly recommend this company

Yes - truly Murchison Falls is one of my personal favorites and I'm always excited to share it :-). It's also Uganda's largest conservation area with lots more variety than most. Thank you for visiting with us.
