- Anaïs G4 contributionsGood experience exept the manager behaviorThe beginning of the trip was perfect. Justus, the guide is the best guide, I really recommend ! I was a woman alone and I've never felt insecure. This experience is very expensive but it worth it ! The problem is that our car got a mechanical issue for the way back, so I return with another guide and his client. That why I have asked for a discount because it was not the same price to be alone or with someone. Moreover, it was supposed to be all inclusive and I had to buy my lunch and water on the return. I had at least one hour more of car because we had to enter Kampala to drop off the other client. I really think a discount was normal but no answer of the manager. It's really a shame to end things like that.Visited January 2023Written February 6, 2023

- Kathryn W1 contributionA local business working hard to promote their country, its people and precious wildlife. We wanted to support a local business and were rewarded with our decision. Justus (the owner) was very caring, answering our questions and offering advice. Our driver (also called Justus) was a very polite, local young man, perfectly familiar with the roads, the customs and was an immense help to us. I have no hesitation in recommending Gorilla Bookings Uganda.Visited April 2023Written July 25, 2023
- MarÃa L5 contributionsBest experience of my lifeUganda is an amazing country, not just because of its beautiful landscapes and varied animals but for its wonderful people. Our guide, Allan, showed us all of this and made this experience the best of our life’s. He found many animals in the safaris, and introduced us to local people and it’s culture. He has been the main reason of this unforgettable experience. If you come to Uganda you must book with him.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 21, 2023

We traveled with Gorilla Bookings (GB), and specifically with Jimmy as our guide and driver, in July 2022. Our primary objective was to encounter gorillas in the wild and we ultimately had two days of such encounters. Gorilla bookings set us up in perfect lodging and facilities all the way. Jimmy was a happy guy who was always positive, and we had a lot of laughs together on the trip; and he knows his birds quite well!
I highly recommend GB if you’re heading to gorilla country, and Uganda in general. You won’t be sorry. They know what they’re doing and they’re familiar with the ropes of travel in the region.
Also, I recommend, when you’re in the region, seeking out and spending a little bit of time with Batwa pygmies in the Bwindi region. We met an amazing young man, Luke Twinamasiko, in a village called Buhoma in the northern Bwindi area. He sole-handedly formed an organization called Green Mountain Initiative that is focused on : developing fresh water sources for the Buhoma community, a medical community for the local people, helping the desperately poor Batwa pygmies, supporting local elementary schools, and also incorporating ecological projects as part of his work.
This young man is so compassionate and driven with a purpose to help others and the Earth ecosystem in this life. You simply won’t find a finer human being on the earth than Luke. He will take you around his village to show you his projects, and to meet the Pygmies, and you will see that we need a lot more people in the world like him. It will add a tremendous diversity to your journey in Africa!!

We spent 3 nights and days in Uganda for Gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Gorilla Bookings organized the entire tour so amazingly, we always felt taken care of and appreciated. Special thanks go to our guide and driver Eli, he introduced us to his country with a warm heart. He drives safely, knows how to entertain you and can tell you everything about his country. He even spontaneously rearranged one accomodation place so that we had additional time to visit Lake Bunyonyi and also wouldn't have to rush to the airport on the last day. Also best wishes to his family which we met shortly. Only minus is we didn't spend more time with him!

If you're planning a trip to Uganda Gorilla Bookings is the way to go. They can take you on a one or two night chimp or gorilla trek, or plan a whole 10 day visit like they did for me. I knew little about Uganda and was going by myself. Justus is incredibly efficient and was patient as my plans kept changing. He responds to emails very promptly which gave me a sense of security before the trip that I was in good hands. I told him as long as I saw some gorillas and chimps, I didn't care what I did. He planned an incredible itinerary which include games drives (lions in trees!), boats rides where I saw hippos and more exotic birds than I can count, and provided options for community visits, etc. It was perfect. I stayed in wonderful small lodges with gorgeous views, incredible people and world class food. Allan, my guide, was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable, positive and kind. He provided real insight into the communities and culture of Uganda and had a whole network of people to call on when something came up. (Park Ranger Jane to find the lions in trees; a quick results COVID test clinic that I wanted to visit 2 days before I arrived back to Entebbe for my return flight so that I wouldn't stress about time on the last day.) I don't like to repeat countries because there are so many more places I want to visit, but on the drive back to Entebbe I was already creating an itinerary for my return visit to Uganda. There is so much to do and see, a 10 day visit is not nearly enough. It's the most beautiful country I've seen. And some of the lodges were so great and the people there so nice that I want to return to spend more time in each. Next time I might fly into or out of Kigali, which I hear is also wonderful (and would enable me to see another country). Gorilla Bookings can arrange that too.

Justus and Silvia responded very quickly to our request to organize our stay and they concocted a tailor-made trip that immediately appealed to us on paper. Then the payment took place by Pesapal with a little hiccup in the first payment but perfect for the balance.
We met Justus and our guide Allan the day after our arrival (in the middle of the night).
Allan made us discover the National Parks, the animals, the birds, but also made us go through small roads in order to discover the real life in Uganda and bring us closer to the Ugandan population and in particular the children who are dear. to Allen.
We were able to see the "Big Fives" including the leopard twice and the lions in the trees, and lots of birds and of course the gorillas that you can almost touch so much they are ready and the trekks on foot for the rhinos.
We can say that we will never forget Allan and our stay will forever be etched in our hearts.
We warmly recommend Gorilla Bookings

We have had a wonderful journey around Uganda with Gorilla Booking.
From the very beginning, Silvia from the office, has been very quick in responding to our inquiries, and so helpful in trying to meet all of our requests.
Once we arrived, we were greeted at Jero Farm with all the friendly people from the Company. What a great way to begin our journey.
Our guide, Allan, has done more to meet our needs than we could ever have expected. Through our many conversation, we have learned a lot about Uganda and it’s fantastic people.
We had a great encounter with a small group of chimpanses. Although there were many people, we still enjoyed the moments we had.
Our encounter with the Muyambi gorilla family was fantastic. Quite a tiresome hike, but well worth the effort.
Aside from the encounters with these magnificent creatures, we also had several fun and heartwarming moments with the local children, that will stay in our hearts forever. Despite the fact that they have so little to themselves, we were always greeted with big smiles and waving hands.
In regards to accommodation, we certainly appreciated Kibale Guest Cottages,
which had a nice small balcony outside each room and beautiful surrounding forest. Also the food was delicious here.
The next place, Ride 4 A Woman Hotel was a nice place that supports an important cause for woman. The people there were also very kind and accommodating.
However, the last place we stayed in, which was classified as mid-luxury, Bunyoni Lake Safaris, was anything but luxury. Back in 1994 when it was built, for sure the place must have been luxurious. But it seems to have not been maintained ever since, giving visitors a stay in run-down facilities.
Fortunately the staff, in particular Pleasure, the girl in the reception, were very kind and eager to meet our requests. So that made somewhat up for the run-down resort.
All in all we have had an unforgettable meeting with this beautiful country, thanks to a well planned trip by Gorilla Bookings. Can definitely be recommended!

We had a great experience with Gorilla Bookings. Justus listened to what I wanted and put together an itinerary that was exactly what we asked for, not the standard tourist fair. He was attentive, patient and knowledgeable. Our guide, also called Justus, provided the history and cultural context during our drives between treks or events, and dealt will all the details with ease. They make a great team. We saw chimps, baboons, gorillas elephants, water buffalo, impala, worthless, and so much more. It was an amazing experience, and great value for the money. I'd highly recommend them.

My friend Steve and I spent 10 incredible days with Jimmy this July 2022 touring Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth NP , Lake Mburo and many places in between.
I appreciated Jimmy’s knowledge about all things Uganda, the animals and the birds. Besides being a top notch guide I loved his enthusiasm for life and for people. He went out of his way to be sure we experienced the real Uganda and not just the touristy things. Jimmy seems to make friends with everyone he meets and his enthusiasm is infectious.
I can’t speak highly enough about my experience and was so glad I had Jimmy to show me his homeland. And best of all I have made a new lifelong friend even though he lives on the other side of the world.
Thanks to Gorilla Bookings, to Justus and especially to Jimmy for giving me an experience of a lifetime. If I hear of someone looking to go to Africa I will be sure to send them your way.
